    Games are toooooo quick

It is team play. You would just like to be able to more effectively carry your potato team, which is an opposite of team play. Enemy team won A and B, and quickly destroyed 50% of your team. You didn't won as decisively on your flank. If the score reached 0 because they were so effective, why not score their win? There are many games where game is finished after fixed number of points or point lead. You win two sets, and you don't need to play the third ;) You won the whole match. Stomping is not related to new ship lines. It is related to the flow of potatos who advance to the higher tiers in PvP despite doing not much except of losing & dying. Yup. Winning by "zero" is quite rare. And it is quite nice - only it should be rewarded more to the victorious team, because in the current situation also winners are penalized with smaller xp because of the faster win. Nope. Standard battle quite often is lost by the team which has more kills. It just takes one lone DD to go and cap... Yup. It is about $$$. But it is very shortsighted approach. Potatos buy stuff, but dedicated players buy much more. Also, "not-casual" players are what creates the "playability" and "atmosphere" of the game. Potato mix is not very attractive and if also game rules are tailored for potato player base (and not towards rewarding skill) it is straight way to the sad end.
  2. This is simple effect of WG policy that "advancing" requires only some amount of time (+money) spent. No brain required, no results required. Nothing more required. You just buy a Tirpitz - kaboom, you are a T8 playah! You just die your way up to Yamato: no problem. It will take you just a few times more games than a unicum player needs. Tutorials? Buahahaha. The only way is to prevent potatos from advancing to higher tiers in PvP mode. Until they prove "they know what they do" by finishing corresponding missions. They simply don't give a f*k. Just want to "swim around", do "kaboom" and admire the sound+graphics. It is perfectly fine - but they should be restricted to co-op where they can do all that without ruining other people fun. T9 with few hundred games is not a horror. A horror is T10 guy with 4000 games total, with 500 games in one ship and abysmal results like WR=30% dmg=30% of the server average. Every ship line should have a mission (several games long) to prove that one is worthy of advancing to the next tier in that line. And problem solved. Potato can't pass the exam? Potato isn't allowed to play the next tier in PvP. He's invited to use his new ship in co-op, and best wishes for him there. We are not talking about "elite". Elite most of the time can carry even potato team. It is the Average Learning-To-Play Joe who struggles with Not-Giving-A-F*k potatos the most. If you rename "tutorials" as "exam missions" this is what I would like to see. Yes, it is an effort to design and tune the missions, and there would be an outcry of potatos who can't proceed to their "Yamato" and ruin PvP T10 games - but it is necessary. We've had this conversation before. And this is not matter of clans nor weekends. If you want to just "enjoy" - go to co-op, where you won't ruin someone else's fun (much).
  3. It is quite interesting detail that at that time Błyskawica was already rearmed with 8x102mm dual-purpose guns (instead of known from WoWS 7x120 "sea-only") - but commander decided not to use them because the fire control tower was out of service being refitted by the shipyard. He thought individually controlled fire would be dangerous for nearby friendlies and surrounding buildings. The defence was made with 4x40mm Bofors guns and lower caliber machine guns, and it was mostly a barrage fire, conducted without any sophisticated radar control, with search-lights only, frequently (because of the deployed smoke and night) targeting was made "by ear" - guns were fired in the direction where planes could be heard ;) So, not many planes were shot down, but the main effect was to force bombers to prematurely drop their load, to drop from much higher altitude, or just decrease their accuracy. Błyskawica reported firing that one night 2030 40mm rounds. For comparison, in 1944, South Dakota class USS Indiana was under heavy attack all day (parts of 700 plane Japanese force) during the "Great Marianas Turkey Shoot" and her 6x4 40mm Bofors AA used 4800 rounds - so it seems Polish gunners that night put out 3x more rounds per gun giving effective firepower of half of US battleship at this range They really had to cool them with buckets of river water... And all that was disobeying of a direct British order which specifically was about removing all the ammo from docked ship. BTW, it would be really nice to have "Błyskawica" with 8x102mm universal guns (Akizuki - like...) as a T8 premium, and the current T7 ship left as "Grom" which was sunk in Norway before being rearmed.
  4. Nope (except for the last one). 0 pinky damage. So that would confirm that WG can't into simple game counters I've been pinky quite a few times before, and as far as my memory serves it always was 5 games. I don't remember when the last time happened ... maybe a week ago? I never noticed any step-up in assigned number of pinky games. Too bad I couldn't avoid that careless Konigsberg (I was in a BB, turning under fire, he was slowing down before my bow...). Anyway, the whole thing seems more sh##ty then, because I remember an old case when some moron bumped into my pinky Nassau in his DD intentionally through the whole game. WG doesn't care, it seems? Quite stupid assumption from WG then. It was one stray automatic torpedo. I didn't even have much to say where this will be launched, after this bloody circle went yellow - and I am not that great CV player anyway, that's why I chose co-op ffs. 19 pinky games for that? Wrong counter making it 20? Why not sending me to gulag right away I didn't notice, probably you're right. Though counting games played shouldn't be that hard, I think, and the counter should be corrected in my 3rd game
  5. omg. Nice conviction for one "automatic" torp in co-op. It's a pity that I didn't keep clean record so there is an additional unknown factor
  6. I also thought it is only a "display error". That's why I showed the third game, which in case of "display glitch" would give "16", but there is still 17. Update: I just finished next game, after re-logging to the server (nice 7v7...) - although in this game my Fuso had some close-touch with careless friendly Konigsberg, so the counter didn't decrease. Yet - it is 17, not 16. My guess is that the bug may be related to "day change"...
  7. OK. I am not into co-op too much, it seems WG doesn't want to hand too many medals. But this only explains 27k for 1 torp. Why suddenly 19 games conviction for that?
  8. More weird things happen in pinkyland: I played 3 games. Started 2nd before 1st ended. Didn't decrease the counter correctly. 3rd game still shows "17 pinky games left", despite me not doing anything pinky in 3 games, so 19-3 should be 16 Game 1 (Konig): Game 2 (Fuso): Game 3 (Fuso): Am I missing something, or is it just the quality WG software...

The kind of Matchmaking that needs to stop

Point is, such a game is reduced to "DD vs DD" duel, and if by some accident 5 vs 5 ends with 4:0 or even 3:0, the team remaining with "0" is in very sad position. Position which has "0" common with "fair play" or "equal chances". Good luck with your "sonar" vs Gearing torps, not to mention that 1) the consumable wears off quite fast and only slows/somewhat reduces the threat 2) torping is only one of many aspects which cause unequal chances... Are you really telling that for example domination game 2x Bismarck vs 2x Gearing is OK?

The kind of Matchmaking that needs to stop

Hello? Anybody home? I wrote "in this particular game". 4x T10 DD vs what -- a single NewOrleans? from the other side a bit better: Missouri + Moines, but still this is 2 vs 4. And there is also 5th DD which has to be taken care of. Don't tell me about CV.. most of them has DD in "high regard" and focuses on "dealing dmg" to the fatter targets.

The kind of Matchmaking that needs to stop

The main problem in this particular game is that DD are T10 and they have no counter (only T8 CV, not enough cruisers). Lots of HP (hard to kill), walls of invisible torps, deadly guns with +2 tier fire chance. The cancer of WoWS in general is being -2 tiered, which most of the time means you have to struggle instead of having fair game and fun.
  12. I had time to play mostly only on week 1 and 3 - and I finished with 3x175 too. Didn't "race", but just accidentally could play more during last few days. Maybe if I had time in week 2... and be a bit better/seal-clubbing/divisioned and got some of those +100 rewards... Hm. Anyway I don't think there is "plenty" of those who reached 800. Maybe a few of those full-time players or exceptionally skilled & clanning/divisioning. They are heavily over-represented on this forum, though - so this can be misleading here Of course true "completion rates" are top-secret and will be never published, so you have to "believe". Generally though it's quite clear that mission requirements to reward ratio was in full agreement with WG standards: Complete NUTS.

    Win Rate

What is the problem? I typically don't have time to WoWS as much as I would like to, but for example last few days I made myself a "long weekend" so I have ~same amount of games as OP during last few days. So? What has his losing streak to do with that? What has youtubers' performance to do with that? I just think you have no idea yourself ;) No, you can't. Unless carried by a unicum divisionmates or smtn. Rest is random, so if you're better you will have WR over 50% if you play enough games. Isn't that obvious? What did you do on your math lessons? Nope. If you are better, you have more influence. This won't give you victory every time, but you will win more if you are not a potato. After long enough sequence of games, (if games are really random) you will get higher WR than a potato. Once again. Isn't that obvious? This is called "personal statistics" I would advice the opposite. OP, you play too narrow range of tiers. Practically mostly T10, excluding good ol' Belfast which is a special case, because this boat needs at least one brain in your team to support you. You play mostly solo, and in T10 divisions and skilled players are (statistically...) more abundant. I have similar number of games and dmg counts to yours - and I had losing streaks (10-20 battles...) too. But it averages out if you play wider (not narrower) range of tiers and classes. If you have bad experience in one kind of games, try another. Dust off good old T5-T7 boats. Do some seal clubbing in T3-T4 Change time of day you play, your team composition depends very much on that too.

    May 4th, a very important...

You mean, to end the war before that winter? That was decided when Stalin stopped the offensive to allow Warsaw to bleed out in August'44. Reasons were both political: Soviets wanted to do the dirty work on Poland with German hands - and to some extent military too: supply lines were overstretched, and although Soviet Blitz went OK it could be risky to hit for Berlin right away. Anyway, Soviets stopped for a few months - and it was only their imminent victory after they resumed their push in Jan-Feb'1945 which prompted Germans to give up on the Western Front. This was basically a race "who takes which territory". Germans for obvious reasons preferred to be occupied by US/UK, not by Soviets. Also, stopping in 1944 allowed Soviets to enforce their ownership on the eastern part of Poland, in the "sphere of influence" in borders described by Ribbentrop-Molotov 1939 pact - and they had time to create Polish puppet "government" without independent Polish government in London being able to interfere. Just bloody politics... Hunger Winter in Holland was a terrible thing, 30 thousand people starved to death - but Stalin didn't hesitate to leave 200.000 Warsaw civilians to be slaughtered during a few weeks and 700.000 to be expelled after fall of the uprising, just to have Polish underground forces destroyed and have easier task with pacifying Poles later.
  15. I didn't check right away... So maybe it was a two-digit at one moment! Sometimes, rarily, I have "be-nice charity periods" and the "karma" can climb a bit - but usually is soon back to the usual value. Now it is 3, so still outstanding, considering I had time to play WoWS recently...

The amount of destroyers in each batlle

Of course MM should limit team compositions to several fixed rigid setups. Like 3dd+3bb+0-2cv+4-6ca 4dd+7ca+2bb (maybe with 1cv sometimes) or for balancing the queue, if there is too many dd/bb/ca waiting: 12dd 12bb 12ca Of course all with +/-1 tier matchmaking only. Of course DD numbers in both teams HAVE to be EXACTLY equal, and EXACTLY identical regarding the "subclass" count (gunboat, stealth, or hybrid). Not only in domination or epicenter modes (which is SO OBVIOUS), but always. I wonder, how long will take WG to figure out they should & have to do that.
  17. That's why WG should put the checkbox: "Allow me to be matched as -2 tier." If you like, it is your choice - anyway forget about sealclubbing as +2... But generally it should be +/-1 which already is sacrificing some part of the "fair fight" for "the variety".

    Why are BBs so chicken?

Battleships do not need to cross the road. The have good range!
  19. Oh, so that's why I suddenly had 8 Karma Thx! It was a good game. I am quite whiny on chat (too) - and not very friendly towards all potatos, late-loaders or knowing-better-divisions, so I usually keep my "karma" at good hard Zero ;)

    0.6.5 graf spee change

There was a plan for modernization and replacing 150mm/105mm with universal 127mm (most probably in double turrets)... but the war stopped that. Secondaries on those ships were meant to sunk merchant ships at close range. There wasn't even separate fire control for those guns and they didn't have enough ammo stored for typical warship-warship fights. WG could do something funny and include a hull version with fake smokestack and this "third turret" prop.

PC Upgrade Requirements to play wow

SSD or other disk setup of similar speed (HDD RAID?) should be a minimal requirement for WoWS. If not - loading times should have to be at least a minute longer. For now in each game while I am usually loaded 30 secs before the game starts, many scrubs are happily offline even 1-2 minutes after I started moving. This is really annoying, especially if it is a DD in domination game or a CV which sometimes doesn't even load and is already being sniped. Small 64-128GB SSD is nowadays cheaper than most of premium ships in this game... and still frequently "playerz" can have Sextium 15GHz with septylion Gigs of RAM plus GeForce 2000 GTX and still load like a snail with a single fragmented struggling magnetic drive. Regarding "what hardware is enough": my quite old laptop manages ~30fps and it is i7-3610QM, 8GB RAM with GT-650M old mobile card. Had to tweak settings around 'medium' though. I also use some assembled stationary with parts like i7-3770k, 16GB RAM and GTX-550 card, which manages full quality at 50-60fps without any problems.

    Karma, reporting, the whole Shebang.

The whole "karma thing" and "report system" is just a useless piece of code introduced by WG only to "vent the frustration". It is so subjective and abused that I can't believe it has any real effect - apart from quite random auto-banning people from the chat for 24 hours. I read that "misbehaviors in chat" are not counted if the target didn't write anything on chat, and I really hope WG ignores consecutive identical reports sent by one player. Anyway, one still could be reported for bad play, botting and chat misbehavior, so one triple division can hand over -9 points ;)

    Belfast is "slightly" overpowered?

Either the ship just is OP or the ship is OP "among skilled players" If the ship is OP only "among skilled players" then it means that those players are OP not the ship... And how would you propose to nerf the ship for skilled players only? It seems this is exactly what WG did What is so hard to understand, "m8"? This is fragment from warships.today, and "ofc" it is NOT in a division (the word "solo"). Same results in entry-level IJN T4 CV, as in the supposedly Supah-OP T7 cruiser. This simply means those results are results of the player, not the ship. Explain please?
  24. EdiJo

    Belfast is "slightly" overpowered?

BS. Rest all you want I have better stats in quite a few other ships - but of course you'll tell me that "this is not enough games" lol ;) And I play Belfi a lot because this is my way to earn credits + free cmdr exp (my only 19-pt captain - no need to have separate premium for each nation anymore...) so the only comparable ship is the poor old nerfed Cleve which I played more than a year ago. I have better or similar stats to the Belfi in Shchors, Takao, Bogatyr, Chapa. Higher win rate is a simple result of the fact that Belfast is a ship which directly contests cap points and closely supports/kills DD which increases winning chance (but not much damage numbers). That is exactly the point. Not the ship is "OP", but the player. Nobody calls Hosho "OP" (apart from WG maybe ) And reaching higher WR in lower tier is characteristic for a player skill advantage, not the ship itself. Giving results of unicum players (additionally often playing with support of a division) as "OP proof" makes no sense.
