I disagree completely. I mean if you grind missouri you wont be able to use any free XP for modules or skipping ships for about 1k games. So basically you create yourself a money problem. And if you decide to buy Missouri you could rather spend all those doubloons to convert silver directly or buy some bundle from premium store instead. So the argument that its a money maker is pretty weak. -

I didnt get Missouri and I wont get Nelson because free xp ships are seriously overpriced, both in terms of the freexp itself and if you wanna convert. If they sell it as a normal prem then I will get it no doubt. -
Kii is not really shorter, its only about 2 meters shorter I think youre mixing Kii with Tosa, bacuse Tosa is basically a slower but more heavily armored Amagi plus Tosa is 20 meters shorter than both Kii and Amagi.

Hey BB main here, and I must say deep water torps in their current state are unfair to cruisers. Most cruisers dont even use Hydro due to Hydro and Def AA are in the same consumable slot. Anyway Hydro isnt always up, and also in the beginning of the game you will not always know where the first DDs will come from, making it so that by the time you know a DD is close its too late to hydro. So I support most cruisers being immune to DWT, but instead let DDs chose between DWT and normal torps during battle. Anything else seems gimped imo -
Do not underestimate Amagi's sloped citadel. Most BBs and all Cruisers has a hard time citadelling it when closer than 12km

Yep, a DD that cant Torp DDs in knife fights or smokes, cant torp CLs camping in smoke or cant kill radar cruiser safely with torps is pretty much terrible (unless youre russian). I barely play DD, but when I do I always prioritize torping targets I can one shot like DDs and weak Cruisers. I usually dont care about BBs till all DD and cruiser threats are dead. -
From what I've heard, it has the same sloped citadel as Amagi.

I might take away what I said about Kii being a good brawler. The torps themselves are good for being a BB, but its basically the Yubari torps lmao. Secondaries themselves are trash (as expected), but atleast that saves me from respeccing a cpt or training a new one. The turret rotation is so slow, which is super bad for brawling. The reload doesnt really help either. Personally I would like if they gave Kii good rotation and reload in exchange for even worse accuracy maybe to further make her fit for brawling. Anyway ship still looks nice. An IJN BB with a little more versatility, trading accuracy for some extra strengths here and there. Her AA being better than Alabama and NC is a little worrying, but Alabama and NC are way stronger than Amagi already so I dont mind in the end. -

I dont mind this sship. I think Ill buy. It doesnt look OP due to the trade offs, and the modern 100mms and 40mms is nice since we wont see them on any other IJN BB i think. A lower tier IJN BB brawler will be just what Ive wanted for a while. -
Why are people in this thread complaining about this line being both "copies of existing ships" and "WG wasting time on an insignificant navy". Basically using existing assets to create a new line requires almost no work compared to model and balance a line of new ships from scratch. This also serves as a testbed for gimmicks without having RN fanboys complaining their fav ships are different from their expectations. Lastly the N-class DD model has be be completed for either the RN line or for a prem ship anyways, so basically time is not really wasted. Usually in a game dev pipeline some branches are left with periods of less work, and now that RN BBs models are done other parts of WG may be free to make whatever this line is while they wait for the next batch of game models are completed.

The only thing that helps BBs in brawls is good Bow armor and turtleback. All or nothing armor schemes (Thick main belt and deck, weak upper plating and bow armor) are armor schemes desinged for long range warfare lmao. You can read up on this in almost every US BB wiki article....

Free XP prems are the stupidest thing imo, it combines the worst of both normal prems and ship grinds. Wallet warriors will still buy it and have no clue how to play at the tier with the said ship. For people who want to grind it out it means they hafta pain themselves through stock ships and underperforming ships. As well as just how long it takes. First win+papa papa can earn you around 1k free XP... meaning 400 games to buy it, and thats without adding the losses and the flagless games. Even for wallet warriors its a real pain since they cost just that much extra to buy out. I hope WG drops the freexp premium practice.

1" may be thicker than most contemporaries, but thats still only 25mm so in one way its already buffed. Tbh tho the 15" Monarch wont have underperforming guns and the other strengths of KGV at 7 will carry it through... I think

Deck armor is not the same thing as upper deck armor. So as far as I'm concerned 32mm may already be thicker than it actually was. And belt doesnt really matter that much anyway...

Whoa there are a lot RN fanboying going around. I mean in the current BB line is just fine. Better heal and concealment to compensate for worse armor layout and HP pool. Reasonably good guns all around backed up by some strong mid range AA. I only really have two problems. They really shouldn't give Conqueror those insane auto bounce angles, I think it looks plenty strong already. Also I really want them to include the 114mm AA guns on at least one of the Lion designs. The exclusion of a modern DP gun on the later RN BBs makes for a really unbalanced AA loadout imo since all are focused on the mid range AA. Other than that I dont mind the RN BBs being a little quirky. Cant wait to play around with em

Most large turrets doesnt have the machinery to be able to rotate 360 degrees anyway. I'm not an expert on this perticular subject but thats what I've heard. -

Tbh I dont care about the "low hanging fruit" premiums. I'm completely fine with Dreadnought and Vanguard being premiums.

How to fix Detonations: 1: make it an actual predictable game mechanic (like have a detonation meter that fills up if you take too many citadels/torps to the magazine or burn for too long) 2: make it spectacular with an actual big explosion that anyone on the map can see and that lifts the ship above the waterline. That way its at least somewhat satisfying. -
I disagree with WG a lot on this "Nelson is too odd for the line" thing, I mean its way more odd to go from Queen Elizabeth which can overmatch anything for its tier compared to KGV's 14" that bounce any BB except for tier 5s and even bounce off tier 8 cruisers. I think Nelson should be in the line and KGV be the free xp one. I mean Nelson and Queen even have the same speed while KGV is decently fast for its tier. WG really either didnt think this through or just is really bad at making excuses

You know about linear dispersion right? Basically Mutsu is accurate on long range, but is actually less accurate than german BBs at close range. I know dispersion on long range is more important, but the problem is that Mutsu doesnt have the penetration to use that long range dispersion for any good, forcing you to go into short range where your dispersion suddenly is worse than US and German. So basically buffing the accuracy by just slapping on a .1 or .2 sigma is the simplest buff. Personally I would prefer if they lowered the citadel so that its less punishing to play at close range where the torps have value and guns can pen properly. Alternatively they could also buff stuff like secondaries, but then again its useless without having the full power of manual secondaries and since the 140mms shoot AP that bounces on DDs that barely angle.

Yep, the secondaries was a selling point for me since the plane loadout style is not really to my taste, but since the range is completely useless and the 200mms shoot AP I didnt get it. If they were to buff the range on the other hand I'll buy Kaga as well... any day man

Vanguard is tier 8 material by far lmao Its would be kinda like a tier 8 Hood, Kinda bad dpm for its tier, but basically survivability compared to a tier higher, as well as good speed and very strong AA (much more reliable than Hood's) Hood would have around 72 000 hp, combined with something like a buffed heal or Warspite dmg con could easily be used to make up for any other weaknesses.

So when are they buffing the Gali? Its still just worse compared to the other tier 6s...
