DW torps being able to hit Cruisers is a bad idea. Cruisers are the class that benefits the most from spotting torps early (after DDs ofc) since they have the agility to react. I see the argument that people say "only noobs sail in straight line anyways" and I in return say "only noob DDs aim straight for the predicted line". Also what about for example French Cruisers that use their speed to dodge (forcing them to go in straight lines as to not bleed speed). The argument: "ITS NOT OP JUST DODGE IT LMAO" is not an argument. DW torps was a mistake.

Thats because WG is using the standard load for Ashitaka but full load on Nagato. It doesnt make sense. At full load Ashitaka would be far heavier than 41k metric tons.

Kii does not have good guns... at ALLL I'd take Tirpitz' main guns anyday even if I had to give up 2 guns... Right now Kii doesnt pull through mainly due to terrible guns.

Kii is a terrible brawler, yet it has torps. Kiis ingame design is a self contradictory mess. I hate the ship.

No you cant buff the citadel roof, that would mean that the upcoming USN AP bombs will deal more damage to it

I noticed something Ashitaka shouldn't have only 59k HP. It should have closer to Amagi HP for sure. As planned Ashitaka would be heavier than Nagato (after refit) so why does Ashitaka have 6k less HP than Nagato? Nagato at Standard displacement 39,130 t = 65 000 HP Ashitaka at Standard displacement 41,217 t = 59 400 HP ?!?!?!?! I know WG use displacement at Full load, but still, this difference is way to much. Especially when considering Ashitaka is a much bigger ship AND has worse armor. WG fix pls. Right now Ashitaka needs some love and it for sure could use some extra HP. Everything points to Ashitaka having closer to Hood levels of HP, but it would balance out as Ashitaka doesnt have the armor to back it up.

Did I say it was surprising? No. I said that it was weird that a smaller gun that emphasized muzzle velocity had better penetration at range than a bigger gun that emphasized shell weight. Dont put words in my mouth please.

I really hope we get the choice between qud 406mm/16" guns and triple 431mm/17" guns on the tier 10 Also giving Alsace the choice between quad 15" and triple 16" would be cool.

Only real way to buff Prinz and Hipper is to buff RoF to 10-12 seconds. Historically Hipper has the fastest firing 8" guns at tier 8, yet ingame its the slowest after Mogami/Atago (which has 2 more guns as well as many other pros). Hipper/Prinz's potential RoF right now is way to low so playing risky rewards with too little reward even if you get the chance to shoot at enemy broadsides.

Myogi, Kongoand Amagi can all play pretty aggressive without much issue.

I agree, and thats why I said "you CANT play it like most OTHER brainless BBs" Mutsu takes some getting used to and a Fuso/NM can easily do 40k to you if you show broadsifede. Hence why I said that you cant play Mutsu like other brainless BBs that have turtleback or submerged citadels.

No they're not lightweight, but still faaaaar lighter than the the Mark 8. But yeah I'm checking the historical data and sure enough it adds up. The model 1939 actually beats it out of the water. Makes sense that I make this mistake, cant remember having checked the info on the US Mk 6 16" gun before.

For me its quite the opposite. The above average speed and reliable accuracy at range makes it quite the performer in random battles. The overmatching guns are reliable against all tier 5-7 ships if you know how to aim, they wont pen the belt armor, but they will net you a lot of normal pens if you hit upper plating or deck which is a majority of the hits anyway. You cant play it like most of other brainless BBs, but once you get used to Mutsu it never fails. Trust me.

Mutsu is okay. Shes very fun for a BB, but shes very much balanced compared to other tier 6s. Sure she doesnt have Warspite heal or Bayern armor, but she has a lot more HP. Sure she doesnt have 2.0 sigms like Warspite, but her base dispersion pattern is much better. Could Mutsu use a buff? Yeah sure it wouldnt hurt anybody. Does Mutsu need "fixing"? No shes on the weaker side of balanced, but still fun and rewarding to play.

Yeah thats inflated alright. What I came up with as "reasonable" AA values historically was around 5 dps per mount at 4-4.5km. Tbh I dont mind it too much as its still far from strong. If anything it just gives Roma players at least some way to potentially deal with a CV meta (if that ever were to happen ) Gameplay wise I have no problem with this.

haha, you know I was never going to buy her for her looks. I think Ive mentioned before that I dont like the Dreadnought era looks at all. Then again Ashitaka is still IJN so it aint that bad

Yep I would like to know just how much WG inflated the effectiveness of those 90mm guns.

Degrasse> Aosta Degrasses much better HE dmg and Firechance beats it out of the water. Both are squishy, but Degrasses speed, range and AA deals better with that weakness.

Ill skip Ashitaka till they buff it. Right now you give up waaay to much for very little. I mean the main guns are arguably much worse than Nagatos main guns and the guns on Ashitaka are supposed to be its strong suit. That on top of much weaker armor layout, AA, less HP, bigger target, lack of catapult plane, etc etc. All this makes for a ship not worth paying a dime for. Ill wait for a buff

Valid point. Its a pretty subjective dilemma. Cater to history or a new market. For me I'm on the third team, I simply just want interesting ships in the game that brings about new playstyles, characteristics and shifts to meta. If its historical its a big bonus yes, and if I can see the logic in expanding the market value for the game I can understand it. But bottom line for me is gameplay. And afaik Swedish boats can do just that. For all I know Netherlands might as well.

Sweden wouldnt even need silver ships for a full DD line. I'm no expert on Netherlands navy so idk about them, but sweden would have IN ABSOLUTE WORST CASE SCENARIO less paper ships than German DDs has.

Same reason I love Mutsu. Has a lot of personality, both relatively high risk for their ship type and yet very balanced. Currently at around 90k average as well in Kii and feels really good when you master them. Just refreshing that there are at least some BBs that still fit this bill. I'm shifting more and more towards a cruiser player just because BB play isnt really all that exciting anymore.

I really havent made any list and done my research on this. I just think that if a country CAN make a whole silver line, it should instead of getting forcefully included in a pan european tree. If the rest of Europe cant make a tree then WG can do like WT where you include the ships are premiums for their closest in game major nation.
