Hiya, I have a problem that prevents me from enjoying and playing the game. I find in most matchups the ships involved, friendly or hostile are not where they appear to be on my screen. They are often far infront of their visual location, meaning hitting destroyers is near impossible and getting hit by torpedoes is common place as you don't have a good visual of where you truely are. I have questioned this before but there wasn't anything solid on the matter and I wasn't sure if I was the only one. I was asked to use ping plotter but I do not understand the data being presented to me and whether or not it's just my ISP. The picture attached is a readout of what pingplotter says before, during and just after a match.

Ships aren't where they appear to be in most games.

So, if it is my ISP i'm guessing there is absolutely nothing I can do to fix the issue? If that's so there isn't much point in my playing the game, right? -
Hiya, My friend and I wanted to get into the Beta and we are having a great time. This game promises to be great on release but while my friend has no issues, I do. I find that even though my ping is 40-50 I get a lag icon at the top left corner. Most notably I find that ships aren't where they say they are. I will fire rounds or torpedoes at a target and watch them go straight through the ship itself only to find that if I aim well in front of the enemy ship they hit even though the model itself isn't on target with the weapons. What happens a lot with this is that a ship will die and instantly re-appear at the point at which the point it was killed. It looks as if it teleports forward to the destination after dying. As my friend doesn't have these issues I am curious as to what might be causing it at my end, considering my really good internet connection and low ping? With this lag issue I find playing against destroyers impossible as not only can they move quick and adjust course but I can't hit them as they aren't where they are on my screen. I have to just spray the area and pray. Thanks Occam -=-=-=-=-=-=- Basic details to hand incase asked: IP: Plus.Net Type: Fibre Broadband Connection: Ethernet Download speed avg (with 3 attempts): 37.9mb/s Upload speed avg (with 3 attempts): 18.8mb/s Machine spec: OS: Win7 RAM: 8GB CPU: AMD FX 8320 Eight Core GFX: NVIDIA GeForce GTX660

Yeah it seems most of my issues are due to the travel to the game server once it has left my immediate ISP. I get occasional jitter issues on my ISP hops but otherwise it's purely london, paris or the end server. That makes me sad. I can't enjoy the game at a higher level due to the amount of destroyers in it at the moment. It's a good variation of what fleets had and used but with this issue of latency I can't hit anything worth a damn or dodge incoming fire easily as it will land infront of me but still hit me.

OK, i'll have that on my other monitor while playing, can you tell me what am I looking for specifically? I really should have spent more time understanding networking at uni lol

You seem to have a heavier version of lag than me. Mine has nothing to do with aircraft and only occational loading in lag issues. I almost always get ship 'de-sync' is the only way I can explain it.

Ok thanks. Do you have any more details on what the bug is or if it's been identified?
