You can totally affect win rate, otherwise by the law of averages we would all have the same win rate... Try being one of the people who try to get their team organized. Or try not being 'that guy' that sails off by himself in the highest tier BB and dies first. Stick with your team mates, try to protect BBs if you are a CA. Try to spot for your team more if you are in a DD. If everyone played for the team instead of hiding behind islands or other team mates, you'd be surprised what happens.

upgrade the phoenix it is a beast and outranges kuma easily

With the upgrade phoenix you pretty much outrange all other CAs, and probably most of the BBs at that tier. Keep your distance and shoot ships that can't shoot back - profit. Know the ranges of everything, it will really help you as a player. Aiming just comes with practice.

heaven forbid that a company makes some money.. why do you think these people make games? I don't think they're asking for that much either compared to some games on the market right now.
-
I wish they would implement a player record signature so that everyone could just look at their general ship prefence and performance. I think it would be very revealing.

US DDs I find very hard to play now. This is after taking the US DD line up to Fletcher pre OBT. Smoke changes hit them hard, very hard.

spend £7 and join now?

This is a long range ship which is a bit like playing a BB. Don't rotate your guns, turn your ship. Use AP and you will have to be accurate and go for citadels. It will tear up other cruisers if you do this. 203mm guns are a bit misunderstood as people prefer to spray fire around quickly, but I must admit I always upgrade to 203mm. You just have to get those piercing shots off.

[Feedback] Please remove permanent turret destruction?
Shagulon replied to _GGHF_'s topic in Archive
I think there must be some kind of bug. I very often get some terrible broken part the first time I get hit in my DD. Turret, engine, steering.... Losing one of three turrets on your first hit seems bad. Maybe destroyed turrets could be limited to ships at half health and below? Do they have hit boxes on the ships for turrets or is it just a percent chance like engines and rudders? I would prefer it to be very small hit boxes on the ships, bring more skill into the game. -
constantly steering and engine going down....
-
Confirmed. The number of ships in my division keeps jumping back to zero and the game never starts. Grrr Not great after I couldn't participate on the OBT either.

What is the point of Kageros final hull upgrade?
Shagulon replied to Ew_'s topic in General Discussion
I never bought it and didn't even need to research it to unlock the shimikaze -
I disabled my anti-virus software when extracting and it still fails.
-
It crashes on install, why would dxdiag be of use (or even available)?
-
I don't think this is about planed attacking ships, it is also about the fact that it seems to do strange things to attacking with main artillery. Estimating the speed the ship "slips" along the border line doesn't seem to work correctly and it is actually quite hard to hit ships that do this.

I have this too, anything been said?

I love the domination game mode, but the games are over too quickly. My idea to rebalance this is to implement the victory condition countdown from Company of Heroes. Here, you only gain points from the number of victory points you hold MORE THAN the opposition. As far as I can make out, with every tick, you earn points towards victory for every point you hold in order. I think that if team 1 hold A, and team 2 hold B and C for example, then only point C should be earning points towards victory. This would mean that team 1 would not be earning victory points apart from ship kills, until they capped another point. If they both held one point, nobody gets any points. Also, I think it would be a good idea to make points have three states. Capped team 1, capped team 2 and uncapped. When team 1 is decapping a point owned by team 2, it should cycle through all three states. This way it would be possible to leave a point decapped that had previously been capped. So this essentially brings more depth to the game, plus slows down the insanely quick domination game mode.

I totally agree your point about main guns of IJN DDs. I get the differentiation with US DDs, but it is too severe just from a balance point of view. Now also seems overly harsh from an economic point of view too.
-
Strongly agree, everything is set up to reward how much damage you do. We therefore see a mad charge at the enemy, or people hanging back to engage half dead ships. Both trying to maximise personal gain. I think you should get double xp if your team wins.
-
Pay more attention to the cap points. Play the game mode you're I not the one you like... Simples

It won't if you use it correctly. Stay at max range and pound stuff with you 200mm guns, which are much more lifely to get penetrating AP rounds than the Omaha's 150mm guns. If anyone closes you can then use your excellent torps. It is fairly easy to get a lot of damage done in a match, but you must play conservatively.

Tier 3 and 4 feel like cruised destroyer hybrids. tier 5 is a cruiser and needs to be played differently. adapt, she is a fairly good ship.
