    Again, and i feel i've made this abundantly clear repeatedly, i welcome the constructive criticism. Notice the fact that i'm only arguing with you? because your the only one who honestly feels your opinion is the most important, and don't think so? well then why do you keep commenting on anyone's post that disagrees with yours? Lets have a look at your responses shall we, well first you decided to post a picture of Fry suggesting i have a below 40% win rate (nice bit of belittlement), your second comment, you replied to some other guy telling him his build was terrible, your third attempt (if we can call it that) you decided to impose an opinion which which laughably is the exact way to play the Moskva haha, i'm not asking how to play the moskva i'm asking how to play the Henri IV and finally you got frustrated because you realised no actually cares about your comments so you just compared my stats with yours to try and shut me up. that doesn't look like you've made "several reasons" does it. LOL, i haven't played over 5000 games i've played 4500. I'm not quite sure what makes you think i haven't made a posative contribution if my win rate is 47%? The trouble with this is that you've played 4 games in the Henri, you no nothing about how its played, and here you are suggesting i should take your advice and learn from it, if anything you should listen to my advice on the matter. I've just looked at your profile, so despite having played almost 3 times as many games as me your win rate is less than 10% higher than mine. Honestly mate check the statistics, your really not that much better than me, i reckon i could easily smash your skill level if i'd have played as many games as you :/. whats the problem MM been giving you a hard time, did you get killed by your team for being a pompous arse all the time?

    Lol you don't have the right to tell if an idea is good or not, you have the right to an opinion (that's it) and you also have the right to say that opinion, but seeing as the first few posts you gave weren't actually opinions just a random picture of fry and a critique of someone elses post, i'm inclined to just ignore your opinion altogether. The trouble with you is that i think you expect that when you compare your stats with mine you expect you've won the argument (which you started by the way, and you also turned this discussion toxic), trouble is you haven't one the argument, you've neither successfully argued against the use of secondaries nor have you contributed a solution which is all i really wanted in the first place. And i don't think boosting secondaries is a particularly new idea, many people have tried it, and well umm i think do understand the basics of the game, the whole point of the Question in Question was to for me.. to find a better way of destroying DDs when in close quarters, because.... i've tried the AA build and there aren't enough CV for it to be viable and i've tried the IFHE and faster eload speed on the guns build. this was a different concept all together. I really don't mind constructive criticism, just think your a muppet for assuming your word is final, your not god, your just a guy with an opinion. So say, and if i don't listen to it, then f*** off.

    Damn your as pretentious as you are ignorant, I said right on the first page that this wasn't a competitive build, just something for people who enjoy hunting DDs might find useful, don't believe me go and check yourself. I just can't get over what a pompous statement that is, just because I haven't played 10000 games doesn't mean i might have come up with an alternative idea. You yourself have displayed an astounding amount of arrogance in thinking you can even attempt to belittle someone who quite frankly knows more about the subject in question, do you for example know the detection range or even the max speed of the Henri? no then stopping giving an opinion which i can work out for myself, i asked the question in the hope i was going to get an intelligent and informative answer, instead i get you, with your instant comparison of stats and the that FATALITY bull, your not helping this discussion, your just trying to bully me.

    The reason i didn't hide my stats, is so that people could see i've played nearly 500 games in the HIV. I think people look at the long range and high fire chance and think oh just another Zao, but you need to look further into it, the AP on this ship is amazing a mid to short ranges, you can devastate BBs at close range, especially with adrenaline rush. The speed also works at a massive advantage, i have the speed boost Mod. on mine so i'm getting almost 5 mins worth of 43 Kts for each boost, that ability coupled with the rudder means, head on you can dodge at least 50% of the enemies shells. As i said, i feel the first 15 points are easy to choose, in order to boost its range, and handling. But the last 4 points are more difficult sure you could go for AA but now your relying upon meeting a CV in game and then relying on the CV to target you specifically, if you improve your rudder shift and you have engine boost activated you can dodge most of the torps 9 times out of 10. IFHE is also an option, but then you detract from the ability set fires, which means adding DE (which i honestly don't think it needs in the first place), and depriving it of its HE spamming abilites. AA is to situational, and IFHE is too costly, but there's one area that a Henri struggles in, and thats brawling with determined DD players at close range, the secondaries are strong and can add those extra few 1000 damage to a DD at the end of the game, or a set a fire to a cruiser your brawling. I'M NOT SUGGESTING THIS COULD BE USED AS A WAY TO BRAWL BBs, but as an alternative to two options which i don't think provide very much for you in the long run. I'd also like to add on an unrelated note, that alot of the negative comments on my post have come from people who actually have very little experience playing what i consider to be one of the more unique ships in the game. As a community i therefore think its outrageous that these people feel they have the right to be instantly dismissive of a more whacky and out of the box idea, without trying it and having really no other argument than, Its not the done thing or this is the set playstyle and don't deviate from it.

    i'm gunna be honest with you man, i respect the fact that you've played nearly twice as many games as me and you probably do understand the basics of every ship or of at least every ship line. But your the one who started being an arsehole to me for no reason. Furthermore, ask anyone Notser, Aaeroon and I chase gameing, if you honestly think 4 battles is enough time to know how a ship is supposed to be played then your just selling a croque of sh** to yourself. The whole point of this game is to adapt to a changing environment and to change your play style to keep up with the game, so please don't lecture me for thinking outside of the box and coming up with an original idea, may not be a great one, but atleast i'm willing to think and learn.

    Hiya, yeah i completely agree that that applies for battleships (but why would any cruiser be brawling with bbs anyway, haha), but i only came up with this idea when brawling and chasing down DDs, i'm not trying to get in a slug contest with a yamato, i'm just trying to kill dds and some cruisers faster, and this looked like an interesting option.

    well for starters, the only other ship like it is the Moskva, and the moskva doesn't have torpedoes, so there's no option to get up close and personal. Secondly these are the seocnd largest calibre cruiser guns in the game, meaning citadel-ling Yamatos at close range is piss. Third, your getting the speed thing completely wrong, yes its excellent at kiting, but what it makes it really good at is chasing down ships, doding shells and launching those torps

    Hi all, first time typer on the forum, i have been playing WOWS since open beta. After successfully getting my 19 point captain on my Henri IV, i've been trying a few configurations to get the most out of the ship, mostly specking it out to improve range, turret rotation and AA. I've found that later in the game when i've managed to save half my health pool up i like to engage at close range using my speed and manouverability to dodge shells, and using the torpedoes to cut the majority of the health off or act as a deterrant. After playing a load of games in a row mostly hunting down destroyers and getting frustrated at the Henri's slow reload speed, i noticed something. Of all the tier 10 cruisers in the game the Henri shares the joint best secondaries with the des moine at 6x2 127mm guns. The Zao has its 100mm with a fire chance of 6%, the Hindenburg similarly has 105mm's with a fire chance of 5%, The Moskva has the least guns with only 4x2 130mm with a fire chance of 8% and the minotaur has none. However, the Des Moines fire chance on its secondaries is only 5%! The Henri has instead 6x2 127mm guns with a fire chance of 9%. So my question i pose to you all, is whether for the last 4 points on my Captain i could instead take manual secondaries as a viable option, rather than distributing the points to improve, AA and fire chance. Just as some more information my modules are Main armaments Mod. Aiming system mod. gun fire control system 2 mod. Engine boost mod. steering gear mod. and concealment mod. And my Skills at this moment are expert loader, expert marksmen, Adrenaline rush (to compensate for the slower reload), Basic fire training, superintendant, concealment expert and obviously manual secondaries. Would love to here some opinions on this load out and whether i'm wasting my time and could instead use an even better build?
