With a rule like this I would probably stop playing CVs. They're too frustrating to play because every counter to you is usually almost no skill involved, especially if everyone and their mother starts playing fighter layouts. I'll be much happier in a BB then since CVs can't touch me. Also, much longer queue times.

Depends on ranges and ships you're fighting. But this is pretty poor, then again, you just started. I sucked at the start too so meh. After a while I got a feel for aiming and did it completely subconsciously. Nowadays I'm aiming more consciously and know about where to aim more or less depending on enemy's heading and speed. I saw some aiming video on youtube, but it only really taught me one thing - you can use the other parts of the zoom in screen to aim your shots. If you have any specific questions I'm sure we could all help you out a bit. -

Most likely I almost killed the enemy CV and then got stuck on an island, a Sims came along and torped me. My ship didn't sink though, just stayed there beached. Yup, was that game, so I saw Djerin in game!: -
If you bring your planes to the map edge and then make them start turning around the planes will fly out of the map. That allows you to do a drop directly from the outside and it is similar to doing a normal manual drop.

I prefer this to only seeing CVs in divisions of CAs or DDs where the sole purpose of that CA or DD is to defend the CV. I would only agree with such a change if CVs are given the panic skill like CAs have. If you are 1vs2 CVs you'll just die and there's nothing you can do. At least with the map edge you can use some skill to try to prevent it.

[Suggestion] Torpedo acquisition based on class

From what I remember it should be more or less 16.5km. With the acquisition module it should add up to 20km. -
I don't care about the "toxicity" of chat (they're only words), but I do feel bad when I am fighting against some new players driving a cleveland or pepsicola while I'm in my Montana and just kill them with one volley from 15km.

I like the post 0.3.1 damage model in terms of how AP works - angling plays a large role, which means skill is important. Making the enemy show you their broadside and similar is very important. I don't like the large amount of damage HE does though.

Does WG favor some people with T10 carriers?

They deal that kind of damage BECAUSE they survive. If two classes deal 1000 damage per minute and one survives for 20 minutes and another for 10 minutes then "average" damage on class 1 will be 20k, and 10k for class 2. But the whole thing isn't nearly as simple as balancing around that - organized gameplay absolutely wrecks CVs, it doesn't do a whole lot to BBs. -
I do, but the problem with that is that I like to tap it for a moment do my clicks. However, if you don't hold the shift key for long enough it switches the camera view. Again, slowing down.

Why would you expect a BB to have the same damage and survival rate as a CV? Do you expect a DD to have the same damage and survival rate as a BB? What about a CA? And then since everyone has the same survival rate as the BB and the BB has the same survival rate as the CV then nobody in these matches actually dies. EDIT: I bet if everyone actually hid on the map edges that's exactly what would happen. No damage would be done either. -
I don't know if this is the right place to report this bug, but I was playing a game in my Fusou and noticed that I would always fall short when shooting an enemy. Then I noticed that all enemy and allied ships were standing still. Yet the game was still going on. Apparently all ships stopped updating their model positions but the battle was still going on - secondaries still fired and I would still see projectiles spawn. Also, sorry if this has been reported before but I didn't see it. The problem with micromanagement in this game is that, for some reason, the game doesn't let you do things too quickly. If I go through my take off orders too quickly the order gets messed up, for some reason all of them don't get registered. Same goes for changing attack orders quickly and similar.

I would hope so, considering my most played ship is the Lexington, not to mention that I only used premium for about half the battles. However, I think the most interesting thing is that I'm still learning new ways how to play better. Montana is the last ship I unlocked and my average damage even with mostly losses is >100k. That's because I've learned how to aim better, how to play battleships better etc. Also, I really think that you aren't that far off from me - you aren't that far from the Zao and if you bring your other ship classes to about the same number of battles you should also be on tier 10 or pretty close to it. Those torps were really good, I didn't expect them at all and had just slowed down. The ice berg I was trying to hide next to is a bit problematic - if you are at a bad angle it will stop your planes from landing and that gets really annoying. It annoyed me enough to press throttle to full, but I left it on for a bit too long and I completely stopped being aware of the fact that we didn't actually hold the top line on D. It'll just accumulate. I didn't really use free exp earlier either. It is for use on ships like the Colorado. In that amount of time I could probably MAKE that game myself. -
I would love to know if there's a point in making more of these. I am currently thinking of making some videos of the bigger battles. Maybe even add commentary in my broken English. Also a second game:

Well yes, more damage, more speed, more hp, but bombs drop on a much larger area so you don't hit nearly as much.

I am afraid of the exact same thing - I think they will make CVs even weaker. The problem with CVs is organized players - they are too hard to kill and disorganized people are a bit too easy to kill if they don't react. Somebody should make like a must watch guide on how to deal with planes.

Yes, I have a lot of time. This is essentially the only game I currently play and I do it pretty much all day. -
Well, I've given up on actually being exactly on point with torpedo bombers. On big targets like Yamato, Izumo, Iowa and Montana you can sometimes land all 3 and if you're super lucky even all 4 but it is so rare. I mostly just try to land 2, but even then sometimes I can't even get that.

Nakajima J5N for Hakuryu and Yokosuka D4Y3 for Taihou. The dive bomber circle is larger than almost all battleships with manual drop. With automatic drop it is larger than any ship in the game. During panic mode the dive bomber drop circle is LARGER than the area where dive bombers start their drop in.
