It doesn't matter if you break someone's lines. When you're attacking you're moving towards an enemy who has an easier time shooting you and torpedoing you. They can stand still in smoke or behind islands while raining fire at you. They can angle exactly how they wish against the majority of your ships and you can't. Just because it works in your experience doesn't say really all that much about it. Try to view it from the standpoint of two equal forces and tell me whether you have an advantage while moving away from a target or moving towards it. Pro tip: torpedoing someone while they're moving away from you is "slightly" harder than torpedoing them when they're moving towards you. -

If you're playing standard battle and you're attacking you are doing it wrong and are probably a good reason why your team will lose. There are limited number of cases where attacking in standard battle is a good idea. One of them is if you have an idiot on your team who thinks that pushing is a good idea, does so and then dies and now your team is at a points disadvantage. Remember, the defending side has an advantage (mostly only if there are torpedoes still left to be used, but also because island cover can be used better, stealth firing can be done better, smoke can be used better etc). There are no flanking or pincer maneuvers that will work all that well in World of Warships so none of that stuff matters. -

Yeah, so that I can never actually find a match, which, again, is the reason why T10 CVs are not really playable other than this 6 hour window during prime time. Don't play during that? Well [edited]you then. Shouldn't have got a T10 CV, should've gone for the other lines instead.
