Yeah, because CVs will totally be able to avoid something they can't see. The thing is we already have a hybrid line that is superior in torpedo armament, stealth, maneuverability, smoke duration and arguably in gunnery. Aside from the AA I see little reason to play a Grozovoi over, say, a Fletcher. Then again I wonder why the RU DD line needs a hybrid line in the first place, so maybe I'm just biased.

Or you could attempt to better the playerbase, something which WG hasn't done... ever if I remember correctly. But yeah, let's stop here. I dunno, she's sluggish and her short range along with being incapable of stealth firing certainly won't do her any good when actually using her guns, making her heavily smoke dependent. She probably won't win any straight up knife fights with them either. That makes her advantages in gunnery rather moot imo.

I believe we have already discussed in depth that it is impossible to make every class have the same impact on a match. I mean, let's say we nerf CVs down to the "same level" as other classes (which is already a contradiction in itself as no class in the game has the same potential). Will you go after DDs next because they have a higher potential impact on the match? After nerfing those, will you go after BBs? Then eventually cruisers? Then inevitably repeat the cycle because what you're trying to achieve is fundamentally impossible? Also, you want to nerf spotting, damage and survivability of the class, correct? Those are the only traits that make a CV useful, so how will you compensate them? By making them tanky enough to go into caps? By giving them control over their secondaries, turning them into pseudo-cruisers? After all, you've just destroyed the core gameplay mechanics of CVs, if you don't compensate them in some massive way you may as well remove them from the game. Looking at pure numbers, you're right. However it's not just pure numbers. There are other defenses against CVs, namely stealth, speed, consumables and maneuverability, in all of which Grozovoi exceeds Zao. Remember, CVs can currently ONLY carry games because the average player skill is so ludicrously low. You'd have to be blind to deny that. Throw in some basic teamwork and CVs aren't nearly as powerful as many believe they are.

Fun fact: 95mm of deck armor makes it immune to every single AP shell found in the game as well (since it can't be overmatched and plunging fire doesn't exist). You wanna kill a CV with an armored flight deck? Aim for the belt and pray to RNGesus. -
Jesus Christ... They should've just given it Missouri levels of income along with the slightly higher torp range (or slightly faster gun reload or even keep the new torps, just ANYTHING BUT radar). That alone would've been enough to make this thing worth the grind.

I think you forgot glorious sekrit dokument ship with reinforced stalinium that can even bounce giant weeaboo shells. You should however also consider that US CAs don't get torps. That alone imo justifies them getting better gunnery and armor than the rest of them even when viewed from a balancing perspective.

Isn't that kinda a lie? According to navweaps.com a US 8"/55 gun firing the SHS shell outperforms both their Japanese and German counterparts in penetration capability at all ranges. Or is this simply referring to the higher time of flight and shell arcs?

That's really not comparable. We knew nothing about KM DDs except that they had sonar. We know plenty about US DDs and what their strengths and weaknesses are, therefore we can fairly accurately assess how putting Radar on one will affect them.

AS CVs can't scout. As soon as they do you'll get an opening to get a strike through. Alternatively the scouting fighter can get picked off, giving you air superiority. -

If your team is well coordinated a CV is pretty much powerless. This doesn't mean I'm opposed to closing the skill gap between potatoes and skilled players. Still, having the worse CV player on your team is far from a guaranteed loss as most people think it is. -
Considering there has only been one major patch (or was it two?) without some nerf to CVs, pretty high.

You know what's actually more weird? There are 4 salvos in the picture which all seem to stem from Alabama, but she only has 3 turrets. *inb4 Alabama gets super fast reload consumable* -
Pretty sure the HP boost did work during my testing and observations. I remember a Yamato being unable to shoot down a single (T9) DB even with his 2 fighters assisting and I usually have to strafe squads twice from behind with the skill active (although that's probably more because the planes are so friggin' slow they're out of the damage area too soon rather than because of the HP boost). Maybe the concealment didn't work? That's kinda hard to test. Alternatively I found that the "Decreases the air speed of strike aircraft" could also be read independently from the rest of the description and the recent changes would reflect that, meaning that strike planes will be permanently slowed down regardless of what they do. That'd make the skill so hilariously worthless it's not even funny anymore.

Carrier earning less credits than other ships?

Ahahahaha, no. While the same earning formula applies to CVs as it does to all other ship classes, it's because of this CVs get shafted. CVs simply cannot do things that other classes can (tanking, capping, etc.) to boost their income, meaning that no matter how good of a game you'll have, no matter how much damage you do or how many planes you shoot down, you'll always barely scrape by (if at all) on high tiers. And that's just assuming the match itself doesn't completely shaft you by: - the enemy CV dying early (= no more income through shot down planes) - not enough enemy DDs/enemy DDs die early (= your primary income source evaporates) - too many ships with good AA (= any strike you fly will be economically unfeasible due to high plane losses) - the enemy team being actually competent for once and sticking together (which I'd have no problems with if the economy wasn't so... well, you get it, right?) - your own team actually being competent for once and blowing all enemies to hell (same here) Case and point:
