Exploited easily by the fact that you can simply physically disconnect your machine from the internet.

One of these things: - you hit a turret/AA gun/torp mount -> no damage - you damage saturated a section -> no further damage beyond what you initially got Moral of the story? Shoot AP instead and aim for the waterline for juicy penetration damage. Heck, for some DDs you don't even need to do that. Here's an example of what damage saturation can do in extreme cases:

Stealth fire gone - Time to reduce gearing Shells arc's?

Probably because we're not running full AA spec as with the scarcity of high tier CVs it's a waste of points. -
Kinda depends on what you mean by overextending I think, which I would classify as "You're in danger of dying fast or taking a ton of damage". In a BB if you're overextended you can usually just hit reverse and vanish behind cover (if you have taken an appropriate position beforehand ofc) or, in the case of USN BBs, vanish into concealment. Then you can simply heal up a good majority of the damage you've taken. If you're caught overextending in a cruiser you usually die within ~30 seconds. Same with DDs. Even if you survive you will not be able to recover for the rest of the game unless you're one of the lucky few that get repair. It may be more easy to overextend in a BB (something I tbh do not believe), but even if it's also more easy to get out of it in addition to getting second chances. That's definitely not the case with other classes. Pretty sure its starting reputation ruined whatever chances it had. I may not have played it but even I knew that general consensus was that it's bad. A f2p game usually doesn't recover from such an initial blow, regardless of what is done afterwards, eliminating it from competition.

Stealth fire gone - Time to reduce gearing Shells arc's?
El2aZeR replied to Crusherheads's topic in General Discussion
Wat. Why? If you want to increase your AA potential you're better off with Manual AA. Why would you want a range increase on something that's spotted by planes from only 3.5km anyway? There was a change from CBT to OBT. Look up old CBT videos of the Cleveland. Shells have both a more flat trajectory and are faster (or alternatively had reduced air drag). -
I did say "serious competitor". (And I heard it suffers from plenty of bugs and optimization problems. Not exactly something I'm looking for when choosing what to play)

That simply means that classes perform differently in the same situations. A position in which you overextend in a BB may not be overextending at all in a cruiser or DD. To compare you'd have to give both ships situations in which they're out of position, at which point BBs are a lot more forgiving. What ways are there to quickly dispose of BBs? Torps? Can be avoided by basic use of WASD. A hit may result in diminishing damage due to TDS and Repair negates even more of it. Fires? Proper management of DamCon and Repair lets you survive a long, long time. Shells? Unless they're Yama shells just bow on and laugh. Aircraft? You're automatically an undesirable target for a CV when playing a BB as any CV worth his salt will go after DDs instead. Also damage from aircraft can be entirely avoided by not sailing alone. And I've mentioned CVs numerous times. Honestly I think most of them are going to stay since there simply isn't a serious competitor. If you want an arcade shooter focused on WW1-2 naval warfare, you play WoWs. There is no alternative.

Oh, it does? Please, enlighten me and the rest of the skilled players that have disagreed with you on how cruisers should be played. Or how cruisers are more forgiving to play than BBs.

You do realize everything you've described about BB gameplay literally screams l2p? But sure, I'm the one who sucks at playing cruisers, the one class in which you can do everything right but still get punished heavily and any mistake will net you a very quick return to port. Surely a more forgiving class than one that still takes minutes to take down when overextended. And I already told you that there is a balance issue underlying in BB overpopulation. Players don't only flock to and stay with a class because they're popular in culture.

Yes, BBs are far more forgiving to play. If you honestly believe that cruisers are more forgiving than BBs then perhaps you just suck at playing them, disqualifying yourself from this discussion. Perhaps before brushing up on your knowledge on the basic mechanics of this game you should learn some basic reading skills. That way you'd realize that dasCKD never wanted to have all of these proposed nerfs stacked on top of each other.

Seriously, have you played this game?! Dispersion, that is the ONE thing that RNG influences when calculating damage. Everything else is exactly that, a calculation. You do realize dasCKD argued for increasing BB accuracy, right? For the average player that may make a skilled cruiser harder to hit, but a skilled BB player will simply spread out his shots a little. Cruisers are too unforgiving to play right now, while BBs are too easy in addition of lacking a way to be quickly dispose of. That is not opinion, that is fact. There's a balancing issue hiding beneath BB overpopulation. The class isn't popular only because of their, well, popularity. I believe the last number WG put out was over 55% player population? There was some hard data in a recent thread that I'm unable to find again.

I said that cruisers are underrepresented, which creates a plethora of balancing problems. You honestly want to deny that?

Aww, there you go editing your response when you realize how stupid it is. Ofc, not that the follow up is any better. You're literally comparing something that is guaranteed to work every match to a system based completely on RNG. Now, if you'd give me a consumable which would guarantee me a fire for every shot while it's on that'd be a reasonable comparison. And yes, I'd spend the extra 22.5k on the premium version on it. Really, have you played this game? You're honestly making me curious, because it honestly sounds like you haven't.

Should be a lot more than just a single fire since you get a lot more utility out of RP2 than just one extra charge. In which case:

Wrong on both accounts. 1. RP2 is actually pretty amazing for that little cost, which again is ingame currency that is easily earned 2. Ammo costs money. Seriously, have you even played this game?

Landing with the Evasive Maneuver skill taking too much time.
El2aZeR replied to Sargento_YO's topic in Aircraft Carriers
Oh. I have to admit, that's actually really clever. Don't think so tbh, as all game mechanics are technically speaking working as intended. -
A result of BB overpopulation. Take care of BB overpopulation and DD overpopulation resolves itself. If you want to keep BB overpopulation then you'll have to deal with DD overpopulation as well. Also with this you have basically made your opinion carry no weight. Heck, every single sentence in your post screams "I'm a scrub". So l2p. If DDs are so easy to play and overpowered then why do you suck in them?

WR is incredibly unimportant when it comes to CVs, as there are only 2 lines in the game. That said, cruisers most definitely don't deserve nerfs.

USS Kidd, tier 8 Fletcher class destroyer coming soon.

Now I'm asking myself why anyone would want to play this if it has nothing special going for it. -
Thank You WG, that we have no way of self-defense against this sort of players!
El2aZeR replied to ThePurpleSmurf's topic in General Discussion
What I meant to say is that average player skill plays a huge factor in how successful a CV can be. I can pull such numbers because currently average player skill is abysmal among ALL classes, not just among CVs, allowing me to exert tremendous influence in the matches I play in. Right now the average player is tremendously bad, to the point where even hilariously basic things such as correct application of WASD is a rare sight to see. CVs are by design made to punish bad play. With their counters becoming increasingly rare in the BB heavy meta, the camping meta itself playing into their hands and with them themselves being rather sparse (thus increasing the number of players who do not know how to deal with them) in addition to neutering low tier CVs, increasing the skill disparity between skilled and novice CV players and creating the illusion that CVs are somewhat harmless for everyone else, is it really that surprising to see a skilled CV player capable of influencing a battle this much? CVs have problems, I'd be delusional to deny that, but to blame their current potential ability of influencing a match so much only on them is equally stupid, if not more. -

El2aZeR replied to ThePurpleSmurf's topic in General Discussion
How so? Let's assume you're literally the only good CV player in the game and all others are scrubs. That still means having a good opposing team basically negates any impact you can have on a game aside from spotting unless your own team is good enough to create openings for you to exploit. Likewise having a bad team means that all spotting you're doing is basically moot and no matter how many ships you pick off you're still gonna lose unless the enemy team is even worse. Thus the potential influence a CV can have on a match is in direct correlation with average player skill on both your own and the enemy team across all classes, thus becoming a problem with average player skill itself and not just CVs.
