Clearly the most survivable class that can already sit 2-4 minutes in the most devastating crossfire before it goes down needs more survivability buffs. Here's the harsh truth: Regardless of what buffs you give BBs, they will always camp. WG has already given them hypersurvivability, murder secondaries, extreme concealment, braindead offensive weaponry and cruiser consumables. What has changed since then? Abso-ing-lutely nothing. If anything BBs are camping even harder since then. Thus the only way out of this without nerfing BBs is to rework the reward system so that camping and damage farming become economically unsustainable at all but the lowest tiers. Rewards should go to team based actions such as capping, defending, spotting and tanking instead. But ofc WG will never do that since it would wipe out ~90% of their playerbase.

Quite frankly if you're losing even 3vs1 against a single Ranger fighter in a Hiryu, YOU are the problem. Ranger is by far the worst T7 CV out there and perhaps even the worst CV in the game.

If just pointing out the hypocrisy in your statements is taking it personally, sure. My own opinion, though? I haven't once stated my own opinion on anything. I've stated nothing but facts which you apparently chose to ignore. For example, fact is that the majority of the playerbase in any class is trash, not just CVs. Fact is also that trash players in any class will cause crushing defeats, which happens way more often than auto-losing due to having a trash CV player on your team. Such handicaps are much more difficult to overcome than a trash CV player to boot. Yet despite these issues, which should be considered much more urgent from your point of view, for some reason you only tell CV players to stop playing their class. I am rather curious as to why, especially since you apparently care so much about the feelings of others.

There are a handful of players who know how to play the game in general. Yet I don't see you telling people to stop playing DDs because you auto lost a game due to your DDs being trash. Or stop playing BBs because you auto lost a game due to almost every BB camping at the map border. Both happen way more often than getting stomped by skilled CVs and in fact are much harder to compensate for than a trash CV player. And the reason why they have by far the greatest impact is because everyone else is trash. But I don't see you telling every trash player to stop playing either. Wow, yeah, surely a problem with CVs and not with the spawns. It's not like those particular spawns are stupid as in non-CV matches as well. Nah mate, it's perfectly fine that you're out of the action for the first 5-10 minutes, after which the match is potentially already decided. If you care so much about the feeling of others you'd stop playing the game and not just CVs. Just because you don't feel offended about something doesn't mean others wouldn't as well. E.g. you getting deleted due to your own mistake may be hilarious to you but it ruins the fun of your team. Again, if you care so much, stop playing. Not just CVs, but the game.

Something that hasn't come up yet btw is how the new Midway upgrade affects the performance of her DBs, especially with AP bombs. Think about it, Midway DBs will now effectively be T12, giving them a huge chunk of survivability while trading off a negligible amount of speed. So unless you invest a lot into AA in any T10 cruiser, especially the ones with comparatively weaker AA, you will quite likely not be safe from AP bomb strikes even with DFAA. RNG will decide whether you take only scratches or get deleted more so than is already the case. I can tell a lot of thought went into these upgrades.

You're either playing stock Hiryu, with stock fighters or have the wrong skills/upgrades. There is literally no way a single Ranger squad can kill 2 Hiryu ones unless you're dumb enough to get both strafed. If you can reach a sufficiently high skill level Hiryu is the strongest CV by far at T7. Even a Saipan can do little against her.

To be fair speed upgrade alone has always been useless. The new one at least kinda competes with the strike aircraft HP upgrade, although personally I still wouldn't take it. Haku has air control capabilities for days anyway since she got buffed, no need to overdo it.

If you're so intent of stopping people to ruin someone's fun in a PvP game, how about you just don't play it then? - shooting at somebody? Ruins his fun - spotting someone? Ruins his fun - just sailing around as an exp pinata? Ruins the fun of your team So yeah, the only way to avoid hurting someone in this or in any PvP game is to stop playing it. Go follow your own advice. Stop ruining people's fun.

Except that, again, one of the goals of the much vaunted CV rework is to lessen the skill gap between good and bad CV players. You're not working towards that goal by including a mechanic that works contrary to what you want to achieve. The difference between 10% and 30-40% is already far too high. A CV player that shoots down only 10% of a strike can basically be ignored, while downing 30-50% has huge ramifications. If the difference however isn't as big (say, 20% vs 30%), the mechanic itself becomes pointless UNLESS there is no automated component to it, which on the other hand would increase the need of multitasking dramatically. That'd ironically make CVs harder to play than they are now, again contrary to what the rework is supposed to achieve. By just including direct fighter combat you're designing yourself into a corner with no way out.

Nah, not worth it. Haku is far superior.
