Quite frankly I fail to see the relevance this has for the topic at hand. Also playing with others in a team game is now cheating? That's hilarious.
-
Well, regardless whether you are right or wrong there is one big problem: WG has confirmed Missouri will never be available again unless they nerf her.
-
I mentally prepare myself for the inevitable raging hatred I'll have for my teammates.

Except that what I have stated regarding balance is not an opinion but a game design principle that is universally true for every competitive game, be it a virtual past time or real life sport. There is not a single successful team game out there that aims to eliminate the human factor, as that goes against what games are supposed to be about in the first place: Interaction. Also I just realized you were talking about Heroes of the Storm and not Heart of the Swarm. Is that game even still alive?

Don't think so. In my eyes it's just natural that T8 CVs get a lot of matches where they're one of the few bottom tier ships as T8 CVs are played more than T9/10s and due to the way MM works.

Radar - And no NOT another whine Topic

Consider the average intelligence level of people in this game, then try asking yourself that question again. Although it should be noted that DDs ignoring free caps happens just as often as someone complaining about DDs who don't suicide into caps. -
Did the same test with my Enterprise (as T8 CVs are notorious for getting thrown into T10 matches) over a few dozen matches. I was never bottom tier more than three times in a row. I however suspect that the rule gets waived like class soft caps if you queue for too long.

Funny, because last time I checked they don't. Team MM is only provided by third party hosts, otherwise it is perfectly normal for a premade team to be matched against random individuals. And why should you be able to? This is a team game. The players that work together have a better chance at victory than some guys playing in a selfish manner. That's not unfair. What would actually be unfair is if you could beat said players all on your own (without them making huge mistakes). As a CV you can always play defensively and lock the enemy CV out of the game no matter how good his AA support is. Neither of you then has much influence on the match beyond spotting, putting your fates into the hands of the others. And if your team crumbles because of two guys, you deserve to lose. Again, that isn't unfair. It is the exact opposite of unfair. This is precisely what balance is about. Balance is to provide contestants (being the two teams in this case) with equal chances outside of the human factor, because the human factor is what is supposed to decide matches.

What is the stupidest thing you did today?

Showed broadside to half the enemy team in my Monty. Still survived with 20k HP, healed back to half and got 3 kills because lol BBs. -

Meh, not in my book. Just differing opinions I suppose.
-
Nah, you automatically aim for the rocks if the target isn't locked in. To shoot behind islands without spotting you either need a spotter plane or a gap you can exploit.
-
Pretty sure I've gotten 1 XP before via detonation. Don't think I took a screenshot of it tho. T_T

Which is what I said to begin with. Kronshtadt DFAA is worthless in self defense. It's only really useful to panic planes that are attacking teammates. Which means you misplay and get punished. What exactly is wrong about that? Single squads can be killed easily without DFAA on any ship with halfway decent AA. As for Kronshtadt, the devs seem to like making ships with stupidly weak AA or hilariously strong AA without anything being in the middle ground. Don't ask me why.
-
You are one of those who use DFAA as soon as planes enter your AA range, aren't you? Also cooldown on DFAA is faster than plane turnaround time unless you're practically right next to the enemy CV.
-
At least they can defend themselves. Kronshtadt struggles even against my Enterprise.
-
Pretty sure those aren't mandatory, aka you gave up said information out of your own free will.
-
Interesting how no one has mentioned yet that Kronshtadt takes hilarious damage from AP bombs even with DFAA.

Manual drop was never introduced. It has always existed. Strafe was introduced so that fighters aren't completely worthless. In fact, such a mechanic was ASKED for by the community. By removing these mechanics you're taking any skill, any decision making, any real interaction out of the class. It's the same level as whining about torpedoes because you can't WASD. Manual drops work. Strafing too works. Auto drop doesn't as it is completely worthless. If those shells could be denied by the most basic teamplay or by just pressing a button, sure. CVs have been going downhill because they've been nerfed in almost every patch for over a year instead of addressing their issues, creating a class that can only be played to its full potential by the best of the best. Average CV players, even those "unicums" that only got there because they know what the alt key does, are thoroughly incapable of doing so as a lot of mechanics need to be stumbled upon or discovered through experience.

Because the idea of auto drop itself is incredibly stupid and one of the main reasons such a massive skill gap exists to begin with. The best thing you can do with it is to remove it. Improving it in any way just once again caters to the lowest possible denominator. CVs can be improved by ironically changing a lot of things that have nothing to do with their basic gameplay concept. What should not be done is tinker around with mechanics that have been proven to work.

I know of exactly one game that actually does this (and it doesn't even have team games as its focus). And that is because people are expected to work together in a team game regardless of whether they enter the match as a squad or alone. Besides, with current player numbers this is infeasible for WoWs anyway.
-
So basically "murder CV gameplay" as auto drops are ludicrously worthless.

Eh, kinda. Lots of cruisers not running DFAA, hence why AP bombs are meme. Not something you need to be particularly concerned about if you know how to handle it. You're bound to run into unicum AA divs in T10 more often tho in my experience.

A lot of pain and suffering. Both Lexington and Essex are sub par compared to their contemporaries. It is honestly physically painful to play them when you know what everything else is capable of. In terms of raw potential Midway is inferior to Haku in pretty much every way. Air control, striking power, scouting ability, flexibility, all favor Haku. However Midway is also a lot easier to play, thus kinda striking a balance between her and Haku. You need to be an expert at CV play to unlock Haku's full potential, requiring a lot of map awareness and micromanagement comparatively speaking that most people simply are incapable of mustering. Midway on the other hand forces you to play a far more relaxing style with fewer squads and longer service times. That and AP bombs are hilarious.

No.
