CV rework will make you manually control planes in third person. RTS gameplay will be thrown out entirely.

Draft design for the new Russian T10 superdreadnought battleship (not)

Only tiny 180mm secondaries?! Only 18 casemates per sides?! Your design is insult to glorious Soviet Navy!!! -
Favorite shipgirl (Kancolle,Azur lane, Arpeggio of blue steel,Haifuri)

If anyone wants to try Azur Lane but didn't want to bother with a different language, your time has come: Doesn't seem region locked either. -
Nope, DDs weren't nearly that wide. Also DDs were pretty much unarmored and AP shells move FAST. Like really really fast. Even if the fuse arms they'll likely be out on the other side before they explode. If you want an example, during the Battle off Samar (which I recommend reading about) hits inflicted on the pretty much unarmored USN vessels by IJN capital ships, including Yamato, were all overpenetrations until they switched to HE shells.

That'd be a good start. Try sacrificing a goat to our lord and savior RNGesus before clicking that battle button, too. Alternatively, try playing in divs. The game is more fun when playing with others anyway.

How Long Does It Take To Reach The Carolina?

A hole less than half a meter in diameter is hardly impressive for a ship that is about a dozen meters in height from the bottom to the main deck and over a hundred meters long. You'd need about 30 hits to cut a DD in half with a BB.
-
Ah yes, lets make even more BBs -proof. Surely the solution to all the problems this game has.

Except unreliable guns ARE fun - for potatoes who consistently misaim but get damaging hits anyway due to huge dispersion. -
Dev diaries 0.7.8 hints and clues - speculation mode ON
El2aZeR replied to Zen71_sniper's topic in General Discussion
Isn't that an inevitability anyway? Personally I don't care whether we're getting a third-person shooter or an action RTS as long as it's well done and balanced. Unfortunately I have no confidence whatsoever in WG being able to pull that off.- 67 replies

And prevent WG from making ez $$$ by introducing another braindead class into the game? I highly doubt that. :P- 67 replies

Ah, yes, keep listing community written wiki pages that tell you nothing about ship performance.

If you believe I'm lying, here https://wows-numbers.com/ Go check it out yourself.

It's funny how you keep using that word yet when faced with it you can do nothing but retaliate with insults.

"We are looking into solutions for BB overpopulation." - WG, 2016 -
Yes, your inability. Your sheer utter mind-boggling incompetence is what is preventing you from excelling in the Hindenburg.
-
Which is what's the mind-boggling thing about you. How the do you not learn ANYTHING after 2,5k games in the Hindenburg? Seriously, how?! Here's the truth for you: You are not fit to judge anything. You're just plain bad at the game. Don't blame the ship for your inability.
-
Almost 6k games and he doesn't understand that 240mm guns offer next to no advantages over 203mm ones. Also UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you look at his stats. My coworkers had to drag me back from the window I wanted to jump out of. @Boris_MNE, where are you in our time of need?
-
See, this is why I stopped playing ranked early. Though I have to admit, that's even more sad than I imagined it to be and my expectations were already abysmal.
-
This amuses me to no end. When I used to play ranked (first, second, fourth and fifth seasons) it actually resembled the competitive scene a lot. At a certain point everyone and their mother was full AA spec, so as a CV you were relegated to sacrificing planes for spotting information and fighting to deny it. Striking took a far backseat. It's how I learned to play CVs in a competitive setting. Nowadays apparently CVs just go around and nuke stuff (according to what I've heard at least, not played ranked in a while) which is a mind bloggling reversal of the meta to me. It's not that I don't understand how it came to be, but it's hilarious nonetheless.
-
My previous point exactly. You'd need to up it to least 9vs9. But from a functionality perspective CVs would work in a 9vs9+ competitive setting if WG had tried to shoehorn them into it. Honestly, it's a good thing they didn't. WoWs has a fundamental problem with comparatively low player numbers, but it hits the competitive CV scene particularly hard due to obvious reasons. Just imagine the stupid bull you could pull as one of the few top CV players. If for example a clan loses their CV player and tries to recruit a new one, you could easily remove them from the competition entirely via all CV players refusing recruitment offers. If the members of said clan want to continue to play competitive, they'll have to disband and find a new one. You could literally destroy clans by just depriving them of a CV player. Ironically CVs are the most balanced in competitive. Should hardly be a surprise to anyone considering what the counters to CVs are. I'd assume that most players in your clan don't have experience with how CVs work in competitive and try to apply their random knowledge to it instead. Don't think you guys will have a choice in the future tho considering WG is planning to introduce reworked CVs into CBs. Quite honestly I have no idea how that's supposed to work out. Wouldn't CV play that is purely focused on striking instead of spotting break the competitive scene? That's a whole other can of worms we have to yet open.
