    Ise the BBV in Blitz

Honestly I see no way for a true hybrid ship to be viable without retaining RTS mechanics. From what I've seen WoWs Blitz has RTS CVs + manual control of their secondary armament, thus introducing a hybrid like Ise is hardly the most challenging task.

Leaked CV Rework CO-OP Game Video

Because we all know how immensely adaptable the average player is. Really, all I'm expecting is a plethora of whine threads about removing CVs once and for all because you can't dodge and bow camp at the same time. You know, as was already the case.

Leaked CV Rework CO-OP Game Video

They do now, too you know? Bow camping potatoes are among my fav targets. I highly doubt the rework is gonna change player behavior considering CVs nowadays can't even do it.
  4. Even when they do that they will usually refuse to play with the one who they know will ruin their game. Again, fun is subjective. Ruining the experience of your team is not. Ironically caring only about stats means you're gonna accommodate your team regardless of whether you like it or not, as you will want to win. That'd make you a far better player and teammate than the who yolo rushed the enemy "because it is fun".

And less AA cover too. Though I guess AA is worthless anyway.
  6. Because if you play soccer or any other team sport with real people they will not totally kick you off if you behave like the most selfish ever. It's just too bad that in most online games your teammates have no choice but to play with you, so you have a responsibility to play for the benefit of your team, not for the benefit of yourself. Most "crazy and insane" tactics quite frankly do not benefit the team, thus if you do play for your own personal amusement while disregarding the team is being a selfish . It should be a banable offense and, guess what, in most games it is. Even in WoWs, it's just too bad WG doesn't seem too intent on enforcing their own rules. If you want to be a selfish , go play coop or a single player game. Having fun is subjective, ruining the game experience of your fellow teammates on the other hand is objective. You are not entitled to the former if you happen to do the latter.

I'm just saying that the spotting situation will not only remain the same, it will get a lot worse if WG goes through with it. There is no viable way to oppose reworked CVs aside from smoking up, which makes you vulnerable to a plethora of other things that will pretty much instantly kill you.

Leaked CV Rework CO-OP Game Video

As far as I can tell alpha strike of torps has actually pretty much remained the same (and the guy playing is hardly the most gifted of players considering approach angles and target selection alone), only now you'll have to deal with the danger of permanent flooding due to multiple strikes per wave and planes cycle much, MUCH faster. That is however obviously still subject to balancing. I'm just afraid that WG will nerf DoT to accommodate reworked CVs to the detriment of all other classes relying on DoTs. I'm honestly concerned how ludicrously ineffective AA is. I also still don't see why you should use bombs over rockets. Rockets are obviously much better fire starters with higher relative accuracy and less skill required.

*cough* multiple CVs per match *cough* Remember, the goal is to lift all MM limitations for CVs.
  10. Do they speak Chinese or Japanese in the EN version? Btw, here's the drop table I use that might be useful to all you newcomers: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1IkUG7Qot3GedHzK_VMdiPuI39uERybGybuqsJeKzDeo/edit#gid=0 Should be no different in the EN version. I thoroughly recommend farming 3-4 for the foxes once you can just auto battle through it. Just note that unless RNGesus smiles upon you it's gonna take a long time to get them to say the least.
  11. Here's what the situation actually looks like: BBs - counter DDs with lol AP shells, WASD and cruiser consumables - counter CVs with lol AA powercreep, troll AA build or *gasp* teamplay - counter cruisers with lol AP shells and RNG - counter broadsiding potatoes DDs - counter themselves - some counter CVs with lol DFAA - some can counter CVs with troll AA build - some counter cruisers and to a lesser extend BBs with DW torps or straight up dakka - counter straight lining potatoes CAs/CLs - counter themselves - counter DDs with consumables and WASD - counter CVs with DFAA, troll AA build or teamplay (inb4 "OMG TEAMPLAY DOESN'T EXIST") - kinda counter BBs if you can call 5 minutes of HE spam a counter - counter potato DCP/heal usage CVs - counter themselves - counter lone BBs that don't have AA - counter ships that have been thoroughly HE spammed or hit by RN thermonuclear HE shells - counter cruisers without DFAA that are not T9/10 RN cruisers - counter some BBs with meme bombs - counter most cruisers with meme bombs - counter DDs without DFAA - counter some ships that don't have troll AA build Basically: Source: https://venturebeat.com/2018/09/18/why-wargaming-is-disrupting-world-of-warships-with-submarines-and-revamped-aircraft-carriers/ So every ship should be able to fight every ship, but you're gonna need help against counters because you can't fight them. Makes perfect sense comrade! xaxaxaxaxaxa

    Toxic ping abooose

If you want something done about him, tag actual WG employees like this @MrConway @Tuccy @Crysantos. Or just raise a support ticket. Could just be that his ban expired, you know? You won't get instantly perma banned for this after all (or at least I highly doubt it).
  13. A DM, a Hinden, a Haru and 2 Worchesters walk into a bar... ...the bar turns into HE shells.
  14. Indeed, she's worth holding on to just for that. You're gonna need this tho:
  15. Sorry to say that San Diego is actually fairly common and not all that good (so much so that it's a meme in the community). None of the Atlanta class really are. She's workable if you equip her right and puts out monstrous AA, but generally speaking there are better ships to sortie. Or in other words: From here: https://pastebin.com/ZMBi8g6R
  16. I'm pretty sure CVs in general would counter SSs pretty hard as they're slow, not particularly maneuverable and have practically no AA. Just wait until they have to come up for air, then torp/bomb/rocket the out of them. This would make SSs rely on the fleet to defend them from air strikes, which in my mind just makes them far worse DDs.

The Carrier Main's Death Struggle is in full swing

Just played my first CV game in my Worchester. *edited* hilarious. Disable AA, wait until planes are well within range, pop DFAA and the entire strike just melts within 5 seconds. No counterplay possible. Didn't matter at all that our own CV was a potato AS Taiho. And I only run AA range + AFT as usual.

    Seatle downgrade...

Christ this thing. This thing is horrible. I'd much rather take a Cleve out into T9 MM rather than playing Seattle ever again. I made it all the way up to 160k exp until I could stand it no longer and free exp'd the rest. I will recommend anyone else to do the same. Seattle is nothing but a shafted Cleve in almost all aspects. Worchester on the other hand is the most fun I've had in a while.

The Carrier Main's Death Struggle is in full swing

Well, according to this https://venturebeat.com/2018/09/18/why-wargaming-is-disrupting-world-of-warships-with-submarines-and-revamped-aircraft-carriers/ sometime 2019 to be exact. That's still at least 3 1/2 months away at least. Heck, I'd be surprised if they release it in January or even February. Imo BFT is useful in denying spotting via floatplanes as well. A niche use to be sure, but some use nonetheless especially considering you live and die by your concealment. Besides, what else are you gonna spec into? IFHE like some special people according to Conway? Seriously tho, imo Vigilance is the only other skill even worth considering. Or Survivability Expert if you're feeling particularly meme.
  20. As a fun PvE gamemode, sure, why not. Don't particularly see how subs can be implemented in randoms tho unless they plan to expand the match up to 15vs15+, especially since they also plan on releasing all MM limitations on CVs as well.

The Carrier Main's Death Struggle is in full swing

The general consensus among skilled CV players is that the aircraft speed upgrade is inferior. I actually don't know whether it has been thoroughly tested or not, but I tried both and in my personal experience plane HP is better. You want to mitigate losses when attacking something with low AA as even those can burn through your reserves very fast if you fly multiple strikes per game. Or think about it this way: A Taiho TB moves at 156kn. +5% plane speed makes them move at ~164kn, 8kn faster. That's not gonna significantly increase your strikes per match (as it is the same base speed of Haku TBs and I don't fly more strikes in Haku than I do in Taiho).

The Carrier Main's Death Struggle is in full swing

Attack plane HP. It gives strike craft the equivalent of an entire tier worth of HP, effectively making your TBs and DBs tier 10. Plane speed bonus isn't close to high enough to compensate.

    Carrier APM

I've heard it. You've heard it. According to some people you apparently need twenty fingers to play CVs successfully, but those who can reach 300 apm will outplay their opposition guaranteed regardless of game mechanics. Heck, even WG says they want to eliminate the advantage people got from their "StarCraft skills". I'm here to tell you (again) that this is complete and utter horse. To this end I've downloaded a simple apm recorder and played a few games with it running. First of all, what is apm and why is high apm usually beneficial in action RTS games? Now to the results. Please note that I usually manual drop even with DBs. Game 1 (Enterprise) Game 2 (Enterprise) Game 3 (Hakuryu) Even with the most micro intensive CV out there I only reach 70 apm (although to be fair it was against an enemy AA div so I didn't have much to do most of the time). Peaks are around 100-120, that's at most 2 actions per second. You can reach that by just double-clicking. This is more than enough to make you dominate against the average player. But against a more skilled player you surely need more apm, right? WRONG. The amount of effective APM you can put out is limited by the mechanics of the game. If you go over that limit all you're doing is spamming that has no impact on anything. For example if you want to move a unit to a certain location, you can do that with one click or you can spam that click multiple times. Both have the same outcome, but the latter will have higher apm. In fact against skilled CV players you will likely utilize less apm as you are less inclined to take fights without a significant advantage. You can use 300 apm in StarCraft because the game allows you to utilize that 300 apm effectively. Trying the same in CV play however is wasted effort as there are too few mechanics that you can manually control and you're gonna need to start spamming commands to reach it (which btw can bite you in the very quickly as it will frequently cause your planes to circle endlessly trying to reach a position to execute). That and the UI will only recognize about 1 out of 5 commands at such speeds as it is absolutely abysmal. Now in comparison here's a measurement of me playing Azur Lane. So yeah, you don't need 1337 300 apm StarCraft skills to excel at CV play. What you need, aside from the very basics such as minimap awareness, is knowledge and experience. Knowledge about target selection, AA/concealment ranges and that certain mechanics (alt attacks, counterstrafing etc.) exist along with experience to for example estimate minimum drop distance of torps, recognizing the optimal angle of approach or the distance required for command locks etc. It is not high apm that makes skilled CV players what they are. It is that we bothered to learn what WG never taught us. This is like sitting someone who has never touched a piano in their lives in front of one and requiring him to eventually play Beethovens Moonlight Sonata perfectly with no instruction whatsoever. Sure, a few will take up the challenge and begin teaching themselves how to play, but I reckon the vast majority will tell you to off instead. That such a ludicrous skill discrepancy exists between good and bad CV players has thus absolutely nothing to do with apm.
  24. Wait, so any ship should be able to fight any other ship, but you're also gonna need teammates who protect you from classes that counter you. Isn't that contradictory? Also that last part. "They’ll find a way to work together and protect each other from submarines." Do they even play their own game? They can't even protect each other from CVs, the most telegraphed and obvious attack ever.

Full AA is unnecessary for most AA ships. Just AFT + AA range and DFAA is more than enough. Unless ofc you're playing a Mino. Then pick BFT as well.
