    Oh no, it's not just you, trust me. But this state of the game has existed for approx. a year already. Pretty much every game I play is a stomp one way or another. Close games are extremely rare and if they do occur they usually do in the most ridiculous way possible (aka people being and attempting to throw). I honestly can't remember the last time I had a enjoyable "good" match where both teams had a decent standard of play and fought until the last minute to win.

    Technically speaking we kinda already have this with IJN TB torps. Spread is fairly high initially but it converges, thus rewarding long drops and prediction skill. Problem is that this is usually not really needed. Getting 6 hits out of 8 or 9 out of 12 is good enough against most targets. Personally I wouldn't mind at all if you'd increase initial spread but make it converge a bit more to make TB usage a bit more skill based while giving surface ships more leeway to dodge. Then again this would make TB usage more skill based, something that WG seems very intent on eliminating.

    According to the new gameplay video accuracy depends on movement. The longer you fly in a straight path, the more accurate your drop is. This should give you plenty of options to dodge in more maneuverable ships.

You either put in a system that has far too loose tolerances so it creates situations we already have or you get ludicrously long queue times. The former is a waste of time and manpower, the latter will lose you money. And if you create it as a separate gamemode that reduces the potential population even further (as most people won't bother with it), exacerbating the problems stated above. Skill based MM in WoWs is an impossiblity because it doesn't have the playerbase to support it.

    I don't think they can considering the collab contract has long ended (which is also why they can't distribute the ARP ships anymore). On the other hand, it wouldn't be impossible for them to just ask for a new one. I-401 is in fact old news tho as @eliastion has pointed out. I guess it's either an easter egg or it was an old testbed for subs that never made it into the public clients with only this snip of code remaining.
  12. Meh, not really? Collection purposes I guess but other than that... I mean, I just realized I have two more fleet slots unlocked. No idea what I'll do with those. You can swap fleets when morale drops below green but in my experience that only happens when you grind ridiculously hard. This is why I went with CVs instead. (4 CVs / 2 DDs + CL / 2 CA / CLT / 2 DDs) You get more combat nodes but in my experience you're still far less likely to get taiha'd than trying your luck against sub princess. On the other hand it's quite a bit more expensive than STF (435 fuel, 475 ammo + bauxite), but I'll gladly spend those resources for that. Apparently there's a debuff you can apply if you A+ rank the boss with both a CTF and a STF. Pretty sure you don't have to bother with that on casual tho. On a different note: Inb4 return of bastion mode, weeb edition. Seriously tho
  13. They're all fine picks. Just note that Edin's skill buffs AP damage only, so you should have a gun that actually fires AP shells equipped on her. Still, I'd probably replace her with a USN CL or DD to make full use of PoW. Helena, Brooklyn or Laffey spring to mind (if you have one of them ofc). Move Edin to fleet 2 instead to replace York or Kent. RN CAs in general aren't all that good for the most part. I think Suffolk and Exeter, both with refits, are the only decent ones (though refit Exeter is future content). Also replace Repulse if possible. She's, well, sub-par to say the least. If you've done enough PvP already go for SoDak, otherwise Arizona (heal) or one of the Fuso sisters (firepower) will do the job just fine. By the way, you can only deploy two fleets max, so place your ships accordingly. Personally I only use fleet 3 and 4 for ASW maps, something you probably won't have to deal with for quite some time. Still no Ark Royal for me. For s sake Tanaka, just give me my tea bote already. T_T

  17. Nah, Pringles is actually pretty decent. You do get her as log-in reward too, but then again you can just use that to LB her so no harm done. Her offensive stats are mediocre at best but she's one of, if not the most tanky frontline ship, outstripping even most backline capital ships with her HP pool. Look decent enough. One thing to note tho: Prince of Wales gets a buff with every USN (known as "Eagle Union" in the game) ship that is in her fleet for whatever reason. I would thus swap her to your second fleet as that consists of mostly USN ships.
  18. As one can clearly see by your performance in the game. You are mind blowingly bad across the board. Pretty much every time you leave port you become a liability on your team. You deal practically no damage in some of the greatest damage farmers and neither are you capable of performing in some of the most influential ships in this game. Thus everything you say people should do becomes a great example of what not to do in this game, because playing like you is a straight path to failure. Sure, you might have fun in your egoistic plays you disguise as "taking high calculated risks", but you're ruining the experience for the 11 other players on your team. Not that you'd ever admit it ofc. You're so blind you cannot even see how much of a burden you are every time you click the battle button, as evidenced by your thinking that you're actually good in your Alabama. Or blaming your failure to make the newly buffed Moskva work against bottom tier ships on those bottom tier ships being op.

    Now that I've seen the video multiple times, lets analyze it and compare it to current CV play, shall we? I realize that aside from basic gameplay things are still subject to change, but the direction the rework is going doesn't particularly fill me with confidence. And I say that as a surface ship player. The CV part of me is still laughing in glee. EDIT: Forgot to mention one thing. It's possible that you need LoS on planes now to target them with AA. At 17:10 you can see a Shima emerging from smoke and clearly firing at planes, but there is a cruiser in that smoke as well and his guns stay silent until the smoke fades. This is quite honestly a change I would've liked even in the current iteration, but then again that's hardly something new.
  20. Assuming WG doesn't raise the player cap for randoms I have no idea how they're planning on fitting subs into PvP especially with reworked CVs coming up too. We can assume that the BB player population will not change as it did not in the past regardless of what line was released or mechanic introduced, thus we can potentially get a match composition of: 5 BBs 2 CVs 2 SSs leaving us with only 3 slots for cruisers and DDs. The easiest solutions would ofc be - hard capping BB numbers (unlikely considering WG has allowed them to run rampant for well over 2 years) - just raising the player cap while retaining current softcaps - limiting SSs to a new gamemode with more players per team that has a soft-/hardcap on all classes Retaining current MM rules however would be impossible imo.
