    You can manual drop with the alt key, allowing you to drop torps much more accurately and much closer to your target. Note that this feature is disabled in T4 and T5 CVs.
  2. "Baiting" in itself implies a horrible misplay, I hope you realize that. Worcester obliterates entire strikes within seconds so all you need to do is wait for aircraft to cross the ~4km line. This won't give them any chance to turn around nor will it allow them to strike you effectively. No one denies that AP bombs are broken. Well, no one sane anyway.
  3. Gold twin BL 15" Mk II has the fastest reload out of all "good" (aka high damage) guns. If your idea is to proc the heal as much as possible, this is the gun to go for. Otherwise purple triple 16"/45 Mark 6 is generally acknowledged as the best BB gun. (Pretty sure you don't have these yet tho, so just use what you have on hand. ) Here's an equipment tier list. Note that this is very endgame and includes stuff that EN doesn't have yet. SoDak unless you have serious survivability problems.

    CVs have extremely limited striking ability and, ironically, a more limited health pool than any other class in the form of aircraft reserves, having to risk it every time they attack. That's like risking to lose a chunk of your HP every time you fire your guns, NOT taking enemy return fire. Also the mere presence of certain ships can remove you from a part of the map completely. You have your favored targets, you have undesirable targets and you have your hard counters. Would you take on 5 BBs in a cruiser? But one BB is often fine, no? It's little different with every other class, except you don't fight a CV by fighting the hull, you're fighting to reduce match impact and reserves to zero. Just because most people feel like they can't do anything against CVs doesn't mean it is true. A single strike denied is already a huge deal, as it is one of only ~6 strikes a CV can fly per match. Fighting CVs is ludicrously easy. Determining the next most likely target, knowing when the next strike will hit, what path they will fly and which position to take to deny it is all hilariously easy if you have a bit of experience with CV play. Wanna know what originally drove me to play CVs? I wanted to know how to counter these "darn op things" as I used to be a surface ship player only much like everyone else. That in the end allowed me to identify and exploit all the weaknesses CVs have. E.g. it's why i have no issues with CVs when playing DDs despite that class arguably being affected the most. Can't even remember the last time a CV was more than just an annoyance regardless of skill level.

By the way, on diamond usage I recommend prioritizing in that order: Dorm slots (although the second floor is not needed imo, afaik only first floor gives passive EXP gain, 2nd floor only regens morale) > dock space > equipment slots Only dorm slots are absolutely mandatory, ship and equipment slots should both be bought only if needed. Save those diamonds otherwise, you never know if you'll run out of cubes during an event. (If you're out to buy rings, you may wanna wait for a sale that gives you 2 rings at a discount. Dunno when one is going to hit EN tho.) I'm interested in pricing for the EN version and whether it's the same for the CN version btw. 98 RMB (~12€) will buy you 980 diamonds. Also don't remember whether ingame tutorials cover this, so just in case anyone doesn't know, this gives you access to what I call the trophy room where you can grab goodies if you collect and LB certain ships. Can be diamonds, equipment, furniture for the dorm or even ships. E.g. collecting and LB'ing Brooklyn, Phoenix and Helena gives you Wichita.
  6. Has decent stats and a monstrous debuff (that however is usually only useful against bosses because only bosses tend to last longer than a few seconds). If you're not spending medals on something else, you may as well get her. Personally I run her in my main fleet along with Cleve and Montpelier (the latter is upcoming content).

    Do others a favor, go check the armor scheme of that thing ingame. Compare it to Gearing and Khaba. You can do that even if you don't own these ships. Also good torps? You mean the worst torps in the game by virtue of being IJN ones? Friendly reminder that module damage = no damage. That applies to every ship, not just Haru.

    You do realize you can still tell your CV where to go via autopilot while flying the plane, right? That hasn't changed in the slightest. So technically speaking you are in fact pilot and captain at the same time. One can almost tell how informed your opinion is.

    So, while I'm striking and farming you for damage in whatever ship you choose, I'm not scouting you and whoever is in your proximity at the same time? And I'm not doing it for several minutes with less than a minute of reload? In the latest gameplay video, that DD wasn't constantly scouted by the squad that was working him over? Your perception of reality is... interesting, really. Oh? What level are we talking about? Cap DDs, radar cruisers, gun DDs, regular cruisers, good concealment BBs, bad concealment BBs, torp DDs, etc.? That sentence is a contradiction in itself. It's nice of you to demonstrate that you have no clue about game design. Also if the goal is to not change CV gameplay but to nerf their match impact, why exactly is the change in gameplay needed in the first place then? They could've just nerfed CVs while retaining the RTS scheme after all. Your argumentation is so full of holes it's an insult to even call it that.

    Nah, at 8:30 video time (11:14 game time) he activates the consumable with TBs. You can actually see the squad just circling around at 8:52 video time.

  19. That actually depends. Remember, this is a f2p game, meaning most of the people that play it will never pay anything, along with a fair amount of people at best paying once. It survives on players buying doubloons/premium time/ships etc. on a consistent basis and the players that do that are few in number (usually between 1 and 5%). So even if forum users represent only ~5% of the active playerbase, that still could be a huge chunk, even the entirety of their regular income (extremely unlikely, but possible). I honestly couldn't care less about some raffle on NA that EU doesn't get, just attempting to clarify things.

    While multiple CVs cannot be in divisions, it isn't impossible to meet another CV from the same clan or even have him be on the same team (assuming they are playing T4-7 CVs), you know?

    That honestly depends on the collector's market along with the potatoes that screamed "OMG MUST BUY", really. Just because the active CV population is low doesn't mean there aren't many who own a premium one. Still gameplay concerns apply. And no, it doesn't just affect CVs. You'd have to rebalance the entire game because AA in itself is actually a massive balancing factor. And on that same note it is why strategy games never implement WMDs. Oh wait. The realism card doesn't fly. Game design can bend a lot of things if you do it correctly. Whether CVs are needed or not for "extra favor" is ofc debatable but they can in fact work. Even the current iteration can be made to work, though the list of changes needed, while nothing too complicated, is massive.

    Three squads is better than two squads that are constantly scouting? With less cycling time, less counterplay and while actively making strikes? I'm not blaming WG aside from their past failures (which they frankly should be blamed for). I just have no confidence in them to deliver something stellar when they've failed so often in the past. Agreed, but I don't believe that to be feasible either on both gameplay and financial/legal grounds. On the other hand we may not have to deal with it since a broken rework may very well kill the game outright.

    The leaked gameplay video calls them but you never actually see them aside from icons on the minimap. When summoned they spawn very close and just circle the area they spawn in. Midway fighters seem to consist of a flight of three, active time is a bit more than 2 minutes. What is interesting tho is that every SQUAD seems to have 2 of these fighters and everything, including the cd, is reset every time you launch a new one. Also fighters SEEM to be able to spot (hard to tell with the video, really). That has some interesting implications. Could I just blanket my team in fighters by constantly recalling squads? Can I just leave fighters somewhere to spot? If I have fighters on call with every squad, doesn't that make air defense kinda useless because when there are enemy fighters in the area, I can just summon mine to prevent them from disturbing my strike? I'm sure this will all still get changed, though. I hope. Another interesting thing to note is that no one is using catapult planes apparently? I haven't played coop in forever, but don't bots love to launch them as soon as possible?
  25. The best CV stats in the game along with an incredibly broken skill (on airstrike double damage and invulnerability for 8 seconds). The one downside to her is that her skill "only" has a 70% proc rate max, making it rely on RNGesus. A few things: - equip long range secondaries on your backline. RoF doesn't matter much as they'll never be able to shoot anything aside from suicide boats anyway - use torps - stick close so your frontline attacks them - RAM (do be careful tho, the damage they deal is pretty high when you're still low level) If all else fails, an air strike with spread TBs + DBs can clear them out pretty easily, but it's a bit of a waste to use it for that.
