None of these were particularly successful as commercial products. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Nothing has been announced yet afaik. Cubes aren't worth spending on event construction anymore once you have all the event ships anyway. -

Yeah, she's the top CV to use if you want survivability along with max air cover. If you have no survivability problems and aren't farming lategame maps tho her utility drops off dramatically. Not to the point of uselessness, but there are better CVs to use. Survivability-wise Unicorn will keep your frontline in the fight longer, while in terms of damage Ark Royal will kick the teeth of anything in easily. Neither provides the air cover so sought for in lategame maps tho, which is where Lusty truly shines. If you're looking for a more generalist HMS CV tho, Centaur is the only one. Sadly Victorious is godawful despite her decent stats thanks to her huge reload. Well, if you're willing to walk the middle ground you can always join the Hellcat master race. 4x .50 cals, 2x 20 mils and 2x 500lbers to boot. I believe they're the most farmable top tier fighter as well with gold blueprints dropping at 5-2. Seriously tho, any top tier fighter does good work. Don't worry about it too much. -
Captain there....but where are the others?

Do you feel that you get citidaled easier when turning?
El2aZeR replied to howardxu_23's topic in General Discussion
It's not even just a feeling. This is a proven method to citadel ships. It's very simple actually. When turning towards an enemy the side of your ship that's facing him will rise out of the water. For waterline citadels this will expose your citadel far above the waterline along with the weaker lower belt sections. Submerged citadels rise so much that you can hit them with waterline hits. For turtlebacks this will provide shells that hit the waterline the opportunity to bypass your belt armor and hit the citadel directly, making this one of the only methods to reliably citadel KM BBs. This is demonstrated here e.g. -

Meh, if you have the medals to spare go for it. If you don't, you can just wait until you get her from construction. Illustrious isn't that high on the priority list, really. Fighters have a certain arcs of fire depending on their weaponry. 20mm cannons do more damage but have a more narrow firing arc, while .50 cals have a more wide arc but deal less damage. Regardless it's entirely possible for your fighters to miss an attack entirely because they flew the wrong path. AA guns are a lot more reliable in that regard. Maxed out top tier fighters do actually significantly damage strikes tho if they fly straight into them. Makes them far easier to pick off with your AA guns afterwards. -

Early Fall Event is over, Saury Festival has started. Godit Tanaka... 1st quest has nothing special: "Got three Saury. Choose one of following options as the reward: six devmats, two searchlights, three combat rations. Then choose one of following options as the reward: a Type 3 active sonar, a skilled lookout, three screws." 2nd quest will force you to choose between some good stuff. Tempted to go for night ops but I don't have any night fighters/bombers (yet): "Got ten Saury. Choose one of following options as the reward: two T95 depth charges, two Daihatsu landing crafts, an action report. Then choose one of following options as the reward: two WG42, two reinforcement expansions, a night operation aviation personnel" 3rd quest can give you a Mark 37 GFCS: "Got thirty Saury. Choose one of following options as the reward: a GFCS Mk.37, Type 16 fleet fishery banner, Type 17 fleet fishery banner. This quest also rewards Type 18 fleet fishery banner." -
Which you can evade just by slowing down after the TBs have locked. If you're on top of your WASD it's near impossible for an auto drop to hit you.
-
If you get hit by an auto drop, especially in a DD, then you deserve to die. Because you have to be especially bad at the game to get hit by such a pathetic attack.

Probably not. Lets face it, low tier CVs with manual drop were tier for tier THE most overpowered thing in this game. Cruisers and DDs would both easily get oneshot while BBs would sustain near fatal damage. There were pretty much no counterplay options either as low tier AA was and still is garbage. Trust me, I've had ample experience clubbing seals in my Bogue. The easy way to address this would've been to tune down low tier CV alpha strike and plane survivability (imagine if a New York had NC guns and accuracy. That's pretty much low tier CVs in a nutshell), but WG went full "LOL WE AREN'T LISTENING TO YOU BECAUSE WE KNOW BETTER" and removed alt attacks instead. So unless they do a full 180 on us and actually implement what was asked for, for which there is little hope because "we aren't doing anything to CVs until the rework", alt attacks won't happen. Not that it'd be particularly needed I think. Just roll with Bogue + GC and you're set. Keep the flood of Kamis spotted for days and you win air superiority by default while your GC div mate can mop up.

Because with heavily nerfed HE performance it stands to reason that BB AP is still the most prevalent killer of BBs, if not more so. On the other hand HE could've gotten a boost thanks to the removal of large citadels, but that would just mean BBs take less damage in general as HE performance is far worse than it was back then. Point is data from 2016 can still be used as a baseline to speculate on how damage dealt to BBs has changed (if it has at all) when you consider what ships have been added, how mechanics were nerfed/buffed and how the meta developed. For example we can be pretty sure that aircraft torps and bombs will account for less as CVs were more popular back then than they are now. This ofc doesn't mean that what we arrive at will be 100% conclusive, but it's the best we have.
-
Indeed. And while tons of new content has been added, cruisers were also consistently more prevalent than BBs. Also HE did more damage thanks to always penetrating (HE shatters did not exist) and fire chance was WAY higher. AND concealment based meta wasn't a thing due to people still figuring out the game along with BB maneuverability being way worse. (At least I believe all these nerfs and buffs came later, sometime mid to late 2016.) So despite all these things, BB AP was still the most prevalent killer of BBs by far.

From here: https://forum.worldofwarships.ru/topic/41244-давайте-обсудим-статистику-дамага/?page=2&tab=comments#comment-1728517 Glorious Google translate: PMK = secondaries OF = HE BB = AP (oh, the irony ) Also explicit content? Seriously? Should children not look at charts without parental supervision or sth?

Same with ships holding a spot behind cover. Or spotting outside of detection range. As already explained. In fact, quite a few ships have AA approaching, equal or exceeding their air detection range with brutal values to boot. So in reality CVs have it worse here. - explain in detail that ships too can hold spots out of harms way and influence the battle tremendously - no counterargument presented outside of "LOL YOU CANT REFUTE THAT YOU MUST BE RUNNING OUT OF ARGUMENTS!!!111111" Oh, the irony.
-
And that is not the same as some BBaby that camps at the map border as already explained. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

https://www.armourgeddon.co.uk/ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Also did you know WG actually helped work on GuP der FIlm? From: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Trivia/GirlsUndPanzerDerFilm That makes we wonder, we've already seen Saint Louis in the anime trailer. Maybe that means WG has a hand in that, too? They're certainly weeb enough. -
A match is only 20 mins long at max. 30k HP is not even a 3rd of GK HP, of which again 15k can be healed. This should honestly tell you how laughably ineffective HE spam is even when dispensed from one of the best HE spammers in the game rather than pointing towards that HE spam is too big of a threat. For the life of me I can't find the damage chart for BBs that WG released anymore, but it did tell that BBs died to AP shells by an overwhelming margin with everything else such as fire, flooding, torps, HE, aircraft and so on being negligible at best. Aka BBs died mostly to themselves. The only statistics that was fudged was aircraft since very few actually play CVs, and of that even fewer are actually competent. Though granted, the game has added quite a bit of new content since then. It's not like we didn't have superb firestarters like Zao back then too, though.

Let me fill that in for you: - 60% chance the player will never intentionally provide air cover and scouting. Arbitrarily chooses targets regardless of AA concentration or may even go for a snipe. Strike success is entirely dependent on target dodging. Incompetent to the extreme. - ~24% chance the player may provide air cover and scouting from time to time, usually only when asked for. May strike priority targets, may use his planes elsewhere. Strikes success is somewhat dependent on target dodging. May know some of the basics, but not all of them. - 15% chance the player will provide adequate air cover and scouting. Tends to strike exposed priority targets. Strikes have good efficiency. Is someone competent who knows all the basics. - <1% chance the player will provide oppressive air cover and scouting. Will strike exposed priority targets. Strikes have top efficiency. Is an expert at CV play.
-
I recommend replacing speedboost with DFAA. Not only does it allow you to foil CV strikes temporarily to retreat to your allies or potentially save one, you can also remove annoying catapult planes rather quickly with it.

Except winning doesn't actually mean much when the economy is almost 100% focused on damage farming and with that many economy boosting flags and camos out there. Whether you win is thus only relevant for those that actually care. And not many do.

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
El2aZeR replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Just five. In my bottom tier CV. Because as we all know people have to rush one by one into spawn camping enemies despite a 2-1 cap advantage. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -
Just saw an Izumo of all things survive for 5 minutes under constant focus fire from half the enemy team with only 1 DD per side (which I killed). Yeah, "BBs have to fear a lot". What a joke.

MM is +/- 2. Your data doesn't prove anything. It would only be conclusive if T10 matches were played with only T10 ships.
