33%. Already off to a great start I guess. And the opinion of every other halfway skilled DD player here it seems. But if you want an example, recently I met an Asashio in my Gearing. His pathetic concealment advantage meant nothing because I roughly knew where he was thanks to some basic situational awareness, giving him no time to react when he spotted me before I could spot him. He popped his smoke then tried to run away, which doesn't matter because Asashio is slower than me (already hilarious considering Gearing speed is pathetic). Smoke however allowed him to turn away safely and try to do exactly what you say makes an Asashio great. He tried to wiggle and dodge my shells. Guess what happened? He died in less than 30 seconds. He didn't manage to dodge a single salvo. Asashio doesn't possess the speed nor the maneuverability to wiggle in any meaningful way even against the floaty US 5"/38s. If someone can't hit an Asashio they won't hit any other DD either, aka they suck at aiming in general.

I won't need to say anything because it is never going to happen. A claim that has been disproven. Really, is nitpicking all you can do?

For me Windows alt tabbing itself has been happening for months now in every game I play. I tried to fix it several ways but nothing worked for me, so I just have to live with it I suppose. I suspect it's an issue with Windows 10 itself. As a workaround you can set your game to borderless fullscreen so that you do not need to deal with the delay of going between your desktop and the game.

3 sentences. You can't even do something as simple as counting. And if this is the only thing you can pick on I guess we can establish that you've been trounced hard.

Pikko tried to convince me that Asashio is among the most maneuverable and small DDs at T8. After much back and forth and nitpicking on his part we manage to establish that overall Asashio might be among the more maneuverable DDs overall but is in fact among the most sluggish torp/hybrid DDs with a thoroughly average size. He even admitted that himself. I guess the only one who doesn't grasp anything here is you. Goliath was afflicted by an illness called acromelagy, causing poor vision and unnatural height. David on the other hand was armed with a sling, a deadly ranged weapon capable of tremendous accuracy and stopping power, being equivalent to a modern .45 caliber handgun at close range. Thus it comes to no surprise that David, who essentially brought a gun to a sword fight, won hands down. I'm not the one behaving like a crying kid ingame as soon as you're called out on your shoddy play.

Oh, no. You can damage farm your fellow potatoes in a ship made to damage farm. How am I not surprised? Meanwhile your stats also clearly show that your worthless damage farming doesn't win games. Aka you are an immense liability to your team every time you sail out with your Asashio. Except he hasn't even refuted the basic points of my arguments and kept nitpicking instead. He even outright admitted that hybrid DDs are pretty much superior to Asashio in almost every way. And I bet you could not crawl your way above 50% WR? One of these days you will realize that damage is absolutely worthless as a statistic when it isn't accompanied by a good WR.
-
How am I not surprised? That ship seems to attract every potato out there. Shima is also one of your worst performing ships. That's saying something considering your general performance.
-
Likewise is Shimakaze, yet she is by far the worst performing T10 DD. Popularity has nothing to do with performance which is precisely what is being discussed here. That Asashio is popular (if she even is) is irrelevant.
-
And just 2 weeks ago you tried to spin your "stellar" WR in your Asashio B as representative of your skill when you played only 15 battles in it. But if you want a complete overview of your performance (despite also stating previously that only your recent results are relevant): Your overall WR in both Asashio and Asashio B is ~47% in 254 battles played, a fairly sufficient sample size to judge personal performance. Verdict: You remain one of the worst players in this game no matter how you try to spin your tale and your performance in the Asashio reflects that.
-
Your last 58 battles with the Asashio B shows an even worse WR of 41%. Wanna know the only constant in those battles? Hint: It's between your chair and your keyboard.
-
48% WR is "rocketing for the stars" for you, huh? I guess for someone with 47% average total that must actually look like a huge improvement.

Izumo help, Is she actually good now or does she still suck?

So even more overpens on a ship already notorious for scoring nothing but overpens. Is genius buff comrade! -
It's good to know I'm right.

Which matters how exactly? A CV that is being prevented from both scouting and striking for the entire match may as well be afk which would result in the same amount of match impact. That's arguably worse than being sunk, at least then you can quit back to port without consequences. Ironically I've seen a lot more people playing CVs after the rework was announced than before, especially recently when it became known what sort of refund policy WG wiĺl pursue. I guess the lure of tons of free exp is hard to resist even if it means failing your way up to T10.

CVs can be completely locked out of the match completely unlike every other class. Try again. But hey, whining like yours is giving us the massive buff that is the rework. Ty for that.

No, it doesn't. In rework testing I was able to reliably attack and kill targets protected by SEVERAL Worcesters. Completely unthinkable in the current RTS iteration. And guess what, it has to be that way because CVs can do nothing other than farming damage anymore. If reworked CVs can't farm damage they're essentially useless. The primary purpose of current RTS CVs is to scout, that's why it is okay for no-fly-zones to exist. Also fighters are useless because they can be cheesed by simply summoning your own fighters, meaning the fighters will fight and kill each other then disappear regardless of who wins (since fighters can only shoot down one plane per fighter, meaning two equal strength fighter squads will cancel each other out). The CV rework is a pure damage race that devalues everything else in the game. I once faced a 1 vs 6 situation in my Midway with the enemy team taking every single cap because my team suicided. It didn't matter at all, I still walked away with an easy win. I was never even in danger of losing. Also it was very fun seeing a Shokaku and a Lexington focus me in my Yamato. First flood and 3 fires -> DCP. Both came back 20 seconds later to hit me with another flood and 3 fires. Fun times. If the rework goes live I will play nothing other than CVs until the game inevitably dies.

Looks like Akatsuki has trouble dealing with GLORIOUS REVOLUTION. -
Eh, personally I wouldn't gamble on that. Even when there are more than 2-3 DDs, if you get stuck with e.g. a Khaba and a Haru, both of which will practically never contest caps, you'll deal your team a pretty big blow before the match even starts. Or with 2 additional Asashios like one of the enemy teams I played against today. That was fun knowing we got a default win.
-
Honestly I'd love to know what WG's viewpoint is on this. Anyone care to comment @MrConway @Tuccy @Crysantos? Do you believe this was communicated clearly enough or is there room for improvement?
-
And what, pray tell, are the others? The only advantage an Asashio possesses is concealment and that is a moot thing to have considering you have no way of exploiting it as explained previously. So what? E.g. some people can make the Ranger work yet no one will deny that she's objectively garbage.
-
And when you say that you end up with a statistically irrelevant sample of 2 ships that have either decent, in case of the Asashio, or straight up bad torps, in case of the Kagero. Meanwhile other "hybrid" DDs have decent torps AND decent guns. Thus if you really want to continue with your irrelevant nitpicking, fine: Hybrid DDs are superior to Asashio in speed, maneuverability, size and gun power while retaining decent torpedoes. Thus there is no reason to play Asashio over hybrid DDs, which is what makes her plain bad.
-
Ah, yes, just because they are of the same class must mean they must be judged the same way. I guess that's why radar cruisers are the same as non-radar cruisers. Utterly laughable. I have done such tests already with people far better than you. It always ends the same way. The Asashio dead in short order and her opponent with most of their HP intact.
