Even two per side would be way too high as it worsens the spotting situation compared to current CVs and allows them to easily wipe out the entire enemy surface fleet in short order with a tiny bit of coordination (just hit whatever your teammate was attacking and you're pretty much guaranteed to get perma fires/floods). Or alternatively if you get two skilled CVs you can not only negate enemy point income (if they even get caps), you can actually push it back towards zero faster than they can accumulate them.

Radar can't spot planes. With the exception of IJN TBs (which have 7.5km base concealment) all planes are detected from 10km anyway. Using radar would therefore be either impossible or useless. All you'd be doing is ringing the dinnerbell as planes now can see whether they're detected or not too. The rework aims to make CVs more popular so more than 5% of all players play them. The easiest way to achieve that is to make it broken as .
-
In the rework you can judge quite accurately where a ship is based on the flak tracers.
-
In current CVs? Maybe. I have beaten him just as often as he has beaten me. That doesn't matter at all with reworked CVs tho. Almost no skills transfer over.

Low tier planes are actually more maneuverable than high tier ones. And yes, Fara is not good at reworked CV play. Then again he does a lot of experimenting so I am unsure whether he took it too seriously. The Hosho is weak. Langley can actually farm some pretty decent damage by stacking fires and killing DDs/cruisers. I had 100k average damage in her. And again, Fara isn't good. Just because he does well in current CVs does not mean he will do well with reworked ones.
-
Same here. Did you not pay attention? The whole 150k average damage in Ranger was in the first test. And I see your WASD hax was not very strong.
-
I have once seen 2 CVs fail to kill a single low HP Zao that wasn't even maneuvering. So yeah, they'll most likely fail even harder than they do with current CVs. Skill gap is fixed comrade! Xaxaxaxaxa

Look video of full AA Worcester as I just don't get hit by flak bursts which are being buffed, inevitably resulting in the same outcome. Test 1 had the weakest AA by far. My average in the Ranger was 150k during test 1 and I maintained that in subsequent tests. That is ~20k higher than my current Midway average damage.

A reworked CV may not oneshot DDs but it kills them at a much faster rate than current CVs ever will. Likewise with any other ship. In reworked CVs I can kill or cripple 5 ships in the time a current CV kills only two, meaning reworked CVs have over twice the effective "RoF". Global spotting is replaced with much more oppressive local spotting as planes cycle much faster and, if necessary, you can leave on call fighters in the area to continue to spot, meaning that the flank a CV concentrates on will always be spotted 24/7. That's a trade, not a nerf. And it only applies when there is only one CV per team. When there are more per team global spotting actually increases.

Dunno about Kidd but I can show you full AA Gearing.

I am inclined to agree with you as potatoes in reworked CVs are even more useless than potatoes in current CVs as you have already demonstrated. Still, that does not mean skilled players will suffer from the same issues.
-
You do realize bots move around much more than players in the current bow/island camping meta ever will? Aka bots actually present a much more challenging target than your average player. As for your inability to make reworked CVs perform, congrats! You have just proven that the skill gap is worse than with current CVs.

May as well throw a DM in for good measure.

Nah, we've just resigned ourselves to making fun of people who still believe the rework is a giant nerf or will change CV play for the better. Because that is all we have left to do. 3 years' worth of suggestions completely ignored, every change we opposed went through pretty much as it were with predictable consequences. Even shortly before it was known that the rework would throw CV play completely on its head WG stated that the state of current CVs is good enough to release new premiums. Fara said it best when he tried to help balance CVs and the GZ especially. If your vision doesn't line up with WG's, they will discard your suggestions outright. Clearly the opinions of skilled CV players, the people who know the ins and outs of the class and therefore its biggest issues, were, are and always will be in conflict with what WG envisions CVs to be. So we're more than content with watching it all burn down in flames and some of us, including me, will even help fan them higher. Gonna love me some 300k average damage.

The highest number of CVs I have seen so far was 4 per team. Pretty sure the last PTS iteration had a soft cap of 2 per side.
-
Nah. In fact even CV + AA divs have extremely negligible impact on my WR. According to my table I met such divs 14 times in my last 653 matches. In those times I lost exactly once and in a good chunk of them I was not even playing a CV. Truly skilled CV players are more rare than you think. 80% isn't 100% you know? I had some fun times maintaining a 100% WR on the PTS tho even when there were no bots. Full AA Worcesters/DMs/Minos and all other ships that can currently slaughter entire strikes presented no obstacle at all.
-
The highest solo WR I managed so far is 85% with the Enterprise. That's my skill ceiling and quite possibly the global one as well. I think I am around 75% with the Midway? Which would mean I still lose 1 in 4 matches to a potato CV.

On an individual basis? Never. Doesn't necessarily win me the match, tho.

[cv rework] planes can find DDs with RPF now ?
El2aZeR replied to __Helmut_Kohl__'s topic in General Discussion
Cross dropping still exists as you can reengage very fast. It just doesn't work against DDs and some cruisers anymore, but with the increase in power of DBs and the addition of rockets it frankly doesn't need to. -
Hilariously untrue with current CVs, yet a true statement with reworked ones. Have fun keeping up with your delusions, tho. You're in for a very rude awakening.

Have you noticed getting more AP over pens lately?
El2aZeR replied to Puffin_'s topic in General Discussion
Please inform yourself how shell fuzes work in this game then take a look at the armor schemes of the various ships. Maybe then you will realize that getting overpens on broadsiding targets is perfectly logical and has been this way since forever. Nothing has changed in this regard. -

El2aZeR replied to __Helmut_Kohl__'s topic in General Discussion
It still however means that reworked CVs kill bots at a far faster rate than current CVs. You can't be naive enough to think that this will be any different against actual players especially considering counterplay options are practically nonexistent. -

Skill gap and the resultant disparity between having a good CV and a bad one opposing him? Isn't that one of the major gripes with current CVs? How is making this even worse an improvement of the current situation? Have to say tho, bots are a lot dumber than they used to be. Just tried it myself and they barely touch their rudder even on the hardest setting when you attack them. -

El2aZeR replied to __Helmut_Kohl__'s topic in General Discussion
Average players won't cross drop, otherwise they'd be much more successful. But yeah, I guess with a cross drop you can kill bots. Unless, you know, they actually run DFAA. Also what is the point of your question? Are you implying that oneshotting 2 DDs is somehow worse than killing 4? Are you once again trying to nitpick your way out of this? -

El2aZeR replied to __Helmut_Kohl__'s topic in General Discussion
By cross dropping. Try it with single drops (and a DD that doesn't turn like a dead elephant as Shima). What question? You were implying that oneshotting 2 DDs is somehow worse than killing 4 and then some. If that doesn't make you question the intelligence of a person, what will?
