  5. According to an official KC dev tweet a BBV, a CV, a BB and a Yuugumo class DD will get K2s this spring. BBV is obviously Hyuuga as she's the only one that doesn't have a K2 yet. RIP blueprints.
  6. Exp is characterized by damage, not game influence. You can be the most useless on the team yet still farm your way to the top of the scoreboard. So yeah, exp actually means nothing.
  7. It's official. Event and New Year quests will be extended to the 22nd. I'm already done with both, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  8. Apparently KC is currently under DDoS attack and has been for days. Winter Event may get extended because of that. Weird really, haven't experienced any issues until today.

I found plane losses with the Lexington to be negligible with a combination of WASD, Tiny Tims (which apparently have a pretty big splash radius for killing AA) and the faster recovery times tbh. In comparison to Ranger and Midway she did lose aircraft a lot faster when forced to fly through flak bursts, though. Then again I didn't have Survivability Expert on her so there is that, too. I used Tiny TIms on the Lexington because the HVARs on her are awful. The aiming circle starts out way larger than on the Midway and narrows down to a larger pattern with fewer rockets to boot, meaning you can outright miss DDs even on a perfect angle. Tiny Tims are much more accurate usually guaranteeing a hit or two even when approaching from suboptimal angles and deal about the same damage as you'd get with a typical salvo of HVARs.

    And here lies the biggest flaw in your reasoning. According to WG only ~4% of the entire playerbase actually play CVs, meaning only the most dedicated players or the biggest failures actually play the class. Hardly a representative number, no? The ones that would excel in, say, BBs but not in CVs often never pick up the latter in the first place because they're either not interested or they know they will not do well in them.

    How exactly? Whether one can adapt and succeed with a class has very little to do with balancing. E.g. just because someone does well in DDs doesn't mean they will do well in cruisers, too. Likewise just because someone succeeds in CVs but is merely decent in any other class is completely irrelevant to your point. And please, there are plenty of people who are decent/good but either never touch CVs or utterly fail with them. However even if it were representative of anything, comparing total class stats of any individual with their CV stats is hilarious at best anyway. CVs have a clear power progression with no real pitfalls nor particular gameplay changes unlike every other class. The closest thing CVs have to a completely useless ship is the Ranger and even she can do just fine in the right hands. CVs don't have ships like Izumo/Monarch/etc. nor do we get sudden severe gameplay changes like the transition from e.g. Kuma to Furutaka. Thus if you want an accurate representation of how a player's CV stats stack up to their stats in other classes, you would literally have to disregard all the ships that said player cannot perform in as there isn't a single CV in the game that cannot perform. E.g. my BB stats are dragged down by the Colorado. To get an accurate comparison you would have to discard these among others. While I certainly won't deny that CVs are the most influential class in this game (and are in fact about to become even more so), what you're talking about has literally nothing to do with it. As for CVs being able to "ignore" all surface ships, guess what? Almost all of my losses in CVs had nothing to do with the enemy CV. In fact I can count the amount of battles in which I lost air superiority over the past year on one hand. Don't even need to use all fingers, too. Surface ships can counterplay (current) CVs. It's just that the grand majority of players choose not to do so. And of the minority that does it another big chunk does it wrong.

    Nah, that ship is nothing in terms of BB farming potential when compared to reworked CVs.
  14. If this isn't going to be the opening song of the AL anime I'm gonna be disappointed. Meanwhile in KC, Johnston and Samuel B. Roberts get long range when equipped with the SG Radar in addition to a bunch of extra stats (+3 FP, +3 Eva, +4 LoS). Sasuga American radar.

    While generally speaking yes, the CV rework is broken, these two aspects are hardly worth losing sleep over imo. Stealth torping is highly impractical and to get RPF you have to sacrifice quite a few of indispensable skills for negligible gain (you can see whether you squad is spotted or not, add the ludicrous speed along with a bit of common sense + minimap awareness to that and you'll be able to sniff out even the most stealthy ships without RPF).

  17. Wanna know what I consider a fairly successful match?
  18. 27 aircraft lost total in 19:40 minutes, so almost a full duration game. - 8 fighters (which is irrelevant, really) - 6 rocket planes - 2 DBs - 11 TBs (most of these were lost to the enemy CV's CAP) Had a full squad ready to go of each type ofc.

    Ships that are better skipped using FXP

    - Izumo (Even after the buff she felt awful to play) - Seattle (I'd rather take a Cleve into a T10 match) - Colorado (Still have nightmares from 2x pre-buff grind) - Monarch (Completely useless ship especially when compared to contemporaries) - Neptune (Got hit by the smoke nerf too hard imo. If you have an abundance of free exp I recommend skipping) - Podvoisky (Dunno if it's just me or the ship, but I had an awful time with her) - Ranger (Currently completely outclassed by her contemporaries, subject to change with the rework) - all T4/5 CVs (T6 is where real CV play begins if you want to bother learning RTS CVs when it's gonna be gone in ~2 weeks)
  20. I dunno, it is the most teamplay in randoms I have experienced ever since OBT ended. I found 2vs2 CV games quite fun tbh.

    Imo no. Quite frankly with only 18 seconds up time a CV can theoretically just boost away from your fighters until they inevitably run out. Also it doesn't affect spotters anymore.
