    While true (as I demonstrated here: https://forum.worldofwarships.eu/topic/102507-the-true-power-of-divisions/ ), you can just filter for solo stats to reduce the margin of error significantly.

    No more than it is on any other BB? Yet you have the largest health pool along with the best armor by far, so HE and fires are even less of an issue than on other BBs. Of which you can heal 10k. Laughable. Sure, if you keep showing broadside you will die - in like 3 minutes. More than that if your enemy has to angle and can only use front guns. That is full broadside. This is supposed to be punishing? Really? Which would be a problem I guess if they would appear in sufficient numbers. They don't. Then don't just rely on hydro and you'll be fine. Most of the time when playing KM BBs I forgot that I had it tbh yet getting crippled by torps was still a laughably rare occurrence as it is in general with BBs. I don't really see why KM BBs should have hydro in the first place tbh.

    Implying you can even die in 20 seconds in a GK. Why would you care about HE spam? Most of your armor will shatter HE shells. Why would you care about flankers? You cannot be citadeled unless you up and turn towards them. Why would you care about CVs? Beyond Midway and Enterprise none can reliably punish you. And why would you care about DDs? You have topkek hydro. Getting close is laughably easy. Don't make it sound like it requires any skill beyond some common sense.

  5. I dunno, is it okay to brand us all guilty by association because we know fighting against toxicity is a lost cause and simply don't give a beyond using the dev given channels to deal with it? Because guess what, depending on definition we could say that you are being toxic right now by doing so. So how about you go follow your own advice and close down this thread for toxicity?
  6. Customer Support already deals with toxicity if you report it. More you cannot expect out of any developer. As for the community, here's the harsh truth: Quite frankly being toxic only has personal benefits while being nice has no effect at all. There are extremely few games where it is the other way around and WoWs certainly isn't one of them. if you want to brand me guilty by association, fine. But I would also very much doubt that the LGBTQ+ community in this game is anywhere near significance. I'd be extremely surprised if they exceed the number of females playing this game and percentages of female population playing shooters in general is usually found in the low single digits. Doesn't mean they don't exist, but to call them significant is a stretch to say the least.

    Why is the Gneisenau now terrible at AA?

    Probably has more to do with CV population having drastically decreased, meaning there are less potatoes around who yearn to collect all the flak puffs. I love seeing Gneisenaus in my Enterprise. Hitting them for half their HP in a single DB attack never gets old.

    Which many players seem unable to accept for whatever reason. E.g. the amount of accuracy buff demands on reddit for KM BBs that I've seen boggles my mind quite frankly. And even worse, the majority of comments seem to agree.

    Which is fine. What is not fine is people saying that these ships aren't braindead enough yet and need to be made so. I wouldn't know tbh. I stopped playing GK immediately after 4 games because of how disgustingly easy it was. Aircraft fell out of the sky like nothing, torp DDs presented no threat at all thanks to topkek hydro, gun DDs and cruisers simply had their HE shells shatter all over and BBs couldn't punish me for more than 20k laughable damage even when full broadside, most of which I could heal anyway. And ofc thanks to my gigantic health pool fires were practically irrelevant. I don't even run FP on ANY BB for crying out loud. Meanwhile topkek dispersion which so many deem as oh so bad practically guaranteed hits no matter how much I misaimed or the enemy maneuvered while I could literally take my hands off of keyboard and mouse as secondaries tore lesser ships apart at mid-close range. This is a line that has no tangible weakness and far too many strengths. And now people want to tell me that this isn't enough.

    Implying DoT is actually punishing for BBs. And I don't see what the big deal about concealment is on KM BBs. Been playing without it since day 1 with them just fine. Concealment means nothing when you're practically invulnerable to all types of damage anyway. There is absolutely no skill involved. Closing the distance to 8-10km is trivial on pretty much any map but Ocean even without CE. It'd be a different story if CVs could instantly punish such a braindead playstyle but thank god the rework largely prevents that nowadays, eh? KM BBs are the most braindead nation of the most braindead class. I see no reason as to why they should be made even more braindead to play.

    Low tier CVs have significantly higher population than high tiers. As has always been the case. Dunno why you are even surprised. And no worries, you could've gotten a 3 CV per team game.
  13. It takes longer for you to shift your rudder than it takes for torps to hit at kill distances. The enemy DD ed up by sending out a spread initially. Someone actually smart will wait until he's got a guaranteed kill on his hands. I've been there, I've done that. It is not possible to evade torps or kill the DD fast enough with secondaries before he kills you. And that was with full hull control in the RTS iteration. In the rework such a thing is simply not possible as if you play your cards right you will never be in danger of dying while having a guaranteed kill on your hands. Meanwhile you deliberately put yourself and your team into jeopardy just so you can do something incredibly stupid. If it were just you, fine, do whatever you want. But since this is a team game you are being nothing but a selfish by trying to make use of your secondaries when there are far more safe options available. So again, your precious secondaries require the enemy DD to be a stupid to work as already stated. Bots tend to ignore CVs unless no other target is available even when they are straight in your face. So no, that's actually not a valid argument. You may as well say that secondaries are great because they kill inactive bots in the training room. It's the same thing. Far be it for me to tell you to not have fun in OPs or coop with secondaries tho. If you like it, hell go for it. It becomes a problem however when you take that same thing into PvP. Because again this is a team game. It is not just about you. More like you're desperately trying to defend your massive investment into something completely useless which you likely can no longer undo without spending money. Just like WG is trying to tell us that this dumpster fire of a rework is fine.

    Alright, I'm here again to tell you about another glorious CV exploit. I call this the PLANU ULTRA SUPA CIRCELO DORIFTO. This super powerful technique immediately causes brain.exe of any enemy player in the vicinity to crash, thus making them an easy target. However there is also a 50% chance of your own brain.exe to crash, so be cautious. Observe just how easily this can be pulled of: Seriously though, I have no idea what the this is. Has anyone else experienced this?
  15. Quite frankly no you cannot. Even if you don't keep up with your minimap awareness the detected icon is a dead giveaway. At that point you have over a minute to react before a DD becomes a credible threat. More if you can determine where he's coming from via minimap, which is more often than not easily done, and just move in the opposite direction. That is more than enough time to react. Trying to deliberately close the distance to a DD is the wrong move. If he isn't a complete he will kill you with torps long before your secondaries can kill him even if you decide to spec into them. If he's already low HP then secondaries won't be needed to kill him. So yeah, contrary to what you describe secondaries are practically never useful under any realistic circumstance. And you've already admitted yourself that it requires both you AND your enemy to up before getting any use out of them. And you have to be an immense up to not notice the gigantic "! AIRCRAFT CARRIER DETECTED" icon projected directly into your face.

    Indeed, hence why I believe this is bugged. Again a flat 6 hits would yield a lot more damage than "just" 10k. That or WG actually modeled ballistics of HE bombs after AP shells, meaning they have a fuse time and everything. This would enable them to get hits below the waterline.
  17. BFT and MAA are mandatory if you want to go for AA. However keep in mind that using said AA is contradictory to the island hugging playstyle. Skilled CV players will use islands to kill you and that can happen quite fast without much investment on the CV's part. Then again skilled CV players are even more scarce than pre-rework nowadays.

    My guess? Underwater splash damage get counted as hits. If you'd actually hit 5-6 bombs on a DD that DD would instantly die because 6 hits should net you almost 20k alpha with the Lex, not "only" 10k. Maybe that's the buggy part about this.

  21. Used BFT & AFT on pretty much all my cruisers pre-rework as well. Removed AFT on all (except Atlanta for obvious reasons) during the initial respec offer because I already knew it has become worthless thanks to TST and PTS. Against CVs that fly into flak you won't need AFT to kill their planes. Against CVs that can actually dodge AFT doesn't do anything. If you want a 4-pointer against aircraft, pick MAA and use the sector mechanic. BFT maintains usefulness because it buffs DPS which is always applied no matter how skilled the enemy CV is, thus I've kept it.

  23. I meant Midway specifically, but yeah Lex should be able to cit an Emerald with HE bombs. In fact I think I've done that during testing at one point.

  25. Technically speaking because you start out with fewer reserves initially respawning squadrons is kinda fine. The only thing it does is take plane reserve management out of the hands of the player, making sure that unless you are super potato you will always have some planes available. The difference to previously is 1. all reserves are now committed to striking, whereas previously fighters took up a good chunk of your plane capacity. 2. alpha has been replaced by DPM, meaning that CVs will constantly harass with one squad instead of flying one big strike then reload for 3 mins. In addition to respawning planes this gives the illusion that CV reserves are infinite. They are not. Respawning planes is actually a tremendous hindrance to skilled CV players. Giving CVs set reserves like previously would only serve to empower skilled CV players further while potatoes will lose their planes even faster.
