Striking power hasn't gone down. It has gone up. Way up. Spotting is indeed more of a tradeoff which is precisely what I wrote. I have been in no situations in which an RTS CV could win where a reworked CV cannot. I have been in several situations in which a reworked CV could carry where a RTS CV would fail. At the highest level the rework is a massive buff to CVs. The average and lower levels were irrelevant when it came to RTS CVs and as such should also be irrelevant when it comes to reworked CVs. It is quite literally impossible to kill a full HP BB in a single strike with RTS CVs (unless ofc AP bombs are used against targets vulnerable to them, but those are broken anyway and that actually hasn't changed). Killing BBs is actually much faster with reworked CVs than RTS CVs. With a reworked Midway I can finish the job in 3 minutes or less, I'm gonna need double that in an RTS Midway by virtue of having to fly 2-3 strikes. RTS Midway drops 7 bombs per squad, 14 bombs with two squads, dealing ~10k alpha each with a huge spread even with manual drop. Reworked Midway drops 6 bombs per attack, 24 bombs with a single squad, with 11k alpha each. Said attack is over thrice as accurate as a manual drop in an RTS Midway. Continuing to perpetuate lies, eh?

Or just marketing purposes? You know, considering these franchises are so much bigger than WoWs it wouldn't even register on any scale when compared. To put things into perspective, roughly 4 months after release Azur Lane had 5 million active players in Japan alone. How many players does WoWs have overall? 150k? (Although afaik the AL collab came into being because WG Asia are big fans of the game and reached out to AL devs, and AL devs are big fans of WoWs so they responded with enthusiasm.)

If you want a counter to a reworked CV and "not only their planes", as the other guy demanded, time is pretty much the only constraint nowadays. You are capable of killing the entire enemy team, you just don't have the time to do so due to the fixed 20 mins match duration. If you want counters to RTS CVs, time plays a much larger factor because your RoF is the slowest in the game by far. You only get one strike every 3-4 minutes so every single one counts. Likewise if the enemy gets into a winning position too fast you cannot bring most of your reserves to bare, denying you your lategame influence, nor could you do anything against it due to your fundamental inability to play the objective yourself. Unlike space for surface ships limiting time for a CV could be a very real counter. However it was not the ONLY counter to CVs. It wasn't even a relevant one for balancing. It was a simple design constraint of RTS CVs. Likewise RTS CVs weren't ONLY countered by themselves. To insinuate such is utterly ridiculous. So much for your credibility, huh?

And your statements do not? You've lost yours a long time ago. AA cruisers along with playing the objective used to counter CVs. Their effectiveness has been drastically diminished however. Whether you believe that or not is irrelevant. It's like saying skill doesn't influence stats, just because you think it is true doesn't make it so. A higher RoF and plane speed grants tremendously higher flexibility. Having no effective fighters is pretty okay because I don't need to deal with fighters too. AA has been nerfed to the extreme for most dedicated AA ships. Global scouting was traded off for local spotting. Damage potential has increased at high tiers (for the relevant CVs). If that isn't a buff, what is? I still play RTS CVs on the Chinese server. They're actually less effective. Being able to cross drop and kill one DD every 3-4 minutes is a lot less effective than being able to kill a DD every 1 1/2 minutes e.g.

You don't need CE with USN CVs tbh. Been playing without it just fine. If I was playing IJN I'd probably pick TA as well, if only to see how it goes.

Time. Or playing the objective to win as fast as possible to be precise. The faster you win, the less strikes a CV gets, the less influence he has, the more pressure is on him. It's a fairly flimsy counter nowadays though considering the ways reworked CVs were buffed over their predecessors.

RN attack planes should be a bit faster. I realize that this is supposed to be one of their national flavors but right now they are way too slow. RN Level Bombers are practically unusable at any tier but T10 due to insufficient HE penetration. Either buff that or bomb falling speed. Neither non-linear AA nor lower immunity altitude for attack wings have had noticable impact on plane survivability in my experience. Could just be me tho.

Implying that has changed, except reworked CVs have higher damage potential and a wider range of targets with far less counterplay.

I was unaware RN CLs have so much penetration power islands pose no issue to them. (Was watching Fara playing Indomitable in the background. You can tell how amazing that ship is by the tone of his voice.)

And I guess I shouldn't mention how you're ripping that way out of context. It is once again part of the whole deception stuff, aka it requires your enemy to be stupid enough to fall for it. -

A quote that actually doesn't appear in the book. The closest you come to that is the entire "All warfare is based on deception" thing in the first chapter, which also tells you that you shouldn't fall for such deceptions. Aka your enemy has to act like a dumb for you to be successful with such strategies, something often enough the case in both irl and virtual warfare. So to fall for your secondary "trap" the enemy DD has to be an idiot. Nothing new, we deduced that quite a while ago. Btw, in that very chapter it ironically says that someone who doesn't listen to counsel should be immediately dismissed from service. I guess the Art of War is telling you to uninstall? -
Just reviewed the footage. Here's what happens and it is pretty ridiculous: Flak renders completely different for CVs and surface ships. There are multiple instances in which enemy planes in your replay get shredded by "invisible" flak walls (can't be DPS because multiple planes get hit at the same time), yet we all know that flak walls are far from invisible when we play CVs. It's honestly really weird, but I can't think of any other explanation. If you want to look for yourself, slow the replay down with the "Delete" key when you see planes approaching, detach the camera from the ship (ctrl + shift + R + backspace) and move it close to the approaching aircraft via arrow keys. You can see them transitioning from one health color to another pretty clearly via them all exploding as they hit a flak wall which you can't see.

Huh, never had that (yet). I only know depleting boost completely then triggering the consumable is guaranteed to make you incapable of using boost while the consumable is active. -

It's a bug. Already reported it. As a workaround, don't fully deplete your boost before activating the boost consumable. That's what is causing it. -
Because someone who complains about something being inefficient then not being able to play a ship to its full potential surely has a right to complain. Don't need to take what was never yours to begin with. You may as well say it is unfair that someone can't be in the Olympics despite never training for a moment of their life for it. It's equally ridiculous.
