    Regardless of whether what you wrote above is true or not, this at least can be proven wrong with hard statistical data. Simply truth is CVs haven't had any impact on population numbers. Which would mean the situation is the other way around, removing CVs would actually lose them players, keeping them won't. A net loss of 10% playerbase is actually a pretty big deal in f2p games, especially ones like WoWs that have a rather meh population in the first place. And ofc money compensation. Ofc it's entirely possible too that CV players wouldn't leave at all if the class was removed (especially since this game is a monopoly) but in pure business terms it's much better to not take the risk. I generally disagree with your overall narrative (as you probably already know) but yeah, if WG would refund me I'd much rather have CVs removed too than keeping this dumpster fire of a rework. Fat chance of that ever happening tho.

    1. You need to be directly above your teammate to use them to any effect. This means if it isn't on your way to your target, you often have to waste time and cut your own DPM in an attempt to save your teammate which probably won't be very successful anyway. 2. It weakens your own defensive posture should it come down to a snipefest at the end of a match which can happen pretty often. 3. You're pretty much only delaying the inevitable unless you consistently spam fighters above your teammate that is constantly under attack. Even then one attack will usually go through regardless. 4. Enemy CV can either elect to cheese your fighters by e.g. shortening squads and other methods or just look for another target. So if you happen to be at the right place at the right time, by all means use your fighters. But never go out of your way to protect a teammate because you're wasting your own time and he's gonna die anyway regardless of what you do.

    Was that me? I feel like that was me. That's my default response to people asking for fighter cover. The simple truth is attempting to actively provide fighter cover is a gigantic waste of time that rarely, if ever nets returns. Your time is much better spent attacking the enemy to keep up in the damage race between you and the enemy CV. Trying to hinder the CV with fighters only sabotages yourself as you'll inevitably fall behind. So asking your CV for fighter cover is about as effective as asking him to bomb himself. Both sabotage his chances of winning.

    Being pink is a warning. It has no repercussions. You are not being punished (well, unless you consider your name being written in pink as punishment). Packet loss etc. suggests a problem with your connection, it cannot be fixed by playing around with graphics settings.

    They have something, its called armor and HP. Whether you have a few machine guns that point up or not is irrelevant because they'd be worthless anyway. In exchange low tier CVs deal anemic damage which allows your armor and HP to just soak it up without much issue. Yes this is stupid design, but nonetheless how it works.

    Khaba is a ship that overlaps into the cruiser role. As such her capabilities must be measured as a limited mix of both at which point we arrive at where Khaba can only really give gunfire support. She's better at it than other DDs though so that compensates somewhat for her other missing capabilities. There are quite a few ships like Khaba that encourage solo rather than teamplay. Personally I don't like those but they do bring variety at the cost of diminished impact on the match unless they're made overly powerful in their particular nieche as the history of the Khaba proves. What you said about St. Louis would be true - if she had sufficient range for it. If she had that however counterplay options against her on her own tier would be severely diminished. Running full AA (which is admittedly a stupid thing to exist) and sticking with teammates that are capable of denying the CV. Or just playing an AA ship yourself. As I already stated though, counterplay options throughout the RTS iteration were severely lacking. This is something that had to be improved. But the rework ofc only made it worse. Which I suppose is just that then. A difference in opinion. Is it objectively in terms of game design supposed to be true though? Both are scenarios you're supposed to learn to avoid via them being not fun. Just like losing a life in Super Mario is something to be avoided because it isn't fun e.g. Because individual actions do not necessarily equal team based actions. For example when I ran AA cover for teammates I felt satisfaction in it because I knew I made a difference in doing so. It wasn't completely without interaction either as I needed to change position in accordance to where planes are most likely to come from and how my teammates are moving or potentially splitting. Or I could ambush planes by abusing my AA range and concealment. It was a thankless job in terms of rewards more often than not, but as long as I won I didn't care.

    Flak is irrelevant against anything that isn't a potato. Against a potato CV you'll murder him even if you just get a single flak explosion as is proven by the various hilarious screenshots floating around on the forums where something like a Hatsu can get 50+ plane kills. As for short range DPS, lets assume my activation range for torps is roughly 1.5km. So when I go attack you with TBs, I will only spend at most 0.4km within your short range flak which is less than a second. If your short range flak doesn't tick in that time I get away with NO damage taken from your short range DPS. Bailout will then easily accelerate me away at least 2km, during which I will be immune to any damage. So yeah, please tell me again how valuable your short range DPS is.

  17. Fighter exploit has been fixed, as such catapult fighters are actually much better at air defense than DFAA. There are ways to preserve your aircraft when under attack but the strike is ruined regardless.
  18. I'm sorry, but please tell me what part of these girls look underage. As in their physical appearance. Because to me they look early 20s pretty easily. Then again the dude from Pokemon looks like 16 to me when he's supposed to be... 12 I think? If you want something to prove your point, just google "Kalk Azur Lane", but imo neither Atago nor Pringles apply.

    The only aircraft that spends meaningful time in your short range DPS are DBs. And those will usually do it at 0.0km range where AA won't fire anyway. The reason for that is very simple: Aircraft get complete damage immunity for a short time after an attack. By the time immunity fades the squadron will have already gotten long out of your short range DPS because aircraft are artificially accelerated away from you during that time to prevent them from stacking attacks on you too fast. As such having a bit more mid range DPS is well worth the trade.

    Let me make it simple for you: - RTS CVs dominated in pre-rework environment - Reworked CVs would've dominated even harder in pre-rework environment - Reworked CVs still dominate in post-rework environment - RTS CVs would've been much less successful in post-rework environment Conclusion: Reworked CVs are more powerful than RTS CVs on an individual basis Do you get it now? That reworked CVs can even be this successful in the new meta is a testament to their hilarious power. Had a game just yesterday where the enemy did nothing but clump in one gigantic blob that never separated and had multiple AA ships in it. I would've been completely ed in a RTS CV in that situation. In a reworked CV tho? All 4 DDs dead within a few minutes which meant cap superiority and the game won in like 10 mins via points. Thus 85%+ solo WR in RTS CVs is pretty much equivalent to ~70% solo WR in reworked CVs. If you wanted to induce a meta change to make CVs less influential just universally distributing and equalizing AA would've achieved much better results. You know, like skilled CV players have been saying for years.

    Which again is a byproduct of the meta and not because reworked CVs have been neutered in capabilities. Give me a pre-rework environment and I believe I could hit 90% solo WR with reworked CVs pretty easily.

    Except that T8 CVs face far harsher opposition than they used to do and IJN CVs in general have been pretty much neutered in potency and can no longer keep up with their contemporaries. What you're writing COMPLETELY ignores the developments of the meta. You may as well say RTS Ranger was overpowered and point towards her stats when every CV captain worth their salt knew that literally the only reason Ranger could remotely do well was because of T7 MM and the severe lack of AA around. Make her face any serious opposition suited for a CV meta and she'd fail. Hard. That I can even remotely reach the stats that I do in the current Enterprise is a testament of how laughably powerful she is. In RTS Enterprise I'd struggle to maintain over 70% solo WR in the current meta. Over 1k games I can remember maybe 3 instances of facing serious AA opposition. I do almost on a daily basis now. And I don't give a because LOL rework.

    Except top player stats in CVs haven't really changed, haven't they? E.g. according to most people that I could reach 76% solo WR in RTS Midway, that was me abusing a broken class. But if I can reach 77% solo WR in reworked Midway, that is just me being a unicum? Am I missing something? Match impact of a ship can be quantifiable by simply taking a look at how the top players perform in it, although sadly stat sites do not offer a solo filter for global stats so you're gonna have to do it the hard way.
