In terms of AA regardless of BFT/AFT unless your enemy is dumb enough to fly into flak one attack will always get through, then everything, including the bailing attack wing, gets slaughtered by fighters and AA. If your attacker is smart he will limit losses by shortening the squad to one attack because that's all he gets anyway. If your enemy is dumb enough to fly into flak then he'll die before he reaches you again no matter if you take BFT/AFT or not. So in this aspect taking BFT and/or AFT makes literally no difference. Funny for someone so hung up on noticeable differences. There is really only one big advantage to Sight Stabilization. It allows you to attack more accurately earlier especially with DBs, making you spend less time in AA. As such it is actually a survivability skill. Same with Engine Cooling and Improved Engine Boost. Due to the very nature of AA DPS speed translates to survivability. Likewise for IJN TBs concealment translates to survivability as AA cannot engage them unless spotted. And concealment generally can be used to pick better positions on the map to increase your plane cycling time which in turn translates to higher DPM. So now you've conceded a ton of plane survivability for something that you will only ever use if you're dumb enough to not pay attention. Something actually skilled CV players will never have to face because they possess basic minimap awareness. Such effectiveness. Much wow.

Any effective CV build now basically boils down to whether you want to stick with CE or not. You however need every single survivability skill to remain competitive when getting up tiered, hence foregoing them is a no no. This is actually why I recommend taking CE only after you've got all survivability skills. This also gives you more experience in making that decision. You may notice that you can play without it just fine or feel like that you really need it. I have no idea whether GZ wants TA (as I don't have one myself). On some CVs it is a must have, on some it is a nice to have and the rest don't want it. You'll have to either ask someone like @Graf_Zeppelin_Kai or get some experience with it yourself. AS is a fine choice. I'd rate it as more useful than a bit more boost.

Why do you think I play reworked CVs? Recommend dropping CE for SE and Improved Engine Boost instead. You're gonna need every bit of plane survivability you can get when you inevitably get up tiered.

And before you say it, surface ships stats are practically irrelevant since neither of us has played a significant amount in them in that time span.

And, pray tell, how many matches did you lose because you decided to run a meme build? If you lose 10 matches because you didn't take something vital but win 3 because you were able to use your secondaries to some effect that's a hilariously bad trade. Not that you'll admit it ofc. I'm not even going to bother to address how hilariously wrong you are on the other accounts.

Oh btw, This is actually untrue. Kaga's respawn rate is either very meh (TBs/DBs) or extremely bad (RFs). Lexington regens planes faster than her. Enterprise outright laughs in her face unless DBs are concerned. So if you get deplaned in the Kaga you tend to stay deplaned for a pretty long time.

It's more of a question of whether you can get yourself to a drop position since maneuvering in Enterprise DBs doesn't have any effect on accuracy whatsoever. So technically speaking if you time your approach right you can even start your attack from a near 90° angle and maneuver in for a drop. Pulling that off successfully requires some experience however. I just use RFs against those or cross drop with torps. It's much easier and reliable than praying to RNG.

General guide? Not that I know of. I currently use this on the Enterprise. https://wowsft.com/ship?index=PASA518&modules=111111&upgrades=122410&commander=PCW001&skills=2282366984&consumables=11&lang=en I may however move away from DB health to TB health instead considering the latter are a much more flexible weapon. Although griefing cruisers who are supposed to counter you with AP DBs is pretty funny. May also drop CE. Enterprise has some options as to how you set her up unlike her USN peers.

Then the previous buyers would've gotten them for amazingly cheap, which means it'd be unfair for new buyers I presume? No one ever said that it had to make sense. It only has to make sense in WG's eyes which we already know is a different standard entirely.

Maybe because they know they're more powerful than the others. On a more serious note, probably has to do with stuff concerning previous buyers. If e.g. Enterprise were to be made cheaper than previously it'd be unfair to those that bought her prior to the rework.

Meh, last I checked that guy thinks I'm a anyway so I guess I shouldn't bother. To everyone else who doesn't know yet: Enterprise is overpowered but will do you no good if you're not sufficiently skilled.

Damage drop from saturation actually isn't particularly significant if TST Midway has told me anything. And you'll probably get a ton of fires, too. But yeah, Indomitable lacks the reserves, plane regen and health to spam them anyway. I'll pass as well. If I want to have fun with rockets there's already a waifu ship in my port for that. Still funny tho that they thought giving anything TST Midway RF attributes would be a reasonable thing to do. -

It's honestly too bad I didn't take a screenshot of the 11k salvo I once got on a Haru (all 18 rockets hit, this is the maximum damage achievable). Needless to say he died shortly after. -
