    CV Rework Discussion

Yeah, I didn't totally just list 4 ways to prevent that. And it's hardly all of them. Surface ships will start dying a lot faster than they will have an appreciable effect on CV reserves if you just abuse what the devs are saying are "working as intended" mechanics. Ranked is a 7vs7, of which two are going to be CVs. Even with all remaining ships clustered together they will inevitably remain vulnerable.

    CV: Spotting changes super test

Precisely, AA either was largely useless or a complete no fly zone depending on your build. Hence why the need of an AA build had to be eliminated for better balancing. One of the dozens of improvements that would've been in the realms of possibility in the RTS iteration. And funnily enough even in the rework WG holds onto their idea that you should have to specialize against CVs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Which has several counterplay options from a CV point of view. 1. Typically the strongest AA ships tend to need island cover to not get blown into smithereens by BBs. Ironically the very usage of said island cover makes their AA extremely weak even when combined. 2. Slingshots are highly effective in negating AA even if there are multiple ships in the target area. 3. TB heal allows you to press at least one, if not two attacks even with multiple ships in the target area. 4. RFs are typically so fast that the small exposure time to AA doesn't deny a strike even if the squad is shortened. Among other, more hilarious exploits. So while underestimating AA is definitely a mistake, as is underestimating anything really, AA blobs aren't exactly something to worry about if you know how to deal with them and remain very much in danger of getting struck by aircraft.

Yeah, seems very weak indeed. /s Good thing stuff like this is still on video so people like you can't keep lying.
  5. Ability to make my teammates go suicide so I get more time to farm damage? Count me right the in.
  6. If you don't like the recent changes, just go play on the CN server. They're still on 0.7.3. Be aware tho, most of the players you meet there are gonna be bots, so the playing standard is much, MUCH higher than over here.

Likewise I can ask you to convince us of the relevancy of your argument. Is that too much?

    CV Rework Discussion

Can you tell me why this is relevant since ranked is locked to T10?
  9. Well, that's E1 hard done. Got a Taigei and Kunashiri dupe but otherwise nothing special. May return to farm Akizuki. *looks at E2 map* Wow Tanaka, are you for real?

    CV Rework Discussion

Yes. "A group of ships presents the most difficult target for aircraft carriers". *laughs in slingshot*
  11. Tsu Flagship makes her debut as the boss of E1. Well, there's the Atlanta I wanted. In a different way I suppose, but still... Why Tanaka? T_T
  12. Well, you haven't met me yet. Very true that it's dependent on the competence of the enemy CV though.
  13. If you don't force it on cd it's remaining duration + cd. If you do it's just the cd. A few seconds less could easily mean having DFAA or not back in the RTS iteration. Nowadays forcing it on cd isn't really necessary anymore (since you'll have it ready by the 3rd strike regardless). While true, CV DPS rises to utterly ridiculous levels at that point. DFAA isn't exactly going to save you or anyone around you from dying (assuming T8+). Unless you can get so close that you can kill returning planes, but that can usually be done without DFAA pretty easily.

    CV: Spotting changes super test

    - implying full AA spec is useful now - implying DDs can't be permaspotted now (not that that matters considering they're getting killed at the same time too) - implying "special targets" like Musashi don't get bodied by reworked CVs

Actually it does matter. Izumo has far worse HP, TDS and AA, meaning she can neither shoot down planes nor take torps on her belt to reduce damage. Going by my previous calculation, that Izumo is obviously going to die.

Helping new players stick to the game

The official answer to tutorials is that WG doesn't believe ingame tutorials change anything. What they do ironically believe in is that the majority of people who actually need it are going to watch their videos and learn from them. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  18. We're live on KC. Full patchnotes here: https://www.reddit.com/r/kancolle/comments/br2czs/news_521_patchnote/ - New CL is Giuseppe Garibaldi, an Abruzzi class cruiser - Akagi K2 once again takes a ton of mats to remodel, including 2 BPs and a catapult (thank god I saved my BP this month, I had a feeling this bull would happen) - Akagi K2 has a sidegrade that makes her into a CV(N) (called K2E) - 2 more lolis to get thrown into jail for - CGs can be found here: https://imgur.com/a/FwRLTLQ -> Akagi really doesn't change much at all but her base design is imo pretty good anyway -> Garibaldi looks great Let the salt begin. On a different note, someone wrote his Master's Thesis on KC. Can be found here: https://helda.helsinki.fi/bitstream/handle/10138/229753/Vuorikoski_Valtteri_Pro gradu_2017.pdf Also

So how exactly does higher average damage lead to a higher WR then? Let me tell you the truth. It doesn't. Average damage is the worst indicator for skill and contrary to popular belief does not make you good at this game nor does it lead to a high WR beyond a certain threshold. Said threshold is determined by average skill in any given game. Basic example, this guy: https://wows-numbers.com/player/507353297,avenger121/?type=solo Has extremely high average damage, enough to be considered one of the best in the game in the ships he plays, yet he earns a comparatively laughable WR. That means his damage is for the most part completely worthless in winning matches as is reflected in e.g. his low kills per match among other things. 300k average damage won't win you more matches than you currently do unless applied correctly. And once you apply damage correctly you will earn a high average no longer since the HP pools of the highest impact surface ships, aka the ships you should target to win, tends to be rather limited. In addition to that killing said priority targets also tends to win matches faster, further limiting your ability to score high damage numbers. Any halfway competent player will tell you that average damage is for the most part worthless in winning a match. 20k damage applied on a T10 DD will do more to win matches than 60k damage applied to a T10 BB. Or, as we call it in Counter-Strike, it's all about the impact frags. No one gives a about you if you have 150 ADR (Average Damage per Round) but you get all of that from exit frags in lost rounds. Meanwhile if you have 80 ADR but have won 3 clutches that makes you an infinitely more valuable teammate. The best scenario is ofc to have both extremely high average damage and extremely high impact, but that's something belonging to the realm of fantasy most of the time. Possibly, since Saipan's TBs are vastly more sluggish and have a higher arming distance. Problems that Enterprise does not have as I wanted to demonstrate in the video. Lets take the Conq from the video for example and imagine he had turned left as he should have. Because I can see that he's turning left I would adjust my angle and drop further away, scoring at least two hits, then turn left immediately for the cross drop (which I can do due to pre-rework arming distance and superior maneuverability), still earning three hits because he can't adjust faster than I can attack. Depending on whether he keeps turning left or adjust to the right I would turn accordingly for another cross drop and earn another three hits. It's not that hard since I don't need to give the enemy time to adjust, instead I can reengage immediately. Thus aside from the initial drop any missed torps are entirely my fault. Hence why Enterprise TBs are superior and, combined with high alpha strike, flooding chance and a vastly superior respawn speed, are arguably the best in the game right now.
  20. Which is completely off topic and has quite literally nothing to do with what is being discussed. Just like the countries we are all from.

And yet despite doing more damage than me you're winning less. Doesn't that contradict your narrative? Or to put things into perspective, there are people in the Midway doing literally 50-100k more damage than me in mine and yet have vastly inferior WR. How do you explain that? Yet apparently you're good enough to do it on a consistent basis as by your own admission. That should make it easy enough for any similarly or higher skilled player.
  22. So you barged into this conversation without even knowing what it was about. Amazing.
  23. Because clearly using a MM monitor to see what your chances of winning are, which enemies are priority targets and which teammates are most likely to support/fail you is the same as judging people in court.

    CV Rework Discussion

Says the guy doing 30% more damage yet lagging 10% behind in WR. And that's despite me having 4x your matches played. So now it is impossible to miss a maneuvering target. Nice of you to finally admit it. Only to contradict yourself again in your following sentence. Because they're ed.

CV Rework: Some tips for beginners.

Only tested it once after the enlightened drop was fixed. Behavior seemed vastly more inconsistent, but then again I didn't collect enough data for a conclusive answer. Maybe I'll revisit that, but tbh considering E's AP DBs suffer no penalty when maneuvering there are few instances in which it will be beneficial to go for an enlightened drop against belt armor anyway. The very few targets you can only citadel this way (Atlanta e.g.) you are usually better off killing with rockets as they are vastly more consistent.
