  1. Oh don't worry, I probably hate reworked CVs as much as you do. It's just that my hate for the abysmal majority of the playerbase far surpasses my hate for reworked CVs.
  2. You do realize all time stats are kinda irrelevant to the rework, no? Also starting around June 2017 player numbers have in fact remained stable aside from the typical influx/decline at the end of the year due to new years events. That's actually pretty good player retention over two years.

    To put a little bit of context into that video: No, he did not have adequate levels of AA protection despite saying that he did. Kutuzov has comparable AA to a Pensacola nowadays. No close range AA either meaning planes no longer take damage once crossing a certain distance. So her AA is absolutely worthless. Kutuzov can no longer be considered an AA ship, stop acting like she is. Vladi likewise has comparable AA to a Pensacola. And again, no close range AA. This means having a Kutuzov in close proximity with a Vladi planes will take no damage whatsoever after crossing a certain distance. Funnily enough that means having his Kutuzov div mate sail next to him was a horrendous MISPLAY. Let that sink in for a moment. The only ship in proximity with decent AA is DoY. And she actually has T10 cruiser levels of AA. Too bad she is sitting behind an island so her AA doesn't contribute at all. So in reality we have a T8 CV attacking what basically amounts to two T6 ships in terms of AA. iChase is asking for consistency, this is precisely what can be considered a consistent result. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (I'm not saying this is fine, I actually think this is ing stupid, but it's the reality of the situation.)

    Enterprise planes are actually a lot more durable than GZ planes. And funnily enough she also excels in T10 matches due to her fast regenerating reserves, ludicrous alpha strike and target preference against two of the most influential ship types, one of which is supposed to counter her, while keeping every plane type viable (meaning she gets full use out of her huge reserves unlike most other CVs where one plane type is usually sub-par) and retaining excellent impact against everything else. I can assure you that E outclasses GZ at higher skill levels just like she does every CV in the game except Midway. This is a T10 CV in disguise. Her only downfalls are meh plane speed, that her DBs rely on RNG and a rather high skill requirement when up tiered. Make that last part up though and she will utterly destroy entire teams on her own.

To clarify a few things I thought are a bit misleading: Fighters begin their active time immediately even if they're still deploying (read: cannot be pulled yet), taking up about 5 seconds of that. Likewise the last 15 to 10 or so seconds (depending on attacking plane type) are completely worthless as they won't have time to both aggro and deal damage to any squadron pulling them, despawning before that. So in terms of plane killing capability fighters are only active for around 40-45 seconds. If you see an enemy CV spawn fighters over his allies, watch the clock. It's your best friend. In terms of scouting however they actually get around 10 seconds more as they keep spotting even as they're despawning. Which will rarely ever happen as they will usually die before that if you use them for spotting tho. Fighters will only continue to pursue bailing squadrons into immunity altitude if they've started dealing damage. If they haven't they actually just return to their patrol area even if they've been pulled. This is important because accel bail is very effective in preventing fighters from catching up to bailing planes. They also only aggro the main squadron. Bailing attack wings get ignored. Do note that you actually need patrol areas to overlap sufficiently as otherwise fighters won't aggro on each other. A good rule of thumb is to just take a slight dip into the fighter patrol area before deploying your own fighters. That actually depends on the fighter. Fighter base speed is boost speed of RFs. E.g. this makes RN fighters laughably slow, so they can be more easily outrun. Also fighter aggro is actually time based and lasts 30 seconds, if they haven't started dealing damage they'll return to their original patrol location. A worthless anecdote I'm only stating for completions sake as their short lifespan will usually just make them despawn enroute back. There are also a few more counterplay options which I won't bother to list because lol dis rework. Jesus Christ no. This is an utterly horrible option. It lets your enemy get ahead in the damage race for quite literally nothing gained because the enemy CV may just pick another target or accel bail. It also opens you up to getting baited. If I see you following me I will simply go for a target I don't actually care about, half heartedly attack it then go after the completely exposed actual target. Meanwhile you have to fly across the whole map so I'll be done with my attack before you even reach my team, now I can just pop a fighter and waste even more of your time. This should not be under "how good players use fighters". Ladies and gents, pay very close attention to this section. QF fing T.

    Look, there is nothing particularly wrong about wanting to support your teammates who are struggling, however there will be times when no matter what you do, the flank is gonna be lost and your teammates will die. At that point it is the right decision to cut your losses early and help your other flank win it faster so that they don't get caught in a pincer. Again, there is no general guide for this. You need to judge every situation on an individual basis and make your call accordingly. That takes skill and experience, something you'll (hopefully) gain along the way. One thing I ony reiterate though is that preemptive fighter cover is largely useless due to its inherent short duration (by the time the enemy CV returns your fighter probably won't deal any damage even if aggro'd because their "life span" is too short) so you can forget about that. You're locked into a damage race with the enemy CV, every single minute in which he strikes while you do not he gets ahead. So only use your fighter if it can be used for scouting or you just happen to be in the area which the enemy CV wants to target and you see a strike approaching, otherwise you're wasting way too much time for the fighter cover to be worth it.

    They'll have a hard time with or without you as you cannot prevent the enemy from shooting your teammates. If they're going to die regardless there is no worth in attempting to save them. If I was given the option of parity or being disadvantaged I'd go for parity every single time.

    Funny then how I am extremely successful in winning with my approach. Very often in CVs helping your team means you're actually sabotaging it. This e.g. is such a case.

    Fun fact: Your ships are usually gonna get wiped regardless if they don't retreat. Sometimes it's better to wipe out all the enemies the majority of your own team is concentrating on so that they don't get flanked or otherwise caught out of position. Again, it's entirely dependent on the situation. No one is served better if your teammates on your weaker flank get wiped regardless and the other flank is still busy dealing with their enemies. Even if you've managed to cripple or kill a few ships on the flank being pressured, that's a disadvantaged situation right there. If you instead hand kill all enemies on your stronger flank your teammates would then be ready to fight the stronger enemy flank without worry, essentially resetting the field. Besides, it's not like you want all of your teammates to survive as a CV. Just enough so you can win the match and comfortably farm damage.

    That is a viable option actually. Because killing all enemies on the stronger flank means the majority of your ships are now freed up to fight the enemies on your weaker flank. I tend to do this if resistance is greater than expected despite the superiority of my own flank (read: my team takes way too long in winning what is supposed to be an easy fight). If you see the enemy on your stronger flank get absolutely trashed or be in utterly worthless positions however, there is no need for the extra support, thus you can start softening up the enemies on your weaker flank. It depends largely on the situation.

    Honestly I would be a lot less mad if he had just given me the "lol you are skilled CV, we no listen to you" again. At least that would be consistent with what they told us previously. Then again now that I think about it they've pulled the "git gud" card previously too when the GZ was released and nobody could make her work because she was a horrible CV at release. "You all suck, just git gud, lol Fara is noob, GZ is perfectly fine da!" Honestly slipped my mind since I wasn't affected as I didn't buy her.

    Which in itself makes no sense at all. Why would one ship calculate with base lead while the other calculates with prediction? And why did this not happen with the FdG as well? After all I started boosting AFTER entering their AA, so if what you were saying were true I should've gotten caught by flak. In fact during the entire match there are several instances in which I enter AA while slowing down from boost and it only happens in that one instance. And I do this on a regular basis. So either this is actually a bug and Lumberjack is lying to me, or S_O is still lying by saying flak can only spawn on the predicted path. And ofc the former jumps on your explanation despite never mentioning it before. Complete bull, you're just trying to dig yourself out of your own hole. If that is actually how this is supposed to work, how come this behavior is so laughably inconsistent? Can you actually provide a real explanation beyond "lol it's working as intended" or are you simply not allowed to admit that you're wrong?

    Which should be expected as CVs themselves are doing a good chunk of the damage WHILE spotting, actively preventing spotting damage to be dealt. Also "high speed DB squad with infinite hp"? Are you on drugs?

    I mean, unlike before you'd have to spend a little time inside mid range AA I suppose but that will be of little consolation to whoever is getting struck as they will still get struck regardless while the CV is still bypassing flak, all long range and most of the mid range AA. To put this into perspective, current attack cd is 5 seconds.
