Kek oath system. Curious how the skins are going to look like assuming this isn't a joke. -
Secondaries : Cruiser HE power at 10 km or not ?

He never shows the detailed tab. Because it always reveals things that are in contradiction with his narrative. -

Well, that's it. I ran out of fuel running ~160 sorties to E4 and no Fletcher to be seen. T_T -
- Saw a Kremlin today that was being heavily HE spammed by me (DM) and a Henry. - After several minutes it finally looks like he's about to go down - He goes unspotted for a few seconds - Reappears with over 30k HP 10/10 Kuznetsov is totally balans

Except again, because of the unequal skill distribution and lack of hard borders players will inevitably find themselves in brackets where they don't belong in. Because every match has a winner and a loser (in the majority of cases anyway) that means we'd have an endless supply of s cycling in and out of the higher brackets as the lower ones will be devoid of gatekeepers, creating the same problem we face now only with longer queue times for anyone that isn't braindead. Hardly worth the effort. 25 full matches for a whole continent is incredibly pathetic. You're also assuming everyone queues at the same time, plays the same tier and gamemode with a desired class distribution while ignoring soft/hard cap rules of MM. So no, that's not enough. It is far from enough.
-
And again, how does that solve anything? Due to the overwhelming amount of s in this game that just means they'll reach higher ranks despite not having the skill for it, presenting the same problem as before. The playerbase isn't distributed equally in skill level and in combination with the extremely low population that makes any relative system worthless.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Could've gotten 10 if a BB hiding behind me hadn't stolen a DD from 15km. ¬_¬ -
Funny and sad game situations shown with map screenshots.

- in a fight against a Gearing in my DM - DD teammate uses DW torps from second line against them - have to evade - get caught by perfect cross drop from enemy DD Next time I'll just ing eat the friendly torps. -
And a relative system doesn't solve anything as already explained, as such it is wasted time and effort.
-
Except the playerbase is NOT distributed that way. The vast majority will be in the lowest bracket, a good chunk in the 2nd lowest and by the third you'd already be dealing with player scarcity. Assuming that there is an equal distribution of players in terms of skill is ignorance of the highest order.

Precisely. 20-30k is a pitiful number for a rating system and will inevitably create the problems stated above. What you need is at least ~100k, preferably more.
-
Which would change things.... how exactly? If the general population isn't high enough then we just end up with the very same issues as we do now except we'd have a guaranteed 30 second wait time. Putting in any sort of leeway into your system will inevitably ruin it because, once again, the population of this game isn't high enough to sustain any kind of rating system. So it's either nothing changes or halfway skilled players get horrendous waiting times. A horrible idea either way.
-
WoWs doesn't have the population to sustain a rating based system. You'd essentially be punished with extremely long queue times simply by not being braindead.
-
Which is fair enough, however it infuriates me that they aren't punished for it at all. Some time ago an user has proven that by just sailing a premium ship you can basically just press the W key once and you're making tons of ingame currency to sustain any ed playstyle. Even WG has acknowledged that they've ed up the economy, but ofc refuse to do anything about it. Thus verbal abuse is your only "offensive tool" left against such players and no matter how much they deny it, WG is actively pouring fuel into the inferno of their own making to stuff their own pockets. Considering that saying that they don't want a toxic environment is outright hypocrisy and extremely laughable.
-
No it's not. A ton of these players are essentially sending the ball into their own goal by selfishly enjoying the game and wanting to relax. These are not mutually exclusive things. Just because you're not actively teamkilling or sth along those lines doesn't mean you can't sabotage your own team. The s who sail along the border etc. all fall under that category, yet they will continue to do so because of their own bull "I play for phun" logic and WG's refusal to punish them in any way. This is a multiplayer game. No matter your own personal enjoyment griefing your own team like this should be a bannable offense as it is in real life or at least be severely punished otherwise (*cough* economy *cough*). Yet it is not. "Playing for fun and to relax" becomes a bull excuse to justify any playing style that sabotages the game and is an outright insult to anyone who has to put up with someone who does it. Under no circumstances should it ever be tolerated. If someone can't be bothered to show the basic courtesy of playing for the benefit of their team just so they can "have fun and relax" then I'm sorry, but I see no reason to show that individual any respect or courtesy either. They deserve every single bit of verbal abuse they get, which is the only thing left to combat them as WG refuses to address the issue just so they can fill their pockets.

There's only so many ways a DD can maneuver. Unless you make rockets so slow to the point of breaking immersion that's really not a viable path. A 50% reduction wouldn't do much, you'd basically just be turning the smaller rockets into TiTs and it is currently really not all that difficult to hit DDs with TiTs assuming your dispersion doesn't you over.

Shooting CV's = Where have the fires and citadels gone??
El2aZeR replied to snowy76's topic in General Guides
Depends on the CV and the ship you're captaining. Generally speaking T4-8 CVs are vulnerable to HE as well as high caliber AP. At T10 however all CVs get an armored flight deck, as such they become almost completely immune to HE (Conqueror and Lion HE can penetrate) as well as immune to all AP shells fired at their deck regardless of distance. No matter which shell type you use you should go for the hull instead of the deck when shooting at T10 CVs. With RN CVs however the armored part doesn't extend their entire deck length, so using HE and high caliber AP can still be effective. I recommend just looking at the armor of them ingame. -
Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

So sad I was chatbanned. That looked like an interesting conversation. Isn't a "noob unicum CV" a contradiction in itself? -

El2aZeR replied to snowy76's topic in General Guides
WG, because they didn't want us to have manual hull control. So the hull has to be as proof as possible. -

El2aZeR replied to snowy76's topic in General Guides
DCP of CVs has been extended to a full minute. That means after your first fire/flooding you won't get another one for a minute. Fires also only last 5 seconds on CVs so it usually isn't worth it to go for them anyway. Otherwise nothing has been changed. -

Nice. I'm well over 120 sorties into E4 and still Fletcher is nowhere to be seen. T_T -
Compared to same stats last year: - High tier WR has decreased - High tier damage has increased, however kills per match has decreased -> more damage farming, less effective damage - Survivability has decreased harshly for everyone but CVs. CV survivability has ironically increased -> higher tanking damage as players take more damage - Population has dramatically increased as has the number of battles played If that isn't an indicator that the playerbase is worse than before then what is?
-
And their performance will still be worse than when they played lower tiers. That was my entire point. He might be improving but not fast enough to offset difficulty of play when failing his way up.
-
Oh but it is. You see, a bad player that has learned nothing (or very little) failing up the tiers will inevitably get punished harder and harder as ships become more punishing and demanding in skill. Thus performance will drop accordingly.
