Probably because objectively there is no feedback to give beyond "Scrap the whole rework and start anew." The AA change only proves that point.
-
Funny, those who insist on the rework being fixable aren't the ones being reasonable and the AA change more than proves that. There are no adjustments that can be made without breaking either reworked CV play or surface ship play because the very fundamentals are flawed to their cores. I would also love to know where you get the idea from that a satisfactory arrangement for all involved can be found.
-
CVs have always been judged by their most powerful representatives in both skill and ships. I don't see why reworked ones should be treated any differently.
-
Still op unsurprisingly. In fact she got a pretty big buff both directly via boost adjustment and in relative terms as she simply doesn't care about losses, solidifying her position as the best CV in the game.

I wasn't aware taking past attempts by WG to create incentives for players to play another class isn't hard data but "hopes and dreams". Just because you refuse to accept the facts at hand doesn't mean it is any less true. It also directly invalidates your case study since it has been proven to not work in WoWs. So your belief that your system can succeed is in fact based on nothing.

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
El2aZeR replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
My best teammate had a WR of 45%, while over half of yours was super unicum. Also my JB rammed me at the beginning of the match then tried to TK me for it. I knew then and there I should've just quit back to port. -
Feelings and facts are two entirely different things. Perhaps you should work on your RF aim and keep track of your reserves next time. Again, the situation was extremely in your favor and could've easily lost the enemy team the match. Enterprise has no issues combating DDs (in fact she just got buffed in that regard) and rips Saipan apart in a sniping duel as Saipan is based on a Balti hull, meaning she takes tons of citadels from E AP DBs.

Uptiered CV Implacable = Unplayable. GJ WG.

Meh, I encountered a Grozo in my last match. First strike, which I could do on my first approach thanks to glorious buff despite him having AA disabled, dealt 7k, cheesed DFAA via accel bailout. Proceeded to deal another 15k on my follow up strikes, almost killing him (he got killed by a teammate). Result? 3 RFs lost. Gj WG, pls give Enterprise more buffs. -
For CVs: - Haku is probably the best T10 CV now as she has big reserves and alpha strike. Her TBs are even more meh than before though considering you need a lot of time to reengage, inevitably losing most of your squad. - Midway is still pretty good when playing the DCP game, I'd place her as a close second. - Enterprise is still the best CV in the game. Even more hilarious they buffed her dramatically with the boost adjustment. For surface ships: - slingshot actually got more effective so beware - likewise island camping got a lot more dangerous - being in open water is still optimal - Kreml is now the ultimate AA ship

Still op. Because Enterprise has alpha strike and doesn't care about losses. -
All 3 of your screenshots show full or near full RF squadrons. The near full is only after you launched a full set of 12, meaning you actually had a full 20/20 reserve. So yeah, sorry I don't believe you.
-
Considering something like this should've been noticed during testing it could be a mod issue. Try to run vanilla and see if it happens again?
-
- tries to use Enterprise AP DBs against DDs - can't hit a DD with AA on with the easiest to use RFs in the game - uses TBs when full squad of RFs is still available - generally bad positioning and retreat path That's an easily winnable situation which could've cost the enemy team the match. That you couldn't is entirely on you.

torpedo bomber heal/ adrenaline rush issue in 8.5
El2aZeR replied to Mr_Snoww's topic in General Discussion
You mean when we have proven that CVs are among the top performers in high tiers? Here's something even more funny tho: When compared to stats one year ago reworked CVs heavily outperform their predecessors despite a larger playerbase. So if RTS CVs were overpowered, reworked CVs must objectively be even more so. And since WG believed RTS CVs to be overpowered, nerfing reworked CVs makes more than sense (for them). Regardless the AA adjustment is at least a partial admission that the rework is inherently broken as it directly attacks one of the fundamental mechanics of it, likely making some of them unplayable. My guess is we'll see some pretty substantial CV buffs next or they'll roll back the change after a short while since WG refuses to believe the rework is anything but a success. -
I'm not, I'm just saying any other T8 CV doesn't exactly have issues combating DDs that rush them either. GZ just has the extra level of safety (and memes) in her secondary guns, however that doesn't mean a DD will fare much better against any other CV assuming the CV player has achieved basic competence. Precisely this.
-
Is called outplay camrade. Perfectly balans. Seriously tho if a DD fails to kill you at point blank range then he deserves to die even more. If he's farther away than that he never had the advantage to begin with, meme secondaries or not.
-
Which ofc is complete hogwash as counterplay to shell fire and torps exist whereas counterplay to CVs is nonexistent. Whether you get hit by e.g. a torpedo or take big damage from shelling depends on yourself, whether you get hit by aircraft depends entirely on the CV player. So in essence you're being intellectually dishonest. Again. That's not what I was asking for. You said you have success in a Shima against CVs. I'd like to see that. Every other competent DD player is telling me that DDs are pretty much impossible to play against a competent CV, an experience I can only share. If you don't want to share proof of your apparent success, just say so. That just means however that your opinion on the subject is worthless since you can't back it up with evidence.
-
Funny, considering I'm not in violation of forum rules while you are. Posting stuff about Shima in the CV thread is extremely off topic. To steer this topic towards the original point however, I'd like to see proof of you doing well in Shima against a competent CV. Because every bit of data we have tells us that you've actually never had a good Shima match in your entire career neither on this account nor on your alt.
-
edit Because 1. Only a bad CV gets ambushed by a DD. 2. Only a bad CV dies in an ambush by a DD. 3. A bad CV never was worth ambushing in the first place. 4. You've wasted a ton of time attempting to ambush a bad CV, the perhaps most worthless member of the enemy team. This has an extremely high potential to lose your team the match by default. And ofc if the enemy CV doesn't happen to be incompetent 5. You've wasted a ton of time attempting to ambush a CV only to die to him in the process. This has an extremely high potential to lose your team the match by default. As such anyone who recommends ambushing a CV and says it is effective is just a straight up liar and should be considered as someone that's actively working towards sabotaging this game.

Which is assuming everyone is queuing at the same time, a scenario that is unlikely at best. And again, player numbers are stable across the board, naturally this includes the distribution across tiers. Meaning that players already having a preferred tier will be unlikely to move from it. No, I'm basing my conclusion off of previous attempts to make people play classes/tiers they don't want to play. Which either ended in whining that the playerbase couldn't get their rewards with their preferred ships or, if the reward wasn't good enough, ended up just completely ignored. There has been no scenario in which players shifted towards a different class without protest or ended up playing said class for a prolonged time beyond getting the reward. Whereas you're basing yours on nothing but hopes and dreams, completely ignoring what reality looks like.

Full broadside or ripple fire, which is better?
El2aZeR replied to howardxu_23's topic in General Discussion
Depends. If you want to saturate the target area ripple fire is better assuming you're changing your aim point between each shot. If you know where to aim and the target is giving you an opportunity to deal damage full broadside is better (because it gives the target less time to angle against all shells). Seen too many people waste their opportunity to deal damage because "omg stfu ripple fire looks cooler!"- 11 replies

20% would be a mere 6k players using your system, all online at different times and preferring to play different classes and tiers. So no, it won't. Even if you add more players, eventually you'll be at a point where MM is saturated because you're not changing the maximum number of players, and thus you're not changing the maximum amount of possible matches. And you will inevitably deal with less than 20% of players using your system because regardless of incentive most players will want to play the class they want to play atm and not spread themselves over several ships.
-
WoW has laughably more players than WoWs, pretty much any kind of MM system would work there. WoWs doesn't nearly have the same luxury. Just because something works in another game doesn't mean it will work in this one. So basically you're turning even more players off from using your system. It doesn't matter what rewards there are, players will want to play what they want as has been proven in the past. You also have to consider MM itself. If there is a ton of BBs in queue clogging MM up, do you really want to queue up in a cruiser when the chances of getting pure BB matches is extremely high? (Also depends on the cruiser but it might not be a good idea to grind something like an Omaha in such a situation e.g.) Rewards have been known to only shift a tiny part of the playerbase off their preferred class, this won't be any different.
