    As for CVs getting repeatedly nerfed, apparently they're still performing quite well considering they're generally equal or better than RTS ones in terms of statistics. So all that talk about reworked CVs being weak or weaker than RTS ones can go right out. Yes, CV average damage is down the drain. So what? All that tells us so far is that, like with RTS CVs, most people can't play the class effectively. The rework was intended to draw in the casual crowd who have never touched CVs before which inevitably has a negative effect on stats. In addition to that we no longer have all the people from OBT etc. to pad said stats. I mean players like Sharana, T3rrOrz, ezymodo and nemesis are still high up in the T10 RTS CV leaderbords with impressive numbers, but when was the last time you actually saw any of them play? The maximum potential of the class hasn't changed as evidenced by top CV player stats, so neither should emblem requirements. Now there are just fewer skilled CV players compared to before which is hardly surprising when you consider its target audience. Quite frankly all I'm seeing is "s can't play this one class, so we need to adjust requirements for its emblems". How about CV players take their own advice for once and "just git gud" if they want that shiny emblem so bad? Should we actually sympathize with these players just because there is no easy mode option like Monqueror to choose? That you actually have to be skilled to earn it? However even if the emblem requirements were too high (which imo they are not), with the rework constantly changing and likely remaining that way for the foreseeable future, giving players no time to acclimatize to the class whatsoever, there'd be no point in changing them now as you don't know where the class will end up next.

    Which quite frankly requires a complete revamp of flak mechanics as it is impossible with the current system. Not impossible per se but WG seems happy with how bug ridden and shoddy current flak mechanics are.

    No it shouldn't. If anything the behavior needs to be made to consistently go through islands as some islands will actually block AA whereas others won't. The reason is very simply. Flak animation and flak damage zone are two entirely separate things. If you block the animation that just means the damage zone turns invisible. Islands do NOT block flak damage zone creation.

    Comparing a playerbase of a pitiful 1,5k to a sample size over 10 times as large is hardly relevant. "Slight increase in accuracy" is what you believe, not what is fact. As for Yama and Repu, sample sizes of both are large enough to yield relevant data, as such relative population does not need to be considered.

    Except when comparing top 100 players performance 100 players out of ~1500 high tier CV players represents a far larger chunk of the population than 100 out of 16k. Which means the few guys with 170k+ avg damage in CVs are equal to a good chunk, if not all of the BB players with 140k avg damage percentage-wise. So having about 200 or so players out of ~1500 in CVs being capable of earning the highest level emblem should equal, what, 2100 or so in BBs assuming sufficient population and non-DoT farming playstyle? Sounds about right to me.

    Plane type in question were the RFs, I don't believe Kaga gets a lot of those to pad HP unlike with TBs and DBs? I mean, isn't this actually how it is supposed to be?

    Sounds about right, no? Have you ever even tried to account for relative population? Especially now when CV player numbers are in danger of falling below pre-rework levels?

    Except objectively speaking if their goal was to raise player numbers then the rework is a failure, considering, you know, that we're now down to roughly the same number of players as before with a potential drop still to come. Whether it will stay that way remains to be seen ofc, but I have no faith in WG to pull anything off in that regard.

    6 months doesn't exactly compare to nearly 48 months. Although yes, ofc the changes that reworked CVs experienced have to be accounted for as well. And they have been accounted for. Reworked CVs still outperform their predecessors. Too much focus on low HP targets. I like to win matches, not pad my average damage. You'll find that my average damage is among the lowest of top Midway players.

    Except a ton of that data is already several years old and does not account for the balancing adjustments made in that time period. Wrong, I contradicted you in your belief that reworked CVs perform worse than RTS CVs. This is only true in overall stats which is irrelevant due to the point above. In reality reworked CVs outperform RTS CVs slightly. As such statistics show that the requirements of the highest CV emblem doesn't need to change at all. Although while personally yes, I do believe 130k+ damage is fairly easy to get even post 0.8.5, that has nothing to do with the objective data contradicting your point.

    How does it change that they are objectively the weakest planes in terms of HP? And why should you be entitled to strike a dedicated AA cruiser 2 tiers above you with those?

    Did you miss the last bit or sth? Even in popularity reworked CVs are actually in danger of falling below RTS CVs if their decline in player numbers keeps up.

    Better question: Do you actually have one? Getting the emblem requires you to get 130k+ avg damage over your last 100 battles played, not just achieve 130k avg damage in general. Meaning that someone with 100k avg damage may very well have the emblem depending on the number of battles played.

    Seasonal stats show that reworked high tier CVs perform at the same level or better than RTS CVs while heavily outperforming all other classes. So when taking stats into account requirements for CV emblems should actually increase a bit to reflect their higher performance.
