So I can only ask again, what is the point of this thread? Are you here to complain about the accuracy of whatever ship you played? Is the shell penetration not good enough? Do you just want to on supposedly good players? Is this an out of season April Fools' joke?

Reminds me of something. S_O recently posted a rant on reddit where he addresses all the "haters" and such. Naturally that included accusations about devs not playing their own game which are "obviously wrong". Yeah, I'm sure they thoroughly tested the GZ DB change. Or any of the CV changes, really. That's why the CV rework doesn't have extreme bugs such as e.g. the autopilot not working! OH WAIT.

However if someone is deplaned after only 8 minutes in a mid or even top tier match you can't honestly tell me that this is the ship's fault. All CVs are capable of performing in such a scenario, whether the CV is "good" or "bad" just determines to what extend. There are very few AA monsters below T10 (because AA consistency is fixed camrade!) and I very much doubt the GZ had to face an enemy team consisting of solely JBs and such.

Then why should he be allowed to perform? In fact why should he be allowed to play this game at all? Unless you're capable of showing your teammates the common courtesy of actually trying to win instead of putting them at a disadvantage by selfishly playing for your own amusement I see absolutely no reason why anyone should be allowed to perform. Guess what, there is something called toxic gameplay. By "playing for fun" which runs contrary to "playing to win" you are in fact being toxic. That is a much, MUCH worse offense than being toxic in chat. Your loss. Fact remains your story holds no value.

GZ was deplaned within 8 mins according to you. Considering you were using an Indianapolis he was either top or mid tier. He also rushed a cap instead of hanging back and letting plane regen do its thing. And you stated that you shredded T8 planes with an Indianapolis, a ship that has trash AA against higher tier planes. From these little details we can easily deduce that both CVs were incredibly bad. As such your story in fact holds no worth to the discussion. You are allowed to state your opinion just like we are allowed to judge it as long as it is within forum rules. And judging your opinion to be worthless based on simple and undeniable facts is not an insult. Complete and utter bull. If you are incapable of making attack runs then you need to git gud. If you do not git gud you should not be allowed to perform. Easy as that. Statistics prove that skilled CV players are still doing very well. Any and all difficulty with playing the class thus MUST entirely lie with you. 1001 high tier CV players. 1064 low tier CV players. Slightly less than last week.

If you haven't noticed, that isn't against forum rules. Going off topic like you (again) meanwhile is. So tell me, why exactly shouldn't a GZ that can't even dodge flak not get punished? Unless you can give an acceptable reason the story above is quite frankly irrelevant to any discussion.

It's terrible for a reason as otherwise other classes wouldn't stand a chance. The last time WG introduced a low-mid tier BB with good accuracy it became so ludicrously overpowered it outperformed ships 2 tiers higher easily.

Indeed, however the point was that it is actually possible to do so, not whether it is efficient. Without a replay it's kinda hard to tell whether you're doing anything wrong. Although it is undeniable that player quality has been especially abysmal these last few days.

Honestly I'm at a loss. What did I miss pray tell? Except this is your personal subjective opinion which you're ofc allowed to have. Presenting it as fact however when it is thoroughly untrue goes way beyond that. What is actually fact is Haku is not only far from unplayable, she is generally acknowledged as the strongest T10 CV among skilled CV players. If you can't make her work and/or if you have no fun while playing her, that's entirely on you. And no, breaking balance just so players like you can have an easier or more fun time should never be considered as this is a PvP game. Your fun inevitably comes at the expense of someone else, as such balance is paramount and trumps personal enjoyment. Deal with it.

While @Operation_Crossroads_1's statements certainly aren't 100% accurate, that doesn't invalid his point. It is utterly wrong to state that DDs reap higher potential rewards than CVs for their higher potential risk due to the particular characteristics of CV attacks as outlined in his post. Fact remains CVs are far more accurate, attack far more often and as such are far more reliable than DD torpedoes. This outright negates their supposed lack of alpha strike (which btw can still be substantial depending on the CV you play. Or to put it bluntly, you picked the wrong CV line when you went for the Royal Navy ones).

Except using island cover, stealth advantage, and angling is actually how these ships are meant to be played. Attacking a heavy AA blob meanwhile is a misplay and should be punished for no rewards at all considering all other advantages CVs currently hold. Or should it? Fundamental rework mechanics kinda run contrary to that, but that would hardly be balanced, no? Aka the very way this rework is designed means it cannot be balanced. Also didn't some CV players advocate that surface ships should all sail in heavy AA blobs to protect themselves from reworked CVs? And yet now that it more or less does, they're suddenly mad about it? Not even gonna bother with your ignorance, but you do realize the point of a discussion forum, right? Also why are you still here? Didn't you preach that we shouldn't be upset about anything in this game considering it is "just a game"? To go outside, get a life and chase skirts? Yet here you are, being upset at the game. Why not take your own advice? "It's just a game dude." Honestly I just didn't feel like typing a wall of text, but since you asked for it... As it stands Haku is currently the strongest T10 CV.

Actually all you need is a roughly equal/higher HP pool and similar speed. Midway, Haku and Audacious strike craft are more than capable of providing that. As for T8 CVs, perhaps it is for the best that they can't actually strike such AA concentrations? You know, because of the balance that some CV players here like to advocate? For actual damage dealt, that's wasn't the point. The strike was obviously going to be ineffective and I never intended it to be (if I wanted effectiveness I would've just struck the Lion on the far edge). What this proves however is that the run could've easily been made with e.g. Midway TiTs for fairly effective damage gain. Sacrificing 9 planes against 4 other ships with medium to heavy AA (along with, well, a Musashi) for any kind of meaningful damage gain quite frankly strikes me as extremely favorable for the CV. Is Enterprise overpowered? Certainly, but to dismiss the above example on that basis seems ignorant at best.
