    Irrelevant. In fact if you want to count with fighter reserves reworked Midway comes out way ahead at almost 150 aircraft. Fact remains remains reworked CVs are way harder to deplane especially when considered how weak reworked AA is in comparison. Completely pointless. Average player dies to flak anyway. Pointless as it is ineffective and actually makes you lose. Just because the theoretical capability exists doesn't mean everything is fine. Yeah, no. This is just so horrendously wrong I won't even try. Again, just because the theoretical capability exists doesn't make everything okay. Reworked CVs are actively designed to mostly ignore each other in pretty much every possible way. You could actually straight up remove summoned fighters or even the entire CV hull from the map with negligible impact on CV play, that's how pointless they are. And waste a charge I need to cheese catapult fighters with? No thanks. Ironically the only reason that fighters can be used currently to protect teammates if you just happen to be in the right spot is because they're so worthless. Make aggro time pretty much instant on the other hand and they become an offensive tool too precious to waste them on teammates. Besides, another mechanic without counterplay? Really? You may as well just introduce a dumb button with which you can delete planes in range at will for CVs too. This pretty much.

    Yes, currently this tends to work only on low-mediocre AA ships. But if I had some sort of escort with which I could pretty much instantly attack other nearby planes with I would most definitely not use them to chase down the enemy CV.

    This is incorrect. That's actually about 10 more strike planes than she used to have. Rest of the reserves were taken up by fighters. You actually think I'm dumb enough to attack straight into fighters, do you? Let me tell you a little something. By actively trying to protect teammates you are actually trying very hard to put your team behind. Fighters can be cheesed and every second you don't spend striking while I do is more and more damage which you haven't dealt. The few losses I take to your fighters are inconsequential as these would've likely died to AA anyway. Assuming the enemy CV isn't stupid such an endeavour will end with you deplaned rather than the enemy CV dead. Ironically reworked fighters are superb for defending your own CV. Your teammates tho? Not so much. Or I could just use them to cheese catapult fighters all the time. Again, attempting to actively protect the team is damage the enemy CV deals while you do nothing. Unless you can do both at close to the same time such a mechanic would be pointless.

    Torp range back then actually played a much bigger role. While the general rule of thumb was that you need to get within 10km for torps to be effective, 15-20km torps did afford you some pretty decent flexibility if needed. And ofc they were pretty funny against BBabies, which is precisely why they got nerfed.

    As others have said, drop either SI or DE (depends on what you deem more valuable, but if you're gonna keep that captain for Seattle/Worcester definitely drop DE) for CE once you get another point on your captain. I also prefer to use the acceleration upgrade instead of the ruddershift one as you're gonna be stationary/slow speed a lot, but that's probably more down to personal preference.

    Given that you have repeatedly stated even during testing where you could annihilate T10 BBs within a single minute that reworked CVs are totally balanced your opinion doesn't have much worth. Or if I need to remind you: This is what you labeled as balanced.

    Imo the issue is the fundamental framework of the current CV implementation rather than the game not having accommodating gamemodes. Very true, but imo killing potatoes was never really a problem anyway.

    Highly doubt it. Any VIP mode tends to be made obsolete by a high alpha precision class which CVs represent. Likewise respawns are pointless due to the nature of the gamemode. Any respawning ship will need an unreasonable amount of time to rejoin the battle unlike in e.g. CoD. I very much doubt that given how other games handle bots in PvP. This is very true.

    CoD actually. In BF pretty much everything is player controlled. And CoD has quick respawns in most gamemodes which makes getting killed by bot controlled killstreaks more acceptable.

    Not a smart move to quote the whole sentence when you plan on ignoring part of it. WG has no interest in advancing player skill, as such this kinda becomes a moot point. DCP, heal, positional and risk management. Your failure to understand that if a counter ceases longer exists that means players cannot adapt is kinda funny, I'll give you that. Your failure to understand genre preferences and other reasons why people prefer to play whatever games is equally hilarious. Most of the calculation in AP are completely made in the background, as such are actually not all that much more interactive than HE shells. Also RNG factor with AP shells does in fact exist and HE shells do not ignore internal armor. Which given WG's own projections, the current popularity of the game as well as its development over the years is just plain wrong. Inability to comprehend what has been written does not equal inability to copy and paste. Let me highlight what you've been missing: The developer actually. Hence why your bid was pointless in the first place even if you were right.

    This implies that the AA of AA heavy ships is somehow weak without sector reinforcement. That is not the case. There is no need to use the new AA key if the CV attacks from obscure angles. Likewise MAA outright negates any downsides to it. You're also forgetting the existence of DFAA. The question will always be how many attacks you can get off per squad. As it stands most AA heavy ships will usually overkill a squadron after their first attack, meaning a slight adjustment downwards actually doesn't do anything.

    And the game completely ignores this and will continue to do so because it does not strive to be a simulator. In fact most class roles in the game run completely contrary to their historical ones. There is a difference between adhering to basic realism/being intuitive and being a simulator. Your inability to deal with DoT is irrelevant. Stealth fire was removed because its primary counterplay option, aka CV scouting, was practically removed from the game back then by murdering its playerbase. And since DoT still has counterplay options available that's actually an argument to keep it. Precisely why fun is irrelevant when it comes to a PvP game ironically as it is a zero sum thing. It's designed so that the winner has fun while the loser doesn't. Hence why fairness and balance should take priority. Funny, considering all you've put forth so far is "I don't like it". Except yours is objectively inferior. Why? Because it reaches a smaller audience, as such is less profitable. Or you could learn to read. Precisely why your ideas are being dismissed. Your views do not represent those of the relevant playerbase nor of the developer.

    You are severely overestimating the effort of just looking in one direction and pressing a button, something that can easily be done in a split second. Also the automation is still all there, so this is just an extra AA buff added on top. It doesn't represent a radical change in mechanics.

    Pressing one button for instant success is the most minimal interaction one can have in a game. This is why most games avoid such mechanics because for the grand majority of game designers this doesn't even constitute as something interactive. As such I fail to see how this makes people "do sth" nor how this is a good solution to anything.

    No he doesn't. He's objectively one of the worst players to ever play this game. Likewise Asashio is objectively complete garbage. Doubloons can be converted into credits. Just saying.

  24. It's more for positioning your hull closer to the front lines to ensure optimal strike efficiency. The extra concealment on your planes doesn't really help all that much.
