    Dunno where this notion comes from. Historically aircraft were among the best sub killers out there. And if they play anything like in the event they're gonna be far too easy to kill via aircraft. Funnily enough the only way a sub could threaten a CV is if subs are generally overpowered.

    The bombs?! He must've gotten very lucky to get them to arm. Even at minimum drop altitude it's not guaranteed. I just molest Atlantas and Flints with rockets. Quite fun seeing all their HP evaporate in just a few runs. It's not like those few losses hurt either thanks to glorious balans. So basically "it was those filthy unicums all along?"

    Again, average damage is worthless on its own. Even WG knows that, hence why they don't use it as a balancing factor. What matters is effective damage and yours is clearly sub-par as can be easily seen from a combination of average damage and kills per match. 20k damage and a kill on a DD may not look great on your stats, but it will generally help you much more in winning matches which is what the game ultimately centers on. Farming 150k damage on a BB which survives meanwhile looks great for your average damage but is ultimately worthless in most scenarios. Wanna know what also happens all the time? Matches in which you don't need to lift a finger to win. This is why AFKers and the like can get 30-40% WR. In the end though with a sufficient sample size the amount of inevitable wins and losses eventually even out, giving you a fairly accurate reflection of your contribution to a given team. Your sample size is clearly sufficient enough.

    People spouting that CVs are weaker than before (or deal less damage, have less match influence, etc.) when in reality their playerbase is just more ed now. Btw if you want to know how it feels like to play against me, you could just ask @RDYSET or @xxNihilanxx. They have a bit of experience in that.

    You should actually meet more CVs than before. This is because the playerbase has been condensed into fewer tiers, inevitably increasing the "encounter rate" so to speak. Actual player numbers are down the drain tho.

    In a large enough sample size the wins and losses you couldn't influence will even out as outlined in the topic itself I believe (haven't bothered to read it in its entirety for quite some time, could be wrong). This is why having a sufficient sample size is important.

    And with that you have ignored your own advice. Average damage is a completely worthless metric on its own. High average damage while every other stat is garbage does NOT make you a good player. It proves the exact opposite.

    I'm gonna move this here before we delve further into off topic in the other thread. On what objective facts do you base that on? I'm seriously starting to question why I even bother fact checking, experimenting and documenting things that clearly show reworked CV do not represent any kind of objective improvement over RTS ones when people still cling to their stubborn beliefs regardless.     Ofc it has. The number of actually skilled CV players have been culled down from a couple hundred to maybe two dozen, if even that. Aka most CVs you meet are *EDIT* (let's avoid generalisations) - Teob Numbers are freely available. Just compare the leaderboards on maplesyrup. With the rework utterly mediocre players are in the top 100 en masse which is unprecedented. You do realize that this is a general CV buff, right? A unicum CV now doesn't need to bother shutting you down either. It represents an improvement to the situation only in the most selfish sense while every other ship class has to suffer for it. To say that this isn't ideal would be an understatement. Besides, if the goal was to actually narrow down the skill gap then I'm sorry, but the results of bad players has actually worsened with the rework according to available statistics.

    Are people really this resistant to facts? Really, why do I even bother? Hint: A game that can't be carried in a reworked CV can certainly not be carried in a RTS CV either.

    Because liking or disliking something means all the objective reasons as to why one iteration is better or worse than the other go flying straight out of the window. WG has collected quite a large list of failures in the past, every time promising to improve. Improvement has yet to come. The CV rework also clearly shows that WG is operating on a schedule rather than ensuring that whatever they're working on is ready for release. Whatever higher ups at WG are more than willing to enforce deadlines at our expense. I have little doubt that it's going to be any different with subs. Will subs kill the game? Probably not. This is still a monopoly after all, as such WG can largely do whatever they want. Does this mean subs will inevitably fail? Maybe, but one has to be mad to have any kind of confidence in WG after all their ups. Reserving judgement until after a proper presentation of mechanics is well and good, however one would think implementing brand new mechanics would take a backseat to fixing current mechanics. At least one can condemn that. That they have the audacity to ask for our trust is just an outright slap to the face on top.

Just stop. Gameplaywise - Ohio/Pobeda/Georgia are not glass cannons, far from it - H44 is an absolute no go and likewise are Kuznetsov and Long Beach. The former is an insult to naval engineering and would present massive powercreep ingame, the latter two are too modern. You might as well ask for Habakkuk, at least that thing already exists in the game apparently - adding new CVs when CV rework balancing is about to be completely reset would be foolish at best No.

    Yeah, no. CVs prior to 0.8.5 were a complete and utter distaster. 0.8.5 onwards is still a disaster, but less so than before. Also "AA is so much better now" LOL.

  20. This has little to no impact on their economy because extremely few players actually bought flags using real money. "Many" being like 20-40 battles for a high tier ship. Economic benefits are already being given out on too high of a basis. We need the economy to be harsher, not more accessible.

    Samar and HMS Glorious. Just saying. Two exceptions may not prove the rule but generally speaking the timespan in which CVs and surface ships coexisted as decisive battle entities was fairly small, so there are bound to be fewer cases in which a CV gets caught out by surface ships. To say there is no historical precedence tho is wrong. And CVs didn't even really exist at Jutland, Tsushima etc. Kinda obvious that they didn't participate. Subs on the other hand...
