Increases DPS by 1,5x, increases flak DPS by 4x. Does nothing to increase the amount of flak bursts or at least it doesn't say in its description. I believe WG regards flak as being useful. It prevents the bad players from playing effectively. Likewise flak can't be improved due to the way it works and if it didn't work the way it does the rework itself falls apart. DFAA will never be 3x. Reason is the same why they murdered AA in 0.8.7. Reworked CVs were in danger of going completely extinct (aka even more extinct than RTS CVs). They've enjoyed roughly the same popularity for quite some time if you take the snapshot from the last week of RTS gameplay (otherwise reworked CVs were just straight up inferior in population for the most part). You should remember what they implied on the CC summit. If CVs are falling in popularity, they will buff them regardless of balance. Well, here we are. Basically WG is refusing to admit that the rework is a complete and utter failure and tries desperately to keep it alive in any way possible, disregarding everything else. - implying there were any real AA monsters to begin with

It does by a measily 1,5 factor. And that's by design. However even if it did by 2x like back then it wouldn't reach DPS levels we've seen prior to 0.8.7.

Well, get ready for a pure BB fest then because BBs are the best AA class by a huge margin currently. To put this into perspective Minotaur which I believe is currently the best AA cruiser has a combined base DPS of ~678 which is almost 100 DPS behind the Iowa and pretty much the same AA as the Kremlin. Montana outclasses Iowa by ~30 DPS I believe, making her the outright best AA ship in the game (not counting CVs) which is still 300-400 DPS behind what AA ships used to be able to put out before 0.8.7. Worcester is ~50 DPS behind Minotaur while DM has about the same AA as a NC at 489. Grozo is easily outclassed by T6 AA and falls into the T5 bracket so DD AA is completely dead. Is this really what you really, REALLY want?

If the ships are shooting at your teammates you are no longer the only one spotting them. The moment an enemy ship opens fire on a teammate in range, that teammate will automatically spot said enemy ship as well.

New population data is out, although that's without the impact of 0.8.7. Reworked CVs as of 2019/08/24 HT: 990 LT: 1307 Total: 2297 As a reminder: Last snapshot RTS CVs 2019/01/26 HT: 992 LT: 1228 Total: 2220 Yeah, buffing CVs to be ridiculously op again makes sense from WG's perspective I suppose. Also just yesterday: *see Smolensk* *dev strike* Dunno why there is such an outcry about that ship. Seems perfectly balanced to me.

Until you realize Kidd AA has been murdered I suppose. Hint: Dallas has about the same AA now while Pensa outclasses her heavily. Welcome to the T6 AA bracket. And if you think Grozo is going to be any better at T10, don't worry. Devs have ensured you'll be miserable with your T5 AA. She has worse AA than Kidd by quite a margin. DD AA is dead.

So many myths about CVs here. Allow me to put some of them to rest. - a CV does in fact take increased damage per tick from fires. However the percentage difference is minuscule (0,4% to 0,3% for surface ships), so in reality CVs take way less damage from a full duration fire (2% base of total HP vs 9% for cruisers/DDs and 18% for BBs). Thus to kill a CV with pure fire damage you'd need more than 50 fires - dodging does not work against halfway skilled CV players nowadays. As of 0.8.7 reworked CVs have even fewer counterplay options compared to before and they never had any practical ones to begin with - only bad CV players let themselves get killed by long range BB fire on a even remotely regular basis

You sure? Can you give a source? I'm fairly certain that they've stated only NTC "premium ships" can be subject to nerfs. Nothing about steel, coal or free exp ships.

You're bound to get focused as a cruiser these days. Damage certainly doesn't seem to be your issue, however effective damage is different. E.g. 50k damage on DDs is more likely to win you the match than 100k damage on BBs. Usually you can tell how much effective damage you deal by looking at a combination of average damage and kills per match. However because you don't have a representative amount of matches played in general it's kinda hard to tell what exactly you're doing wrong at this point. Perhaps providing some replays would help.

Neither is a representative amount of matches played tbh. Also it would appear that your effective damage is rather low, meaning your match impact inevitably suffers.

Just seen @Allied_Winter captain one. I was mildly disgusted at how he practically deleted two DDs immediately at the start of a match. And that's saying something considering I was in an Enterprise. -
It's one click. Literally a click. A click that can't be counterplayed but on the other hand is largely worthless anyway. Minimum required interaction is not skill.

Which is still irrelevant. Good players have proven that objectively T4 CVs weren't weak.

CVs are op again because WG murdered AA DPS. This may only apply to players who can dodge flak as WG has buffed flak damage.

And you're clearly wrong. A basic stats comparison reveals good T4 CV players are only slightly behind some of the most powerful seal clubbing T4 ships, which given that they face practically no opposition seems more than fair to me.
