Terrible advice. Reasons are very simple. - 3km is actually distant enough for all RFs to make an attack regardless of angle, 2.5km meanwhile is only enough for TiTs to get a guaranteed strike, for everyone else it depends on the angle - Activating both sector reinforcement and DFAA means the enemy squad can just quickly boost over to your weak side. This outright negates the increase in DPS DFAA provides - Ironically by using accel bail such a strategy can be cheesed since no flak will be spawned - DPS is simply not high enough to instantly vaporize squads. Depending on the first approach angle taking one or two attacks is inevitable which given Friesland's limited HP pool can easily mean half your HP gone Then you're simply wrong. Flak walls have a maximum width regardless of how many bursts are spawned. Thus flak that is impossible to dodge simply doesn't exist. Besides, even if it did the best way to dodge flak is to not having to dodge it at all. Because flak is fixed in intervals, duration and time to hit that makes it easily cheeseable. @OP: Take BFT on a BB with good base AA and a fighter plane. That is about the only thing you can do against CVs without sacrificing surface battle capability. You'll still die tho.

Say hi to the Chinese server. More info can be obtained on Farazelleth's discord.

People are primarily against the new submarines because the preliminary gameplay looks boring. People are primarily against CVs because they're objectively overpowered and have no counterplay. That you even lump these two together shows how informed your opinion is. Untrue, otherwise we would've likely not seen many of the changes this game has experienced. WoWs is a monopoly, there is no other successful game in this specific niche. Thus WG can do pretty much whatever they want with this game and always have players playing it. You know, as they have done so continuously. If this game actually had stiff competition WG wouldn't be able to disregard their community.

Ate a flak burst or two I'd reckon. Karlsruhe does get a single one.
-
From what I've seen they're either difficult to citadel or outright immune. Haven't extensively tested it tho. Regardless tho the torp belt alone makes them superior.
-
NC has a terrible torp belt and eats cits from Shokaku, so she's a meh choice.

So because this game is not realistic I have no reason to play it? Really? Perhaps I play it because the gameplay is fun (for me)? I play CVs. A lot. And pretty successfully if I may say so. Nothing that has been previously described in this or any other topic would work against me.

And with that you have automatically invalidated everything you've just said. The reason is rather simple. CVs and AA have changed. For example the Grozovoi is no longer the most powerful AA DD. It doesn't even make it into the top 3 in fact. Grozo base AA is so bad it makes T6 ships laugh. The 2nd most powerful AA DD is the Kidd, a DD that has the same base AA as some T6 ships. Friesland is the only DD with somewhat usable AA left and even she only reaches about the base same effectiveness as a Colorado if I remember correctly. And well, even back in May all the things you describe quite frankly didn't work against skilled CV players. Quite literally the sole reason it was successful is because skilled CV players are practically non-existent as can be proven by a quick look into the top 100 on maplesyrup. (Also with proper heal timing a second attack is almost always possible. Just saying.) As for DDs, WASD and you won't take damage. For spotting you have teammates. CVs meanwhile can do practically everything themselves and need not to rely on their teammates for anything but the most basic of things. See the difference?

Why do you think I play CVs?
-
No, you may not. Because that'd be a lie. I hope you realize this game features WW2 ships doing several 100km/h speed, WW2 planes which fly faster than mach 1, ships the size of several kilometers and so forth and so on. Realistic is the last word to describe this game. Shokaku has weaker planes than even stock Lexington. And quite frankly if you're playing stock then that's your own fault.
-
Man, all this flak I'm flying into. CVs clearly unplayable, pls buff. Oh Christ. You're not supposed to use torps against DDs.
-
Guess what, this is not a simulator. This is a PvP game. Balance and the possibility of counterplay is crucial in a PvP game. And I still don't see you telling us how to counterplay CVs. Perhaps because it isn't possible? Yeah, no.
-
No wonder. From that sentence alone I can tell you're doing it wrong.
-
Lets check this claim, shall we? A Clemson puts out approx. 22 total DPS with BFT skilled. A Hosho TB with SE skilled has 1480 HP while AA reduces damage taken from DPS by 10%. Total squad HP is 8880. A Clemson therefore needs 74 seconds to kill a single Hosho TB. Killing the entire squad requires 444 seconds, aka almost 7 1/2 minutes. A Hosho meanwhile regenerates a TB every 56 seconds. Thus a Hosho actually regenerates planes faster than a Clemson can kill them.

Yes it is. Sincerely, one of the best CV players on this server. And there is a ton you or your teammates can do against DD torps. That you're even complaining about those says plenty.
-
Yeah, no. Try again.
-
Weird how this is missing from your post.
-
Again, why? Given all the facts stacked against your claim one would think you'd have some reasonable arguments to defend it. If you don't, well, that just makes it a blatant lie, doesn't it?
-
And how, pray tell, do you counter CVs?
-
So where do real man play at? ☆ (tier)

SHOKAKU UNPLAYABLE IN T10 MATCHES! PLANES MELT SO FAST OMG!! -
If you want AA you're gonna need to pick Massachusetts or Alabama. T8 cruisers are especially vulnerable to CVs.
-
Not on balans CVs.
-
There are no such ships. Due to the very nature of reworked CVs any kind of counterplay that works is a misplay on part of the CV player, not an outplay on part of the surface ship. Thus if you cannot strike something in a CV it just means you're a bad CV player, not that the enemy surface ship has outplayed or countered you.
