    Shokaku may actually be more powerful than Midway nowadays which would make her the 3rd most powerful CV in the game. Her issue is a fairly high skill floor but other than that she has no real weaknesses. Haku and E just do the same things as her but better.

    This is probably the question you need to ask yourself: Flak isn't just decorative. You need to dodge/preempt it. AP bombs have actual ballistics now. Whether you score a citadel hit or not can depend on your drop altitude.

    Being a veteran does not necessarily mean being skilled as this game proves. There are players who don't learn a single thing even after 10k battles played.

    Honestly though I'm pretty happy with spending money on AL. They actually make me feel like they value me as a customer. You know, UNLIKE SOME OTHER DEVS.

    We'd be talking about literally milliseconds and AA that can't shoot down planes as fast as Hosho regenerates. So I seriously doubt that's going to be an issue.

    Yes. TB speed nerf is only on returning planes so that has no impact. 40kn torps doesn't really change anything because they haven't nerfed the arming distance, so time to impact remains the same. Basically WG just wants it to look like they're doing sth when in reality they're doing nothing.

    Woah, I don't think I have ever seen a thread being moved TO the gameplay section before. :D On topic: Reason why there are few to no events for new players is quite simple I believe. WoWs has saturated its target audience as can be seen in the playernumbers being very stable for years. Therefore the number of new players is way smaller compared to the number of veterans, so it doesn't make economic sense to create events targeted at new players.

    Just got home. See AL Crosswave event started today. Already at 91%. lolwut Also Essex and Enterprise skins finally hit CN server. If you listen closely you can hear the sound of my wallet crying. EDIT: Oh wait, it actually counts down from 100%. That makes more sense I suppose. :D

    That is not how f2p games work. Also ironically when this game had a harsher economy it also had a larger population.

    While the idea of capping the amount of coop battles is ofc terrible, the OP has a point. The abysmal playerbase is the absolute worst part of this game. And to say they're not being punished for failing would be an understatement. But ofc nothing will be done about it since it earns WG money.

    They're also stupidly easy to dodge, meaning you'll get one or two hits usually. Not to mention their handling is terrible. Doesn't matter. What matters is time to target at which IJN torps are superior due to faster torp speed.

    About 1800 battles total according to wows-numbers. 43 players last week according to maplesyrup, with only 3 players in the top 10 having more than 20 battles. And you outperform all but the very top player by a pretty hefty margin.
