No it doesn't. Taking any position except completely open water favors the CV. Even being out in the open favors the CV. WASD doesn't work if the CV knows what they're doing and attempting to ambush aircraft immediately puts them in a favorable position. Nice lie dude. Again.
-
- Positioning - WASD - Use cover/objectives to ambush You do realize there was a time when DDs could stealth fire and radar didn't exist, right?
-
Obviously, but if that's okay then we never would've needed to move from the RTS iteration in the first place. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
Ah. Well, kinda worthless anecdote in terms of a balancing discussion but ok. Also did you just change your name? Got confused for a second. EDIT: Ah, I see you switched to your alt. Nevermind.
-
That was not your claim. You claimed it is balanced. How so?
-
And how exactly is it balanced that you can simply strike massed AA? Doesn't that defeat the point of having AA in the first place?
-
Neither did I ever have any issues against skilled divisions. There are some easy ways around massed AA. Even semi-skilled players seem to do well enough in her. Thus it is a fair assumption that she's simply suffering from Enterprise syndrome. Skilled players have mostly left, leaving potatoes to drag her stats down. And here's a better question, why should anyone care about your failings in CVs?
-
Just E. Although maybe Shokaku is a better pick towards the end of the grind due to Massachusetts/Alabama spam in rank <5. I'm actually a bit sad I can't terrorize ranked players anymore. Should've intentionally thrown some matches just to stay longer. T_T

You are not being penalized. Being pink is a warning (as it says in the message). As long as teamkilling isn't commonplace with you there is nothing to worry about.

Just because that applies to you doesn't mean it applies to everyone else. Ranked out in 16 battles, 3 losses (one *insert known potato clan here* div, one all BBs suiciding, one gigantic throw). High caliber was earned in 14/16 matches. Was never in danger of losing a star. Balans.
-
Again, no it doesn't. The only thing that can defeat a skilled CV is their own team ironically.
-
Actually that depends on the code. There is one for Hosho as well. Also ranked sprint is a show. The moment the team with the more skilled CV player gets a cap the game is lost for the opposing team because they can't offset how fast a CV kills them anymore.
-
If you're a new player teams are reduced in size to coop/ranked level. New player codes also includes a free T4 CV. Not surprised at all that new player queue is flooded with them.
-
Practically binged Shield Hero. Also Dr. Stone is pretty good. So much so in fact that I went straight for the manga after catching up. Although the protagonist does suffer from a rather severe case of "protagonist hair"-syndrome.
-
Well, I highly doubt Daring is the most popular DD while Haku is likely the most popular T10 CV due to being the most powerful one. And even then Haku has less than 100 players more. So that doesn't say much imo.
-
Or CVs are just that unpopular.
-
Just a reminder what issues WG identified with RTS CVs btw. Objectively speaking: High difficulty - arguably still true as average playerbase does not comprehend anything but ezmode Low popularity - popularity now similar to RTS High impact - it is possible to reach solo WRs higher than RTS now AA system - unlike before impact of AA completely dependent on CV player, surface ship has no influence whatsoever Disconnect from gameplay - CVs are more disconnected than ever before, not having a single active team utility while not engaging in combat with the opposing CVs either AA builds/skills worthless - now even more worthless than ever before, not due to low popularity of CVs but because the increase in AA is useless 10/10 total success camrade.

Apparently we're getting an early war US CA in KC. -
I'm sure SOMEONE would have a lot to write about CV secondary usage here. Too bad he can't.
-
You: Personal opinions hold no relevancy. Also you: My personal opinion must be the truth. This isn't even intellectual dishonesty anymore. You're just blatantly lying at this point.
-
Ah, so now it's a fleet engagement. At which point you can: - utilize concealment in addition to spotting from more stealthy allies - flank/provide a crossfire - make use of the ordinance your teammates throw at it Among other things. Also something that utterly fails against CVs.
-
If a Conq is close enough to have to utilize her minimum concealment you're in range to fire back effectively as well. You know, unlike CVs where you have no real means to fight back whatsoever.
-
Positioning and concealment for starters? Honestly I question whether the rework has been financially successful at all. Premium CVs clearly aren't flying off the shelf and WG lost plenty of trust with veteran players. Leaving that as the status quo can't be in their interest.
-
And yet, does their rarity make detonations any less frustrating? Bad experiences tend to stay with people longer than good ones. Hence why everyone was complaining about the 9000 apm inhuman crossdropping RTS CV and never about the can't-even-find-the-alt-key auto-dropping potato. Or alternatively it is rare to meet a cheater in a game with a good anti-cheat system but that doesn't make it acceptable. Generally speaking the more invested you are in effort and time the more willing you'll be to spend money on it. Meanwhile someone who goes full rush B every single time just to look at some fancy explosions and gunfire is unlikely to ever invest anything. This is actually a proven principle in f2p games. However it can be argued that the potato who learned nothing over 15k games is just as invested as the most super of super unicums. Deciding which group to cater to tends to decide the longevity of the game. Games like Counter-Strike and StarCraft catered to their most skilled players, hence why their original versions are still played today. WG meanwhile enjoy the advantage of having a monopoly with WoWs, so they can pretty much do whatever they want and choose which group they want to cater to without any pressure.
-
Is it though? According to the chat in the matches I play I'm making people uninstall left and right. Seriously though, if it were widely accepted we wouldn't see complaints popping up everywhere. Say hi to 90+% WR since 0.8.7. I'm probably the reason E got pulled. This is actually not how f2p games work since the vast majority will never pay anything. Instead of building a core playerbase out of the veterans and most dedicated players though WG seems to have chosen to make quick cash off of the more... speshul players instead.
