Open Letter To War Gaming/WoWs - Double CV Games
El2aZeR replied to rilship's topic in General Discussion
I have met such DD players. Even in 3x superunicum top clan smoke train AA divs. It's kinda inevitable when you play a couple thousand CV matches. They died. Horribly. If they didn't then I simply didn't have enough time to kill them one way or another. Fact is a unicum DD automatically becomes equal to a potato if he focuses on survival, which is mutually exclusive with focusing on being useful. As such you have negated his match impact simply by existing. Which would be true if DD torpedoes were guided and had a near 100% hitrate. Guess what, they're not. There are very viable and widely available counterplay options across all classes against DDs. That you're even drawing such a ludicrous comparison speaks volumes.- 211 replies

Open Letter To War Gaming/WoWs - Double CV Games
El2aZeR replied to rilship's topic in General Discussion
Except if he wants to be useful he won't be near a cruiser or BB. As such I don't need to kill him as he goes from a priority target to an irrelevant one. An attack wing less still means up to half his HP gone at least, easily enough to decide any engagement he takes in the favor of my team. And if he becomes relevant later on and is still hugging a cruiser/BB being useless? Well, nothing prevents me from killing his teammate to expose him either. Point is if he does play in such a way sure, he may survive for longer. He's actively shafting his team tho so that doesn't matter, the CV wins regardless. There is literally no need to play a DD at all in such a scenario.- 211 replies

Open Letter To War Gaming/WoWs - Double CV Games
El2aZeR replied to rilship's topic in General Discussion
He can't kill anything while sitting in smoke near his spawn. If he starts shooting, moving out or as soon as his smoke fades he will die for nothing. If your team is very speshul and the enemy team is not you never had a chance to win that match to begin with. Even reworked CVs can't carry that.- 211 replies

Open Letter To War Gaming/WoWs - Double CV Games
El2aZeR replied to rilship's topic in General Discussion
Making himself unappealing is equal to making himself useless, so I win in that scenario regardless. Whether he makes it into a cap with all/most HP intact depends entirely on his spawning position relative to mine and his DD teammates and is thus nothing more than RNG. Doesn't work except with a select few ships and even then it depends on the attack angle. Said ships are also completely helpless to prevent a second run which will inevitably connect so that doesn't really matter. Most DDs can in fact be attacked on the first pass. You only need 2.5 - 3km distance to pull that off with all RFs, which is exactly the air spotting range most DDs have.- 211 replies

Any maneuvers you do the CV can adjust for at a far faster rate than you can.- 211 replies

Except he isn't. Any kind of perceived counterplay against CVs starts with "pray that the enemy CV is terrible" and is as such not really counterplay.- 211 replies

Favorite shipgirl (Kancolle,Azur lane, Arpeggio of blue steel,Haifuri)

I don't blame you. That's USS Bunker Hill. She drops in world 13 which isn't out on EN yet and she doesn't seem to be very popular with artists either. Sure wonder why. I like her design. -

New players have protected MM until they reach a certain tier or a certain account level. Bots in randoms is normal for them.
-
Except it completely disproves it. You're playing a lower tier CV which has among the most fragile planes of its tier, yet a supposed top tier AA ship can only down 3 planes? Of which you regenerated one immediately upon launching your squad and one while executing the attack with another in the process, meaning that said top tier "AA ship" effectively had no impact at all? That's your idea of "not super weak"? Except it's not like that at all, isn't it? After all you said just in another thread that you know how DB aiming works along with how to exploit it, so any maneuvers a surface ship may make is going to be meaningless since you will be able to adjust accordingly. Unless ofc you lied. Not the first time I suppose, but that would just be an issue with your ability with the initial point remaining the same, no?
-
Spotting damage barely even gets rewarded. There is literally no way to accumulate enough to reach high exp scores without doing plenty of percentage damage as well. Oh? So you mean to say what you posted isn't a perfect example of AA being completely worthless along with proving the extremely high damage potential of CVs?
-
You know what is actually funny? You disproving your own narrative.
-
Except AA was reworked twice. Plane health and progression was reworked. And now spotting is getting reworked. Yeah, no. Objectively speaking the rework isn't done by a long shot.
-
Except, you know, they've announced that they're testing another large scale change to CVs just recently. Aha, then I suppose I don't need to prove that what you're saying is utterly wrong either then. After all that's just the way it is.
-
They actually did that? When?
-
Both. They're not, they're more like HVARs. They get a ton of them, but the accuracy even at its best is bad so the volume of fire gets countered by huge dispersion.
-
Audacious is a pretty good damage farmer but as such lacks impact. Rockets can hit disgusting salvos on DDs and some cruisers but are both subject to RNG due to huge spread and stupidly slow. Torps have decent damage and excellent handling so these are your primary damage dealers. Bombs are primarily for DoT and are as such subject to RNG as well but can hit some pretty good damage numbers on the things they can actually pen. No idea about the progression, I haven't played Furious nor Implacable in ages. Audacious reserves are very manageable though since AA has been murdered in 0.8.7. Unless ofc you mess up.
-
Yes. His opening moves alone make my head hurt.
-
The way he plays seems mediocre at best. There is little doubt that Implacable is the worst T8 CV. That however doesn't necessarily mean she's bad.
-
I'm pretty sure @Sunleader is/was in the process of grinding her and found her to be pretty decent. Wouldn't really surprise me considering the 0.8.7 adjustment.
-
AP DBs are too reliant on RNG. Otherwise she has no real weaknesses.
