It's not even the credits income they're nerfing. In fact Midway is getting a buff in that regard for whatever reason. They're nerfing only base exp income. Rip my dreams of getting a 6k base exp match someday. T_T

What everyone thinks, but nobody wants to talk about...

Do tell if you succeed. The Tenrais are pretty much the primary reason why I don't play Haku nearly as often. -

Never even heard of Hololive before they announced the collab, so eh. I'm much more hyped about this tbh: But hey, new free stuff is new free stuff. Not gonna say no to that. -
That was only for IJN CVs. Because when flying Shima Haku exists, everything must be nerfed. And for Midway eventually for whatever reason. But hey, at least Enterprise TBs got buffed? The ways of balans are unfathomable.

You must not be a very good CV player then.

How does a Shimakaze deal with a CV attack?
El2aZeR replied to anonym_ED57N4NbHHsY's topic in General Discussion
Obviously. It doesn't generate flak after all. But with a Cossack disabling your AA is a moot point regardless since your AA range is already lower/equal to your air detection. Was in one pass. Enemy CV lost everything on approach. And you'd be surprised. -
Why do I even bother when MMM tells me the inevitable outcome?

Cossack AA range is lower than her detection range afaik, so that wouldn't really make a difference? Besides, I've once seen an afk Yugumo wipe out an entire strike of an enemy CV. No, those were not fighters. -
How does a Shimakaze deal with a CV attack?
El2aZeR replied to anonym_ED57N4NbHHsY's topic in General Discussion
Everything wipes any squadron quickly if said squadron doesn't dodge flak. And reality is that most CVs are incompetent as you have stated yourself, thus is incapable of dodging flak. Besides, I've seen far worse things than a Shima wiping out Midway squads. -
How does a Shimakaze deal with a CV attack?
El2aZeR replied to anonym_ED57N4NbHHsY's topic in General Discussion
While true, in reality the CV will die to DD flak rather quickly as with all flak. And reality is also that most players will not adjust to the presence of a DD even if it is spotted. Therefore this should be according to your demand of counters that conform to the reality of gameplay. Yet you didn't list it. -
Tbf that's not untrue either. Just takes a bit of match time.
-
If you get a bit of practice you can predict the outcome of a match with MMM with a I'd say 90% accuracy.
-
No need. Despite a dedicated CV mission available last week population only rose by a pathetic ~300 players from 2507 to 2811, although this may also just be natural influx due to seasonal population changes. Rework total success camrade.

How does a Shimakaze deal with a CV attack?
El2aZeR replied to anonym_ED57N4NbHHsY's topic in General Discussion
This implies that you'll stay spotted long enough for it to matter or that the enemy CV is going to look for you in the first place. As we have already established, most CVs are incompetent so you actually assume that the enemy CV is at least halfway skilled, thus you're not giving advice according to the reality of gameplay. -

El2aZeR replied to anonym_ED57N4NbHHsY's topic in General Discussion
I mean, according to you the threat of meeting me or someone even near my skill level is negligible anyway, so you might as well keep your AA enabled for easy plane kills. Who cares that it gets you killed quickly in 20% of all matches when you have extra plane kills in the other 80%? -

How about you try reading sometime? I'm not the one who is jumping from definition to definition. Now why don't you go and post some actual counters based around the reality of gameplay and not around skilled play? -

How does a Shimakaze deal with a CV attack?
El2aZeR replied to anonym_ED57N4NbHHsY's topic in General Discussion
So as an example: Flamu being at least 9km away from most teammates and largely unsupported for a good chunk of the match doesn't mean he was alone since he was still able to deal damage, spot and support his team? Specific example at 9:52. That position doesn't constitute as "being alone"? -
How does a Shimakaze deal with a CV attack?
El2aZeR replied to anonym_ED57N4NbHHsY's topic in General Discussion
Since when are these things mutually exclusive? Keeping a bit away from teammates and being unsupported by AA, which again isn't needed against an incompetent CV, doesn't mean sailing along the map border. -
Frankly? None. CVs aren't a noob friendly class to begin with and if you intend to hit high tiers immediately you're going to fail no matter what CV you use.

How does a Shimakaze deal with a CV attack?
El2aZeR replied to anonym_ED57N4NbHHsY's topic in General Discussion
Yes, that would have required you to pay attention earlier. It doesn't matter where you are against an incompetent CV, they'll fail regardless. In fact it is going to be counterproductive to sail with teammates as an imcompetent CV is more likely going to spot you by chance. And here I thought you wanted solutions according to the gameplay reality we're facing, yet you bring up assumptions that run contrary to it. You imply most people know to pay attention or even react to your presence which given the reality of average skill is not going to be the case in the majority of situations. -

El2aZeR replied to anonym_ED57N4NbHHsY's topic in General Discussion
Which is why I stated that one should only do that if one is not in danger of drawing accurate fire. Given that reworked CVs can attack you at any time anywhere the enemy team is not always going to be in position to fire at you effectively. -

How does a Shimakaze deal with a CV attack?
El2aZeR replied to anonym_ED57N4NbHHsY's topic in General Discussion
Obviously. However it describes a viable strategy in the majority of cases due to most CV players being incompetent. Since you're demanding counters that work in the majority of times be listed, why haven't you listed this one?
