KC Event has been extended to January 10th, Yuubari K2 will be implemented on the same day. Meanwhile in AL, Akashi got quite a bit of money from me this New Year's Event, not gonna lie. -
I doubt it. 0.8.7 more than proves that WG is more willing to shaft players rather than accept that what they've done is garbage, something they've already stated during the CC summit.

Which then flies straight in the face of the principles of the rework. Also ironically a bigger aggro area would also make them easier to cheese since they'll reach out further than AA does. Lets face it, any kind of meaningful fighter play is impossible to implement without radically changing the core design of the rework itself.

Except it isn't. PvP game design principles are quantifiable, reworked CVs break pretty much all of them.

You do realize you can see the enemy coming AND your ship isn't stationary while they push up, right? Perhaps just leave earlier? Your teammates are somewhere after all. And actually I can do something about it. Just kill the entire enemy flank. It's not that hard. -
Mit dieser absolut lächerlichen Logik kann man aber auch jeden dummen OP Kram rechtfertigen. Es gibt Spieler die noch nicht mal 10k damage in einer Belfast hinkriegen. Soll das jetzt heißen, dass Belfast total gut gebalanced oder sogar zu schwach ist? Spielerskill ist genau der Punkt, der in Balance komplett irrelevant ist. Das Potential und somit das designete Endresultat zählt. Das ist mitunter auch der Grund, warum die Performance schlechter Spieler absolut irrelevant ist während die der guten Spieler zählt, da letztere genau das unter realen Matchbedingungen veranschaulichen.

Which is why devs are testing to relegate CV spotting to minimap only in competitive? Changes are needed because the current state is not satisfactory. CVs are both grossly overpowered and fundamentally broken.

Reality is that it isn't very hard. If you feel like it is, that's on you. If that happens the CV has either gravely mispositioned or the match is over anyway. In any other normal match scenario a DD would be suiciding doing this as long range shell fire against CVs especially in high tiers is ineffective and a waste of time while a CV will easily outfight even multiple DDs in a direct engagement. -

Except fire duration and thus damage for cruisers and DDs is already lower than on BBs, not to mention they have a much faster DCP cd. As such this would in fact be a massive buff for BBs while everyone else gets at best a trade off and thus the short end of the stick. If anything fire damage and duration needs to be increased for BBs. I can tell you from experience that losing just because your CV lost the opening sniping duel isn't very fun, nor does it particularly solve anything. -

Dies ist tatsächlich seit 0.8.5 nicht länger der Fall. Schaden wird nur für die angreifenden Flieger reduziert, die aber sowieso erst als letztes abgeschossen werden. Ein paar lustige Sachen lassen sich schon damit machen, ist aber größtenteils eher irrelevant.

The fun part is if you cut that list off at 0.8.7, as you should since AA mechanics were completely reworked, it looks like this: The supposed "yellow" changes are actually all massive buffs, while the supposed "nerfs" are literally all placebo with the sole exception of auto pilot. In fact the fighter change can actually be seen as a buff because now they won't mess up your aim. So I suppose OP got his wish?

While positioning is indeed crucial and it is very good that you're learning this early on, on higher tiers support against DDs is actually no longer needed. A single CV will outfight even multiple DDs in a direct engagement provided they all come from the same direction (and they often do). Map awareness in determining the location of incoming DDs is crucial in this regard so you can start sending out strikes and run away in the opposite direction immediately after you get spotted. As long as you don't get caught in a torp spread you're far too tanky to be taken out before you can kill the DDs.

On that note, I just recently saw a Lexington lose a running battle against a single Myoko. Recorded it, too. Inb4 Myoko AA op, pls nerf?

I don't believe there is a coal ship that carries much harder than others, so I'd say just pick according to personal preference.

Attempting to cover teammates is attempting to throw the match. A CV that doesn't cover allies is making the right choice. -
That's actually a terrible idea for the simple reason that a match can easily be unrecoverable if you lose your own CV and the enemy CV happens to be any good. @OP Your issue is playing Audacious. Just don't. Midway retains excellent anti-DD capabilities via TiTs. The only ship that can actually shatter Midway HE bombs on her deck is FdG I believe. The continuous nerfs to CVs, which were all extremely justified, have all been made moot by 0.8.7 which buffed CVs to the extreme.

Stats are actually used to prove or disprove claims thus exposing the truth but whatever. You could also post a replay to prove us wrong.

Which ofc inherently makes them useless if you shorten accordingly. And again, just because I play a class doesn't mean I can't see and prove it is broken af. Remember when you accused me of just wanting to keep my broken class? Rather ironic now, isn't it? Ranked is a grind. It has very little to do with skill. Skill merely determines how many matches you need to rank out. Ranked and random stats are seperate entities, they literally have no influence on each other making your narrative moot.

Back to that again so quickly, huh? Here's something funny to consider though: The fewer players there are, the more influential CVs become, the more they can disregard their team. Also even with a fighter you cannot prevent a CV from taking out a low HP teammate by virtue of aggro delay. Not to mention due to T10 CV armor they're practically immune to damage from long range fire when angled. Thus what you're saying is just straight up wrong in any scenario as it is contradictory to well known and proven facts.
