Except they do not. The recent buffs were purely out of population concerns and had literally nothing to do with balance. Before that, like any other class, CVs were balanced around skilled play.
-
Except if CV players have trouble finding a match that inevitably cuts down on the amount of CV matches played, hence why it is not a separate issue at all. Lets imagine that there are 7 CV players queuing at the same time spread over 7 tiers. In this case not a single CV match will be created as there are no other players to match them against. Meanwhile if you spread them only over 4 tiers that guarantees at least 3 CV matches. Except CVs do occupy top spots all the time given sufficient skill. You seem to be under the impression that the performance of bad and mediocre CV players matter. It doesn't. Compensating for a poor DD player is far more easy than and not nearly as game deciding as compensating for a poor CV player. That is because other classes actually have counterplay options available against DDs.
-
Which would be right under the assumption that CVs were commonplace on all tiers to the point where finding matches would be relatively quick. That wasn't the case as spending several minutes or even overextending the timer in queue was quite common.
-
Wrong, but okay. So RTS was actually better since bad players were less useless? You know, since you seem to think top player stats dont matter.
-
Except I have proven that if you condense the same amount of people into fewer tiers you'll inevitably increase the encounter rate. Therefore 2k CV players spread over 7 tiers will result in a smaller encounter rate than 2k CV players spread over 4 tiers. AA overkill is what happens as described with full AA DM + DFAA. You get one attack in and everything else dies. As such this becomes a moot point once the CV starts to manage reserves and limit losses, at which point the CV still gets to kill all the ships in the group. Sticking together only matters again if the concentration is so high that the CV doesn't get any attack in, at which point you'll probably be losing the match by default as your team is almost entirely sitting in a single position with no map control whatsoever.

The amount of people in a match is irrelevant as CVs are mirrored and have both hard and soft caps in low numbers. Regardless that wasn't the point. The "rooms" do not represent the amount of matches but the amount of tiers. I see you have failed to read again. Against bad or mediocre CV players you do not need an AA specialization as they die to flak anyway, hence why it is useless even against such CV players.

WG should make a complete overhaul of the nonexistant tutorials
El2aZeR replied to mantiscore's topic in General Discussion
Here's the fun part: According to official WG statements tutorials were actually in development and "almost ready". Which means someone actually made the decision to scrap them. It was from a very old Q&A. I'll try to dig it up but no promises. EDIT: Here we go: https://forum.worldofwarships.asia/topic/24531-asia-qa-round-1-answers/?tab=comments#comment-309470 -

A quick math example as well: There are a total of 8 people. There are 7 rooms available. If you try to divide the people equally to the rooms only one person has to share a room with another. This was RTS as CVs were available from T4 all the way to T10. Now there are still a total of 8 people, but there are only 4 rooms available. Doing the same thing you end up with 2 persons per room. This is the rework, as there are only even tier CVs available from T4 onwards. Thus by cutting down the number of tiers WG has condensed the playerbase, so even if you have the same amount of players playing now the encounter rate will be much higher.

CV Rework 2019 in graphs and where we are right now

That's a rather ironic statement given that you have repeatedly ignored or contradicted CV players far more skilled than you. -
Ranked Sprint 1vs1 should have been called Ranked Sprint "Biscmark" vs "Tirpitz"
El2aZeR replied to Smart_Hound's topic in General Discussion
Except the sole reason why is because the most skilled CV players all gravitated towards Enterprise and GZ. Despite that Shokaku and Lexington take 2nd and third place among tech tree ships respectively. Same reason why Midway stats were down the drain last patch. Skilled CV players all migrated to Haku. The ship itself was fine. Didn't show up in WG's spreadsheet tho hence why the buffed it. Stats are meaningless without interpretation. If it comes down to pure capability Shokaku performance actually comes fairly close to Enterprise, thus if Enterprise didn't exist Shokaku would simply occupy one of the top spots. -

El2aZeR replied to mcboernester's topic in General Discussion
Why I would be solely concerned with stats is beyond me but okay. And no, I wouldn't actually profit because the reality is simple: Whether you have an AA build or not doesn't matter to me as the difference is negligible. If you had done a bit more research you would've seen that I actually do not play ranked in general anymore since, what, 2017? And frankly pure T10 matches happen extremely often in randoms nowadays. Doesn't matter at all as T10 AA is simply inadequate to deal with T10 CVs. It is even inadequate in dealing with T8 CVs. -

Yes I can, because it only takes me two more strikes at most to kill the contesting DD. That is way faster than any US torps can reach me. Been there, done that. -

El2aZeR replied to Smart_Hound's topic in General Discussion
Did you not read? A cap does not give points if an enemy ship is in it. Your torps will not reach the enemy CV before he kills you. And that is assuming you actually have a clear shot in the first place. If something doesnt work against me but works against other CVs, that is not a counterplay method. That is the CV player being bad. Proper angling and running to the cap cannot be achieved at the same time. And quite a few rocket planes out there do not care about angling. -

El2aZeR replied to Smart_Hound's topic in General Discussion
If the enemy CV isn't incompetent you'll be so low before you reach the cap that he can safely contest. You then either die because you try to kill him or you die after your smoke runs out. It's not that hard. -

In terms of effectiveness so far: Premium ships: Top pick is a CV (without 2ndaries), dominating so hard it leaves all the competition far behind Tech tree ships: Shokaku and Lexington are 2nd and 3rd behind Fantasque Yeah, right. CVs are beatable if they're terrible. But that's not you defeating the CV, that's the CV defeating themselves. -
CV Rework 2019 in graphs and where we are right now
El2aZeR replied to mcboernester's topic in General Discussion
The percentage of CV matches has drastically increased as CV players are condensed into fewer tiers. Actual reason why people do not want to specialize into AA is simply because specializing into AA has little to no effect regardless of whether the enemy CV is good or not. This is because most AA skills and upgrades increase the amount of or damage done by flak, however a terrible CV player will die to flak regardless of how many you spawn or how much damage they do while good CV players will simply avoid it all. Likewise the DPS increases are negligible as they do not prevent any attack runs, a player that will get two full attack runs on you without AA specialization will still get two full attack runs on you with AA specialization. So regardless of whether a player chooses to specialize into AA, bad CV players will die to flak while good CV players won't care. As such AA skills and upgrades are all completely useless. -
Don't know for sure tbh and it also depends on whether he has Manual 2ndaries or not, but I reckon a distance of around 6km will suffice.
-
Hide behind an island somewhat close to the caps, spam rockets and TBs. Don't forget to shorten your squad to limit losses. Your superior damage potential will ensure that you kill him before he can kill you. If all else fails, you can just get really close and sit broadside to a GZ. 2ndaries aim for your belt and you have a torp belt pretty much all over your side. Torp belt hits with HE shells deal no damage so at close range GZ 2ndaries become completely useless against you.

That too is ofc possible. -
Which has something to do with you outright lying (whether knowingly or unknowingly)... how exactly? EDIT: A downvote is all you have to defend yourself with, huh?

If you had done even a minuscule amount of research then you'd realize that your "observation" is based on nothing but your own imagination. Which ofc matters very little to the actual topic at hand given that these players outperform you easily in both strong and weak ships.
