    Smolensk Not OP

25mm deck armor would actually make it less likely for AP bombs to arm, you know? :)

    Smolensk Not OP

I actually meant it as "it is in fact op". It is however easily fixable imo. Just nerf the deck and upper belt armor down to 25mm.

    Smolensk Not OP

Because having 40 total DPS more is surely gonna make all the difference. /s

    Smolensk Not OP

Oh, it is alright. It's just that the average player fails with any ship.

    Smolensk Not OP

Yes, quite a lot in fact.

    Smolensk Not OP

Actually you only showed us Audacious, so you either edited the others in later on or you're lying once again. There is something called damage saturation, you know? Because attacking a Smolensk in ranked somehow differs to attacking a Smolensk in randoms.

    Smolensk Not OP

Funny, didn't you tell us that you used Audacious in ranked? Which means you used the only T10 CV whose rockets have 27mm penetration, rendering them largely useless against a Smolensk which btw is covered in 30mm armor.
  8. "How many covers of this song do you want?" Manjuu: "Yes." I'm actually disappointed that this wasn't the opening song. Not that the actual OP was bad tho. Finally managed to get all the event ships. For some reason it took me ages to pull Kasumi.
  9. Except that is not how statistics work. If e.g. a Massa encounters a Massa that will result in a 50% total WR, this much is true. However that also means they're automatically eliminated from the equation as the encounters against other ships will inevitably shift the number upwards or downwards, aka the deviation from 50% yields conclusive performance data. This is e.g. also why WR is a representative statistic in judging your skill if you have a sufficient sample size of matches as the amount of default losses and wins inevitably normalize towards 50%. Any deviation from 50% therefore is the result of your own skill.

Which I suppose is why you win so much, huh? Oh wait.

NA Forum is better then EUR forum

Funny how you never back up your claims with sources then. Which I suppose is rather difficult when the people you oh so admire actually contradict them.

    Why AA skills are worthless

...This is literally what I posted previously.

Which I suppose is backed up by your performance. Oh wait. Your evidence does not support your claim. It contradicts it severely.
  16. Used to play all classes, now pretty much only play CVs. Abandoned DDs entirely, cruisers and BBs are almost exclusively played in divs. I much prefer kicking people's teeth in rather than get my own teeth kicked in.

Concealment allows you to dictate an engagement. Survivability allows you to better sustain said engagement once it has begun. Neither works in contradiction to the other. Hint: If people concerned over their score, aka wanting to win, are hanging back and you recklessly charge forward because you don't care, that makes you the terrible player, not them.

    Why AA skills are worthless

Because somehow main battery hitrate is going to translate into a completely theoretical AA hitrate. Also We're still waiting.

    Why AA skills are worthless

Again: Lets imagine 7 CV players spread over 7 tiers in queue. Each tier therefore has 1 CV player queuing. This allows no CV matches to be made as CVs have to be mirrored. Now lets imagine 7 CV players spread over 4 tiers. This means 3 tiers have 2 CV players while 1 tier has 1 CV player queuing. This allows for 3 CV matches to be created. Please tell me where I went wrong with my math.

    Why AA skills are worthless

You can just extrapolate the math I did to see that using AA skills is even more worthless when sailing in a group as most of the time the CV will still get one strike in and can limit casualties via various means. Also being 5-6km distant only adds ~100 DPS to the equation which is unlikely to deter any number of strikes. If you want actual effective AA overlap, you need to be within 2.5km of a ship at least.

    best DDs for each tier?

    Shenyang is a T4 DD.

    Why AA skills are worthless

On a more serious note, here's what happens if a bot Haku attacks a Shima that has no AA skills whatsoever: This is because bots, like the majority of CV players, don't dodge flak. But even worse, bot CVs actually cheat as they still retain RTS turning circles, meaning human players will take more casualties than bots if both don't dodge flak as human players will be exposed to AA much longer. Meanwhile if a player does actually know how to dodge flak: Whether a CV knows how to dodge flak or not thus makes all the difference.

    Why AA skills are worthless

Which is completely beside the point. This is not about whether AA works, this is about whether specializing into AA makes a lot of difference. You said that it does. Prove it. I have just done the math that it doesn't. And on a completely unrelated note, LWM and Lert both stated that the CV rework is a show in one of their latest articles. Somehow I don't see you agreeing with that.
