    Have we? I don't believe so. What matters is that you aren't capable of traversing the map uncontested or stay hidden the entire time. This can also just be simulated by picking a suitable map. We were talking about kills, not objectives. Unless both ships are meeting head on the chances of a successful torp rush is actually rather small. A CV actually culls DD influence over objectives in a random or competitive gamemode and makes them largely useless. We've seen that already in 12vs12 CBs. Which is why I suppose so many top BB and DD players go into the 80%+ solo WR bracket. Oh wait. Even according to WG's own measurements CVs are still the most influential class by far. It does, tho. And that would imply there are decisions to make that can somehow put you into an advantageous position.

    The point is that you have the highest chance by far to win with a CV even with a bad team. A 1vs1 in the training room is indeed meaningless as it doesn't represent actual match conditions. There are no other ships you have to worry about and no objectives to contest. In a vacuum no other class can either unless putting themselves at significant risk so moot point there.

    On the contrary depending on MM you were much more reliant on your team as you couldn't kill no fly zones. Nowadays you simply don't care.

    CVs without a functioning team is the most powerful asset that one can possess. All other classes lose out even more. Neither fighters nor groups deserve any respect as a CV. The former is easily cheesed, the latter is irrelevant due to AA strength in general being pathetic.

    She might even be really good at nuking DDs even if her rockets turn out to be meh against them since 2 extra bombs on her DBs should make up for the wonky spread and pretty much all "meta" DDs are thicc and therefore easy targets. Not to mention DDs will struggle to shoot down even a single plane lul.

    Initial spot yielded several kills which reduced the points of one teams to 0 so fast the game thought the match was rigged and hit everyone with 0 points. Rockets, torps and bombs are all the same as Midway. However with constant blobs in play FDR is going to become much more valuable as she's going to have practically infinite loiter time, thus can spot for much longer while also dealing a ton of damage. Not to mention the alpha is sufficient to cripple any cruiser and kill it in 2-3 runs depending on RNG, target and fires. This basically puts a timer on the enemy team as a whole and pressure on the enemy CV specifically to do the same damage or fall behind.

    This somehow implies that CVs do not have extreme early game impact as evidenced by the last 12vs12 CBs where early CV spotting could end matches so fast the game thought the match is being rigged. Oh wait. More interesting is going to be how FDR plays in a competitive environment. I imagine that if the team just buys enough time she is simply going to alpha strike everything out of existence.

    Making a class unattractive has nothing to do with balancing. Increasing AA and cutting down reserves is a must to make CVs actually punishable. That it does automatically make CV play unattractive only proves that the rework concept is garbage. Again, with a good design playability and balance aren't in direct contradiction to each other. A move that once again has proven extremely unpopular with the CV playerbase, culling their numbers by roughly 1/3rd when the speed nerf and DB adjustments happened. As such no, this isn't an option according to your own standards. See above as to why this is a blatant lie. As long as reworked CVs aren't ezmode damage farmers with huge match impact they will not be played. And the rework concept prevents CVs from being anything else. No, the issue is your inability to admit that the rework is terribly designed and as such has no room to make adjustments without also making it a failure one way or another.

    Done that so many times at this point I see little reason to repeat myself in an elaborate fashion quite frankly. It basically boils down to a return to RTS with a ton of adjustments to fighters, spotting, accessibility, loadouts, damage per tier and AA to make CVs more accessible while making CV - surface ship interaction more fair.

    The inherent concept of the rework limits the amount of choices one can make when it comes to adjusting CVs. Only two aspects have any real impact, namely aircraft reserves and damage dealing capabilities. Both of which are currently too high. The former can be nerfed by increasing AA, cutting down plane regeneration and/or nerfing deck availability, how the latter can be nerfed is self-explanatory. Nerfing either will result in CVs becoming extinct as the development history of the rework already proves, as such balance and playability are in contradiction to each other. There is no lack of constructiveness nor imagination. The rework design is just so terrible that "imagination" is limited to the two aspects mentioned above and starting anew is the most constructive thing one can ask for.

    This affects only slingshot and even with that the impact to most CVs will be negligible. E.g. for Enterprise this just means slingshotting from 7-6km instead of 5-6km. In a normal attack scenario reengaging takes long enough so that the extra attack cd makes absolutely no difference.

    Frankly? Aside from the rockets, which seems hilarious, FDR has nothing going for her. High HP and continuous heal has little to no impact given that currently even the strongest AA is pathetic. Not only does she need to wait a long time between attacks, her planes are also laughably slow. Midway will get far more ordinance on target in the same timeframe. If you want to keep the speed and attack cd she's gonna need way more alpha. An extra plane per attack wing at least, if not two.

    On the contrary CVs enjoy massive advantages over surface ships due to their inherent differences which must be balanced out by suitable downsides of which they currently have none. The only relevant aspects in this are damage dealing capabilities and aircraft reserves due to the inherent (failure of a) concept of the rework, meaning these are the only aspects that can be attacked to have meaningful impact. Or do you want to deny that? Which is an extremely laughable concept given how fast strikes can cycle. You're still advocating for CVs to run around unpunished even if they make the most stupid decisions. Asking for DFAA to make strikes less accurate without shutting them down will make absolutely no difference.

    It's actually a blatant lie. The concept of an "AA crossfire" doesn't exist as all additional flak simply gets added to the preexisting wall and anyone who has played before 0.8.7 knows that flak doesn't spawn fast nor close enough during a strike if you make your attack run correctly.

    This again just so WG can claim that CV complaints are down, huh? Or at least that's what WG CMs tried to tell me on the NA forums some time ago. Weirdly enough they had no answer to me pointing out that threads about CVs were being actively locked and removed due to the existence of a unified CV thread. Anyway, CVs are broken due to their fundamental concept being purely centered around damage dealing to other classes, something that is utterly toxic in what is supposed to be a teambased game. Counterplay against them must not exist as it would deny their sole purpose and make them useless. They must also not interact with each other for the very same reason. Likewise the rework has achieved none of its original set goals while leaving existing issues as is or making them worse while adding new ones on top. Even in terms of technical execution the rework is a complete disaster on par with, if not worse than its predecessor being riddled with countless, sometimes even gamebreaking bugs. Thus there is no real solution but to scrap the rework and start anew. Something that ofc WG will never do as they're mired deep in sunk cost fallacy as the development history of the rework more than proves. And with subs on the horizon, once again limiting the amount of the already pathetic AA on the field, things can only get worse from here.

    About as much as your demand for a refund when the rework was at its most balanced I suppose. Which serves as fundamental proof that there is nothing about the rework that can be feasibly changed for the better as playability and balance are in direct contradiction of each other.

    You don't need to be the most super unicum of unicums to have success in CVs. Basic competence is all that is needed. I refuse to believe that there are people who cannot achie.... *remembers what kind of playerbase this is* Oh yeah, nevermind. But then again those who cannot achieve basic competence don't deserve to perform anyway. Thank you. :)
