Sorry, aber was laberst du?

Can I have my money back for the Massachuset?
El2aZeR replied to Spearhawk1969's topic in General Discussion
According to CC statements the only reason why Massa is not being pulled from the shop is because no one is complaining about how she is overpowered. Massa is also the only ship that is capable of even remotely competing with Enterprise for the top T8 spot in weekly stats. -
I forgot to take a screenshot of my 4.4k base exp match. Now I only have @Saiyko as my witness.

Are new German CV better than JPN and other cvs in ranked and in random?
El2aZeR replied to luokailk's topic in General Discussion
According to unofficial opinions KM CVs as they currently are make RN CVs look appealing. I think that's about all you need to know. -
Has Wargaming given up with even attempting to balance the game? (part 1?)
El2aZeR replied to Srgt_Misfire's topic in General Discussion
To put it simply: - nerf came to reworked CVs that kinda made them balanced - CV rework population tanked so hard that it fell below RTS - WG realized the rework is in danger of failing and thus globally murdered AA So yeah, they've given up on balancing at least when it comes to that.- 106 replies

4 tiers lower actually. Since, you know, Ark Royal actually s all over Öland with her T4 planes.

The counters to DDs are getting disgustingly ridiculous
El2aZeR replied to mantiscore's topic in General Discussion
That will depend on how powerful they are. And it currently looks like they're... sub-par to say the least. RN CVs were new once upon a time. No one played them and no one plays them still because they're inferior to their contemporaries. Though to be fair with KM CVs we will have to consider the wehraboo factor which will undoubtedly draw in a sizeable playerbase. -
Jop.

"Zoup" and "telling the truth" are contradictory elements.

All BBs can delete T10 CVs if they're not angled. When they're angled Shikishima is going to fail just like all other BBs. Shikishima doesn't cross any particularly important overmatch thresholds and her gun caliber certainly isn't big enough to overmatch T10 CV deck armor. In fact Shikishima wouldn't be able to overmatch Midway/Haku deck armor if she had DOUBLE her gun caliber. (Haku deck armor: 95mm, Midway deck armor: 87mm. Overmatch caliber needed respectively: 1359 / 1244 mm)

Again, that would make CVs extremely awkward to control and actually require more multitasking than RTS.
-
- take-off/landing delay as proposed existed in RTS - temporary buff for surface ships existed in RTS (DFAA) - higher alpha strike for CVs existed in RTS - manual hull control existed in RTS - manual fighter control existed in RTS Quite literally the only things that would change in your proposal compared to RTS is the manual control of planes, which would be janky as all out as you're literally increasing the multi-tasking compared to RTS, as well as minimap only spotting which has already been shot down by WG. Might as well return to RTS altogether rather than making CVs even less accessible.

the higher the tier, the more boring the map, why ?
El2aZeR replied to HassenderZerhacker's topic in General Discussion
Because WG likes to maximize profit nowadays. Hence why every new map is basically made by copy-&-paste'ing sections of existing maps together nowadays. -
Something that has already been deemed unacceptable by WG. Besides, your entire proposal is pretty much nothing but same old quite frankly. If you want to see what your proposal kinda looks like in action, have a look here for example: No it doesn't, because it is simply a natural limitation imposed on CVs by the newly changed AA system. With it reworked CVs are "only" capable of putting out as much damage as RTS CVs did. Without it it would be higher as we've already seen. Therefore it is nothing but sweet sugarcoating to say that plane losses limit DPM when it is simply the reality of CV play that in a squad with three theoretical strikes, you will only get two against most targets. And it most certainly doesn't prevent a CV from spamming planes at you as your posts suggests. Your argument does nothing but ignore reality in favor of pushing your laughable narrative. It's like saying that a hypothetical country's official unemployment rate is close to 0% when it actively prevents the people who would otherwise be considered as unemployment from working. Or in terms of the game, you could say that a Yamato would have monstrous damage output if it had a 5 second reload. Well, too bad, it doesn't. Plane losses are meaningless as they do not prevent a CV from attacking and killing you unless the CV player in question is incompetent. It also doesn't necessarily limit the DPM of a CV beyond what is natural.

If you lose an entire squad of torp planes then you either misplayed or the enemy is stacking to such an extend that you're winning (or alternatively losing) anyway. But in a realistic scenario the first squad is gonna get X amount of drops and have survivors returning home. Your second squad even if it is incomplete will also achieve X amount of drops because of janky CV mechanics and the whole attack wing damage reduction thing. By the time you finish up the second drop you will have regenerated enough planes which along with your survivors from your first strike will also be able to achieve X amount of drops. Practical example: Lets assume you're facing a ship against which you can do 2 drops with a 9 plane squad with 16 reserves total, meaning you'd have left 7 at your CV. You're also not a complete imbecile and avoid all the flak as you should. Out of those 9 planes, usually 3-4 will get shot down. You will now launch your 2nd strike consisting of 8 planes, since you regenerated one, and go attack again. By the time you finish up you will have regenerated 2 planes due to the specific plane regen timings and the other 5-6 survivors from the first strike will have returned to your CV, giving you another 7-8 plane squad. Only by the 4th attack will you MAYBE not have enough planes available as your 2nd squad was incomplete, therefore won't have as many survivors. And that is assuming 1. the AA you're facing is actually strong enough for that to matter which is not a common occurrence and 2. you're playing a CV that isn't capable of pulling out full squads on the 2nd strike which does include the majority of CVs. And that's not going into that most plane types are multi-role, meaning e.g. that it is just as efficient to kill a cruiser with TBs as it is with DBs. That outright doubles, or in the case of some targets and CVs triples the amount of planes you need to kill for plane losses to actually matter, an outright impossible prospect given how vast the reserves a CV fields are. So no, plane kills do not matter unless you can target them down in sufficient amounts - which currently requires half your team sitting in a single grid, giving up all map control and thus likely the match. Saying that plane kills matter because a CV cannot use the ENTIRE squadron is nothing but attempting to sugarcoat the situation where a CV already does massive damage with no counterplay despite such natural limitations, which are just that and not some kind of counter, imposed on them.
-
Failing to read again I see. Again, by the time you have finished up your second strike you'll have enough planes available to go for another attack of the same effect. *EDIT*
-
By the time you finished up with your 2nd strike you'll have regenerated enough planes and have had other planes return for another viable attack wing of the same squad. *EDIT*

New Unique Upgrades and changes to current upgrades
El2aZeR replied to Alexhideg94's topic in General Discussion
Sounds worth a try. On the other hand might not be worth it since Midway bombs are subject to some serious RNG nowadays and TiTs are more reliable anyway. This is just straight up overpowered since tapping still exists, making the downside of this upgrade moot. -

They. Do. Not. Exist. (Aside from Ark Royal which is a great CV for her tier and Audacious which is decent enough.)

Raptor still bugged, its economy further nerfed...just w.. WeeGee!!
El2aZeR replied to Andrewbassg's topic in General Discussion
They've recycled a lot of stuff in the past few years. If you'll remember there used to be a time when WG would care about Ops and bring out new ones every now and then. That time is long gone. Also "joke gamemodes" don't require as much money to create because, well, they're meant to be "jokes".
