Charles Martel can use both engine boost and planes (Catapulted Fighter /Scout), no Repair party. It'a a strong tier 8 Saint Louis has Repair Party but it has to choose between Engine boost and planes. It is barely better than Charles Martel except that its AA is exceptionnal.

Friant 138 mm shells have rainbow-like trajectories They hit 15 km range in 16s (840 m/s HE)

240 mm L/55 shells of Henri IV (velo 845 m/s) hit max range (19 km) in 13s Compared to Moskva : 19 km range in 10s

So you won't be frustrated by Friant with her 15 km range

Algérie is very strong, don't worry about it.

Except the tier 10, all French CAs have quite tight turning radius. Yes, they are agile.

Saint Louis max range 18,3 km. 203 mm AP with velo 845 m/s needs 12,8s to reach that mark.

La Galissonnìère 152 mm shells hit max range (16 km) in 12 s (velocity = 870 m/s).

The reason of the low tier range buff is the tier 3 Friant whcih has ~15 km range with AFT.

Basic firing range buffed from 9,81 km to 11,37 km. It's the stock range without FCS upgrade.

Algérie, Charles Martel, Saint Louis 203 mm L/55 ROF is 5 rpm. French cruisers have excellent torpedo launching arc in the game, they don't need to show broadside to launch torps. Saint Louis has better AA rating than Henry IV

Henry IV torpedo firing angle.. OMG, that angle is much better than Graf Spee's. LOL, you only need to turn ~20 degrees either side to launch the torps.

Duca d'Aosta has better shell arc then Budy, otherwise, its gameplay is about the same.

All I can say that It is very similar to North Carolina config without the belt armour and the citadel armour is vertical.

Armour config of Henry IV is very simple, you have a T-shape citadel with 45 mm armour covered by the torpedo bulge of 19 mm. The part above the water is about the same size of Minotaur without the higher mid part. Citadel bulkhead is 160 mm. (compared to 170 mm for Moskva)
