The belt armour looks good on paper but it is not sufficient to make any noticeable difference from other CAs. I saw a RU video in which Grozovoi citadeled it. The funny thing is that Henri IV needs IPHE to work properly but somehow devs only give STs a lv3 captain to test it

I don;t know, but Moskva gets post war shells while Henri IV gets 1902 shells. Something is fishy here.

Because the penetration is poor : Henry IV : Penetration @ 5 / 10 / 15 km : 359 / 266 / 198 mm Moskva : Penetration @ 5 / 10 / 15 km : 496 / 392 / 314 mm You can only pen 359 mm at 5 km. But the belt armour of tier 8-10 BB is in 300-410 mm range. If you account the impact angle, the shells have a very hard time to pen. In that ship I recommand you aim higher to hit the superstructure or simply spam HE.

240 mm gun has worse accuracy so a lot of shells will go to where they should not go. i has the same feeling when playing Sharnhorst.

No, the second shell shattered because its damage was absorbed by the AA.. The HE penetration is really 40 mm. The only good thing about 240 mm HE is with IFHE, the shell can pen up to 52 mm, which can penetrate 50 mm deck of Moskva, GK, FDG and Yamato and Khaba belt.

Sigma is only 1 factor in the calculation. If the dispersion at one range is crap, it cannot compensate enough to make the overall shell pattern better.

In the current state, frankly, I prefer my Warspite over it. Its hull armour is good but the goddamn turrets broke all the time. Very annoing to play.

Well, they did, and that is why I said the tier 10 is hard to play. The guns are very underwhelming for that caliber and it is not tanky like Moskva and even other CAs due to weak deck armour. The only thing that i like about it is that it is a good looking ship and its torpedo launching arc. Tiers 7 and 8 are the zenith of the branch though.
