    British battleships incoming

Fuse time determines only what kind of pen it is :
  2. I prefer TBs thang DBs. If DFAA is on, TBs can still hit something but DBs will miss all if they don't have ridiculous low penalty like Enterprise.DBs
  3. Darth_Glorious

So what good is Montana now?

With 457 mm APs , those part becomes their whole weakspot (except Yamato front turret armour if you are far away and red colored belts) :

    Remove detonations please

I think that they need to remove detonation at least for DDs. Sometimes the team has only 1 DD and he blows up in the beginning of the battle....

It is always active for 20s. Conqueror was much more ridiculous when it had Zao accuracy, cruiser rudder time, 29km range and radar to chase RN CLs and DDs. i still don't understand how it could escape internal test phase with those stats HE penetration on UK BBs also follows caliber/4 rule like on German BBs.

It is the same fuse as Hood, but you still need wide targets like big CVs to make it work

    British battleships incoming

BB short fuse shells are only good vs big box CVs...That is what I Iearned the hard way from ~80 Hood battles.

Don't know why he doesn't try AP, because Orion AP is very good. I shot at a new York

He is right, the fuse is 0.015s, compared to 0.033s for other nation BBs.

    British battleships incoming

I remembered the first time when my Conqueror shot at a yamato who was moving forward (angled ~30 degrees to me), from 8 shells, 6 hits the mark and all 6 are normal pens. When I saw that crap, i knew something was broken...

Nelson is easy to get citadeled, so its supeheal doesn't work efficiently like in the case of Lion and Conqueror.

It is 2 charges if you use credit one. Prem one has 3 charges You can have 4 charges if you use SI. 4 charges is enough for a game because you already have ~160 k Hp in reserve with flag

The dispersion is the same for 2 guns. But 12 shells to the target give you a better impression than 8 shells. 419 mm guns can deal with most of the threat except Yamato and GK which you have to rely on HE or their stupidity to show you their broadside. 457 mm guns can deal with those 2 Juggernauts effortless even when they angled or bow on against you (they think that they are safe, but they are not), just shoot anything except the bow, the Yamato front turret armour and the lower belt whch has 400mm + armour and you lolpen them like no tomorrow. The superheal will stay as it is....What claimed by Flamu is untrue.

Why allow mods the show speed and direction?

Navigator mod is a very strong tool if you know how to use it. it warns you of tiny changes in target direction. When you have enough experience, you can feel how fast they can make a turn and what angle you can begin to shoot to catch them at favorable angle in their turning maneuver for heavy damage with some citadels.

    Nelson confirmed cost and stats

    Look like a typo.
  17. Darth_Glorious

So what good is Montana now?

I will stay with those 457 mm guns, farming Yamato and GK tears is very fun.

So what good is Montana now?

I don't find it has worse accuracy than Montana. The shells feel faster due to better drag coef so long range shooting is easier than Montana. Hitting more than half of your shells is very common with those guns

Well, it is a simulation with all its flaws, There is always something go wrong in the algorithm

    Normal penetration damage on DDs

I don't have problem with the topic I only react to some people said that they rather eat HE than AP. I want to see their face when they are focused by HE spammers. It iwll be a more funnier situation.

    Normal penetration damage on DDs

Unlike AP, HE shells come with all other penalties from broken things which disrupts your capabilities and fires which increases your detection range, It is a more painful death.

    Normal penetration damage on DDs

I'm not happy when 6 ships spam HE to me in a DD. I'm pretty sure that you won't like them to spam HE to you either.

AP shell doesn't have explosion size There is a delay of 0.01-0.033s after AP shell passed the armour threreshold check, which can let it pen something another time.

This is 4 HP sections on your ship. If the shell can pass 2 sections in one pass it wll deal dmg 2 times (20% if an overpen followed by an overpen, 43% dmg if an overpen followed by a pen, 66% dmg if a pen followed by a pen). If there is a saturated dmg section, the normal dmg will be halfed (16,67% insetead of 33%) but the overpen dmgwill stay at 10%) More reading here : https://forum.worldofwarships.eu/topic/25214-dealing-damage-in-wows/

Internal armour layout at its finest. Each ship has 4 HP blocks IIRC (1 at bow, 1 at stern and 2 in the midship). If the shell somehow manages to pen 2 blocks in one pass, its dmg will be counted 2 times.
