Well, contest a cap with a 30 torps Shima nearby is not pleasant experience either

DW doesn't help Shima much but torpedo booster (8s reload) will make it more terrifying with its12 km torps

It is still fun in operations

They are still testing it with those CA parameters

DoY still has 2.05 sigma, both hydro and sonar, better gun ricochet angle, 25s reload time.

It is my speculation based on WG history of new ideas testing with prem/reward ships : DD with hydro : Lo Yang --> Ger DDs DD with radar : Black --> PA DDs CL with smoke : Flint+Kutuzov --> RN CLs BB with DFAA : Hood --> short lived RN BB versions + Duke of York BB without heal but with CA specs: Duke of York --> ?

Look like Duke of York is a testbed for future battlecruisers

30k is not a lot of HP and the hitbox of the airfield is huge, that's why you don't want any ship entering the haven

The cit roof has only 22 mm, that's why it can eat citadel hits from everywhere

Aigle shells are very slow so it is very hard to hit at max range

Tips : - In the beginning, Nelson can solo whole Raptor group (Raptor, Cleveland, Sims and Farragut) thank to its superheal. Other BBs need 2 to be successful without dying due to concentrated HE fires. If you have 1 extra BB, that BB can go help the CA group in the east and kill Atlanta. - Move Nelson or 2 BBs to F3, you can spot Raptor from there (Raptor has 11km sea detection range), engage Cleveland. If you can kill Cleveland fast enough, you can snipe Raptor while run away from the 2 chasing DDs (Sims and Farragut). If you can't kill Cleveland before those 2 DDs join the fight, run away, focus the chasing DDs first and return to finish the job. - If your team has a CV, tell the CV player to send 1 fighter 2 minimap cells from where Raptor is (H2). Raptor fighter won't attack it if it is kept at G4 or J4, for example. This spotting will allow you can snipe Raptor from safer distance. Just notice that Raptor will move when it HP drops below 50%. - With my tactic, I removed Raptor from the battle before ~14 minutes mark without CV help and before ~15-16 minutes mark with help from CV or from another teammate. With Raptor removed, you can keep 3-4 forts intact very easily because those forts fear mostly DB attacks from Raptor. - DD is not advisable for that operation. But if you insist to play DD, Akatsuki is the best due to fast torp reloading time and good guns. But you don't want to have more than 1 DD. DD job in that Op is ambush the 3 US BBs in the beginning, while fight off enemy DD attack. More than 2 DDs is a a burden to the team because there is a lot of enemies ship in that map and if you let one enter the haven, the airfield will be immediately focused and destroyed. - CV attack on Raptor is futile, Raptor escort group has very strong AA and Raptor itselft has 2 full fighter squad, so your best bet is scout Raptor for your BBs. Raptor sunk after 5 mins from the start 4 forts left and all enemies removed

Retried the new operation. Nelson is real Raptor nemesis . Superheal is OP

Not the whole line, only Alsace can have both good main armement + good secondaries. I can say that it outguns FdG in that aspect. France has worse secondary firepower and worse camo than Alsace so it is bettter for France to stay with main guns.

Those formula are for horizontal dispersion. The vertical dispersion formula are a bit different because they add plan of attack which depend on shell trajectory in the calculation
