Many thanks I didn't know this website. Still can't understand why WoWs are not including this info in the menu.

Good morning for some reason HE rocket have clearly indicated the penetration capacity while this important information is not displayed on AP rockets. Perhaps in the future you may consider to add this data which is even more important then on HE. Thanks

Methods of Distribution of New Ships - (DB 346)
Alfa_Tau replied to Makoniel's topic in Development Blog
Sevastopol has been a port home of the Russian fleet (firt during the Emperor era and after during the USSR) fore a couple of centuries. This is a game based on history not on politics. There is also an Italian cruiser called ZARA which was the Italian name of a contested town that today is part of Croatia. In europe we have too much history. If we start to yell at each single name... the game will be dead. And this is only a game. take it easy and prepare your coal. -
A true admission that submarines are not working.
Alfa_Tau replied to Corpsetaker's topic in General Discussion
Now you are giving WG the idea to make subs invulnerable to ramming.. you know just to make their experience more enjoyable and prevent casual NOOB related death ! -
A true admission that submarines are not working.
Alfa_Tau replied to Corpsetaker's topic in General Discussion
WG is introducing subs because they see a huge economic potential both on asian server and europe one. All other objections are pure fantasy, They know (through polls) that there is a silent majority of players (mostly germans probably as germany in EU is the biggest selling market for WG) who are waiting anxiousòly this jewels, ready to open their wallets to get them. Now there is only one thing you can do to try to boicott the process. STOP SPENDING MONEY. Everything else, including coming on this forum to complain, WILL NOT WORK. Cause they DONT CARE About you as a single. -
World of Warships 7th Anniversary, updated Operations, Battleship mini-game, and other news — 0.11.8 Closed testing. (DB 354)
Alfa_Tau replied to YabbaCoe's topic in Development Blog
Yep it is! I found the line in the article. Depending on the Tier of the ship, you will receive various rewards, including new containers with economic bonuses: for Tier V-VII ships – 1 "Special bonuses" container; for Tier VIII-IX ships – 1 "Special bonuses" container and 1 "Rare bonuses" container; for Tier X ships and superships - 1 "Supercontainer". -

In the past players were receiving Super containers for each tier X ship in the port. Is this still valid? -
For statement like this you risk to be crossfired by the DD Mafia... the most powerful organization in WoWs...

Good morning today I made a new discover in WoWs . After a battle in Tier V Giulio Cesare where I was harassed by a tier VI Sub, I discovered the following: Range of support plane for ALL Tier V BB is 6 km (Okt Revolution, Texas, Viribus Unitis, Piotr Veliky Etc Etc) BUT Giulio Cesare got only 4km!!! REALLY?? WHY ?? U 69 has 11.5 km range on its torps. Cachalot has 10 km range. Fun and engaging mechanic. IMO all planes should have a range of ten km to really counter balance (a little ) the sub. @YabbaCoe Are you going to fix the Giulio Cesare parameter??
-
Perhaps my skillfull friend, you forget to consider that while Massa and JB have great secondary to use, GC don't. Moreover JB has a great mobility. GC max speed is around 28 kn .. not enough even to run away from a sub. Last but not least, tier V maps are quite small. therefore for a sub with 10/11 km torps is quite easy to attack a slow BB from safe distance.

Thank you all for answering my question. Now I know it was intentional.

Balance changes to Chkalov, Petropavlovsk, Yueyang, Des Moines, and other ships — 0.11.4 Closed Testing (DB 321)
Alfa_Tau replied to YabbaCoe's topic in Development Blog
So this means that someday we can expect a NERF top a ridicoulus DD like the Benham that is universally consider BROKEN? Or perhaps you are working oin nerfing T61 another DD that is also broken?? I am curios about this way of consider priority in rebalance ships.-... Of course this will lead to a revolt by the DD MAFIA still the most powerful in the game... -
BEFORE BUYING... consider WG is going to NERF the CHKALOV... for now. Soon I guess they will also NERF the B25 of the Hornet... my guess before Xmas... KAGA will follow? Who knows,,, certainly the new policy of WG DO NOT inspire trust in me as a customer.. That said KAGA is at the moment a better choice..

Alfa_Tau replied to YabbaCoe's topic in Development Blog
Perhaps I have missed something... How did the introduction of Chkalov changed the meta? A thing that changed the meta are submarines that are getting constantly and blatantly OP. Still CV is the only class left in the game with no counter against them.. to quote the gospel: you look the speck in the eyes of others but you do not notice the beam in yours -

and perhaps NERF all Dutch/pan european DDs? They have more AA then a Tier X CV its simply ridicolous. -

Alfa_Tau replied to YabbaCoe's topic in Development Blog
Dear Yabbacoe, The fact that a ship has been released without proper testing and resulted overperforming it's a MISTAKE of the company. If WG now realise that this was a MISTAKE the result should NOT be to penalize the buyers. Go aehad with the NERF but at least give a 10% refund to the buyers would be a FAIR policy, From my side what I can now tell yuo is that there is NO good in buyin ANY premium ship . Because we (the customers) have no protection or guarantee that our money will keep the same value. Who guarantee now that WG will not deliver more OP ships to bait people into buying them and soon after they will nerf WITHOUT any consequence on the company side? This kind of behavior and approach to customer relationship is completely INFAIR in my opinion. PS What about Indomitable? probably the WORST tier VIII CV since the rocket NERF? When are you going to BUFF her?? She was released long ago. This is another sign of your atterntion to Fking Customers -
Hello Hello Today I tested the CONDE' in a few battles . Not being a cruiser main I have to say I am impressed. The ship is really fun to play cause has great DMP and very accurate guns. It's very agile and both HE and AP deal a lot of damage. Actualkly I had 3 games out of 5 over 150K damage. Which for me, not being a "good" cruiser player is a very good result. But what also surprised me was how EASY was to farm the damage. Every 2 /3 hits I was starting a fire. AP devasted a Des Moines behind an island... I mean really WHY should I bother farming STEEL or collecting RB points, painfully grinding and regrinding a line? To get what a COLBERT? or an AUSTIN that will be devasted by the CONDE guns? I think the introduction of this ships at the TOP of tech tree will seriously change the META as it is now. And IMO not for the better. My personal advice/feedback: 1. make a tier XI ONLY MM/ 2. Limit them to special game mode where these super MONSTERS fight among themself. Today I devasted a TIER IX POMMER and that was very easy. The difference in fire power is huge. I personally felt like being in a Tier X and fighting against tier 7 not even 8.

Potato Quality: Please stop giving out this advice.
Alfa_Tau replied to The_Angry_Admiral's topic in General Discussion
a new CC from NA Server.. Like many US he is primarly a BB player complaining about everything which is NOT a BB.- ah the good old days when CC were mainly playing cruisers and DD... -
SUBs have been made easier to play and deal a lot more damage, to the point that today they are much worse than CV soon after the famous "CV REWORK". FACT: Have always the first strike opportunity and there is little or nothing you can do to counter it. OBSERVATION: The difference with CV is simple BUT paramount. All planes have a basing detection range of 10 km; this give you the time to see them coming and beacuase their armament has short range you can therefore start to turn or reinforcing your AA sector etc. Smaller ships can even disable AA to force planes to come closer and therefore to deal the first big amouint of damage to planes. Second factor to keep in mind: If you are engaged in a gun duel you can decide to wait to use your repair party consumable after the strike. Cause you see planes circuiting around and possibly coming for a second run. DIFFERENCE Against sub no decision is possible you dont see them coming . You have no warnig and the defensive armamaent is a joke. 1. Def AA will ALWAYS deal DAMAGE to your opponent (PLANES). Depth charges fom atttacking planes NOT, cause they require accurate and timing drop. Quite often the sub' s position have to be guessed. They move faster then your planes come and drop. On top of that planes drop CANNOT be too close to the ship (WHY?) which makes sub life even easier and counterplay even more impossible. 2. Using repair to disable sub targeting is @king BS . At least give ships a different consumable. Can you imagine telling any ship in the game "if you use Def AA during recharge time u CANT repair damage? 3. If you are a DD you must run on top of them wich will expose your ship to enemy surface ships fire. 4. if you are a CV you can only RUN . CV are the only class that have literally NO counter at all. POSSIBLE RMEDIAL / BALANCING REMOVING SUB but I know it wont happen. Well prepare your boss to see a downcurve in earnings cause many players will close their wallets. You need to develop a model where subs can be spotted at a distance . Either you give some sort of hidro to all ships which WILL BE EFFECTIVE ONLY against submerged subs. And you need to find a way to make the ASW armament EFFECTIVE. In all real conflict DDs were the nightmare of SUBS. In this game they are the JOKE. Now I have done your DEVELOPER job without even being paid., I wait for the next personal letter were I will be accused of not being PROPOSITIVE and UNFAIR toward others.

Submarine Trials Return — 0.11.2 Closed Test
Alfa_Tau replied to YabbaCoe's topic in News & Announcements
Sorry I don't reeally have this impression. Last game got shot gun by a torpedo salvo ffrom short distance. Guess what? Sub was to close to use my support planes and I sunk without any oppoortunity to retaliate... -
No it was 375K .. which made her the less expensive ship in free XP. By the way one of the primary reason to buy her was it's incredible capacity to start fires. At that time I was earnig a lot of combat flags like "firestarter and whiteterer" . BUUT this today has been REMOVED without any explanation (IMO only to force you to buy them) and you face a lot more of Tier IX ships that at that time were relativaly "BAD" (an example of that dinosaur era is the IZUMO: it was the cross to carry before arriving to Yamato or the Roon before the Hindemburg) . Today with the introduction of many good Tier IX premium/reward/special ships tier VII is probably the worst tier to play. No reason to regret if you can t buy her. Mine is rusting inside port. PS If I could I would sell her for 5K dobloon.
-
M;y dear friend, unfortunately this has becoome progressively a very expensive game. Probably because the average age of players is quite high and this means that many among them have a regular income. I play since 2015 and I have seen prices going up and good stuff going down. Personal advice for you: don't bother . if you have the opportunity buy premium time which makes a lot of difference. Earn coal or steel : there many good and fun ships to play among them. wish good luck in battle.

The minimum bid for those 20K research points are absolutely dispoportionate. This is why in my personal opinion: A coal ship cost range from 220 ~ to 250 ~ thousand coal. which means that minimum bid (and I would like to stress the word MINIMUM) you can almost buy a coal ship (and there are many good ones). In return 20K RB points are around 30% of what you need to buy a RB ship. Among which very few are really worth the expense if you ask me, the best one being OHIO. So even if I own 300K coal I will NOT spend 200K for that. I prefer to keep it and using for the next coal ship that I like (momentarily there is only kearsage but I am not really interested in it) Will keep it for the return of the Black (June this year). PS a fair minimum price considering it's an auction, could have been 100K .
