Ships take a while to appear on screen (but shown on minimap)

Well, yes. If the model is displayed already, it must be in RAM by necessity

Ships take a while to appear on screen (but shown on minimap)

This would be indicative of the game needing to fetch the model from the HDD

Ships take a while to appear on screen (but shown on minimap)

Yes, happens to me too. Also, as somebody else said, smoke appears immediately in the right position where the ship is, if i'm not mistaken. It clearly can't be happening to everyone, as i've been shot multiple times immediately after contact.

Yes, a lot of mods. Will try without them, but i don't think that's the problem. Also worth trying low textures?

Definately not latency, i get a constant 35 ms. Not graphic card too, it has nothing to do with that too. I also suspected it could be the time needed to transfer the texture to memory, but i think those are loaded at the beginning of the match and not unloaded.

I think it's always been like this but, why can they fire on me way before i can fire on them, then? There's AT LEAST a 1 second difference, possibly two.
  8. Hello. I don't know if this is an issue with my client or the game, or is just working as intended and the same for everyone. Note that i am quite an exprienced player, fully aware of how spotting mechanics work. When a ship becomes spotted, i have it appear on my minimap as usual. However, it takes 1-2 seconds for the ship to appear on my main screen. Often i am in smoke, and i know another DD is close by. As soon as i exit smoke, i get detected and the enemy DD appears on my minimap, detected by me. I even get "tracked", as i see the (1) number near the "detected" icon, so i know the other DD is aiming at me. However, it still takes a couple seconds for the enemy ship to appear on screen, during which i cannot target it (and they can). Often times, by the time he appears on my main screen, enemy shells are on the way already. Is anyone else having this problem? Do detected enemy ships appear immediately on the main view for you guys?

Is it possible to get back autospy's icons? They were the most readable and with all the necessary data. Seems gone now?

    Whats up with the MM?

I believe the game servers just crashed

Thanks, will try. How about having autospy's icons and XVM? I don't want the uber long panel with Health for each ship, which gets even bigger with autospy's

[0.5.6.1] Ballistic calculator. A real help with aiming

I tried out the mod, but i couldn't really keep it in current state. There's 2 issues that i can't get around: - There is not center "tick" to display center crosshair; it feels strange and empty. When you are moving guns, i have difficulties estimating how soon i can take the shot. - I would really, really like more numbers. A "5" and a "10" don't cut it. Especially at higher zoom levels, i waste a lot of time "counting" pips to aim correctly.

[0.5.6.1] Ballistic calculator. A real help with aiming

Why not? I like playing the fuso because with Nappelcommander's scope (the one i'm currently using), i know that each #number mark corresponds to a firing solution for a ~28 knots target at #number kilometers. If target is at 13 km and estimated 28 knots, i use the tick numbered 13. I am extremely precise with this. I check for target's max speed against Autospy's icons, so i can reduce or increase lead as needed. However, for the Nagato, the mark system doesn't work anymore because its projectiles are a little bit faster and it messes my aiming up completely. Even just using the mod so that the marks are the same number as the distance of target is a great way to improve accuracy and quality of life. I'm trying out the mod now, but expecting to use a fixed "speed" setting on each ship so that numbers corresponds to distance. From there, aiming is way easier.

There is a problem with planes. I see a lot of code text under planes when i press the ALT button. Note that i am using Aslain's OTM (Over target markers) by track destroyer, which shows different HP bars and information Can upload an image if you need

Is there a way to fix the Autospy icons? Or, are there any other icon packs with as much information as autospy's?
