Thank you - I'll watch that this evening. Based on what I worked out for myself, gun aiming is quite interesting in boats - I like the marker grids; much easier to accurately lead targets than in WOT, at least at lower tiers...

Another new arrival (been persuaded to give the game a punt from a friend who I play WOT with) - thanks to everyone for the helpful posts above. My knowledge of boats (apart from the fairly obvious stuff) is pretty weak, so my learning curve is much steeper than with WOT (20K ish battles across all platforms and servers), so all these tips are really useful.

I wouldn't mind this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_cruiser_Georgios_Averof (I have fond memories of seeing it on a school trip in my teens); perhaps an excuse for a shameless premium if there aren't enough actual Greek ships for a full tree...? I have to say, I'm not aware of Greece as a particularly notable nation of warship builders, but I could be less well-informed than I should be.
